“We are from the same team.” Nora admitted looking at Alric as if he was a scoundrel. “Who would have thought you can not control your urges even for a day or two. Really? Did you not get any other shop but this? You really are a troublemaker.” Alric scoffed and looked away.

“Do you think my sources are wrong? This man..” he pointed at the leader, “have enough weed on his body. I can smell it even from this distance.” the leader’s eyes twitched when he was pointed like that.

His eyes flickered and unconsciously looked at his pocket. Alric grinned looking at his actions.

“That is enough, tie both of them. Since he did not love his life anymore, why should we care.” the car had already started but no one came for them!?

“Is it the money you want? If that is the case!” Nora rolled her eyes when their leader chuckled hearing Alric’s offer.

“Just let us go! will you?!” Nora cried and struggled again. Furious with their back to back tantrums, the leader slapped Nora hard. Her lips started to bleed at once.

She shrunk at her place and whimpered after that. Alric’s eyes went dark. He stared at the leader’s face. This man.. Will die!

He pulled Nora closer, “there is no need to be worried. They will not harm us.” the leader snickered and looked away. If not for the video the girl had demanded, he would have killed both of them already.

“There is no need to worry.” Alric whispered again when Nora moved closer. Their hands were tied behind their back and they both were pushed on the backseat with a man smoking weed while smirking at Alric as if he was showing off his goods.

Nora stared at the man. For someone who had been kidnapped for the first time, Nora only struggled briefly and went silent. He knew that calculating look in her eyes and now he doubted if she was even scared just now or putting on an act like him?

Even if she was smart, he was still stunned by her cold composure.

“It will be suspicious if we are not frightened at all. It makes sense to cry a little after being kidnapped,” Nora whispered in a low-pitched and tearful tone when the man looked intoxicated.
