Chapter 256: You Are Precious

Nora didn’t hesitate. She sprinted toward the door with Alric close behind. There was a large crowd still dancing around with a care in the world.

“If we go out..” Nora knew what he meant. She nodded and walked inside the building instead. Alric took off his bloodied jacket and threw it outside.

“Where is the restroom?” he asked a swaying girl. But the girl did not seem to listen to him. She opened her eyes and noticed a handsome man. She pulled him toward her and swayed instead.

Strong smell of weed engulfed him before the girl could pull him closer.

He pushed her and then asked a few more before finally someone pointed at once and closed the door. He held Nora and walked there.

“We can not hide here for long.” Nora could see they would be recognized easily. Though there was a crowd, they were dressed differently.

Alric found a girl sitting at the nearby chair and drinking. She was hardly conscious. He paused and whispered something in her ears.

The girl opened her eyes forcefully and looked at Alric. Smiling, she nodded and followed them. Alric closed the door behind him.

He held the girl tightly in his arm and pulled her dress away. The dress fell on the ground, leaving Nora stunned for a second.

“Hurry up!” Nora blinked and only then did she understand the dress was for her.

Sighing, she picked up the dress full of strong fragrance and wore it. Then she threw her shirt and pants on the ground.

Alric did not turn at all. He was holding a nude semi conscious woman in his arms who was trying to kiss him. Yet, he did not turn to look at Nora as if it would be disrespecting her.

“I am done!” she whispered as she walked closer. Only then did Alric let go of the girl. She could hardly stand up on her own and fell on the ground.

Nora put the top on her and then they both left the washroom.

“The help would be here in half an hour.” his voice had a hint of frustration. We could not leave before it.

“Could not..” she pulled him to a dark corner on the dance floor and wrapped his arms around her waist as she leaned on his chest. Her eyes flickered under the reflection of a myriad of dim lights. “Or you do not want to!”

He smiled, his hands moved around her hips. Trailing the boundaries of her undergarment, he leaned to kiss on her nape. “You know the answer already.”

Nora shuddered. Not with the thought of him killing the other two. But his touch. She was only putting on an act, but he was not.

“Alric!”

“Nora, I have so many questions for you. Promise me you will answer them once we will be free from here!” she leaned further on him. His hands moved all over her skin. It was making her dizzy or it was the intoxication of her own clothes. She did not know.

The kidnappers reached the dance floor looking for them, their faces twisted with rage. One of them, the man Nora had struck earlier, drew a knife from his belt. They were looking for Nora and Alric.

Alric kept an eye on them as he continued dancing.

“I have no reason to answer you, Alric. We are not friends.” She cut the line and pulled him for a deep kiss when one of the kidnappers passed them.

The kiss was a ruse. She had opened her hair and wore a different dress, it would be hard to recognize them if Alric trapped her between the wall and his arms and they would be kissing.

The man did not stop in front of them as he kept looking for them. Nora wanted to push him away but Alric deepened the kiss. He was tasting this forbidden fruit for the first time and he could not let go.

“Mmmmm.” The kiss was strangely different from the kiss she had shared with Benard or Victor. It must be the weeds in the air. She felt different. The kiss was different. For a moment she did not want to let go when he finally let go of her lips.

Her eyes were dizzy. She raised her head and looked into her eyes.

“But we can be much more than friends..” she shivered again under his seductive voice. Her breath came hard, his hands slowly rubbed her nape.

“Come with me.” He pulled her onto the sofa. It might be to hide from the kidnappers looking for her. But even she knew it had much more to it. Yet she followed him.

He sat on the loveseat and pulled her on his lap. His hands wrapped around her waist and he kissed her again.

The kiss was deeper. His tongue was making her whole body numb, yet she could feel it like she had never felt it before. It was demanding yet giving. Hard and passionate yet full of gentle caress and love. Love? The last word horrified her and she pulled away.

“You are precious Nora. your body, your soul, your heart and your emotions. Everything about you is unique. You can not treat yourself as a weapon, as a means all this time. If those men had touched you today, I would have burnt all of them alive even if I had to burn this whole building for it.” Nora blinked. All the heat her body was feeling drenched under his cold words.

Yet, she felt a strange spark in her heart as she stared at his sincere face.

“Alric! I have a lover already. I do not want to betray him.” Alric paused. He was stunned for a long moment and then he laughed.

“We are just hiding from the kidnappers. What are you talking about? I said that I would protect you. But have i ever asked you to be with me or… it is relieving that you have a lover already. Cherish yourself for him.”
