Chapter 263: So Beautiful.

The crowd was cheering for each other. All kinds of jokes were passed. The teachers let the students enjoy themselves. As the final year students of high school many have lovers or boyfriends and girlfriends already. Now that they have achieved something, they are showing it off to beautiful girls to get their attention.

The teachers had taken a corner and exchanged cards. A few people from the management teams of good universities and colleges had also attended the party. They all were laughing and cheering.

When Nora entered, she noticed that all of them had come with a partner. Finally, many friends and families had travelled to cheer for their loved ones.

Suddenly, Nora stopped and was not so sure anymore. The warm smiles on their faces made her feel it was not a place for her.

She took a step backwards when her back hit someone’s chest. She was stunned for a second. How did she not feel the presence of that person?

“Did you forget something in your room?” a warm hand held her shoulders. Alric learned to whisper in her ears. Nora froze for a second.

Her eyes stirred with strange emotions as she tilted her head and felt his gaze on her warm lips.

“Or you are thinking of running away again.” his hands moved from her shoulder and he hooked his arm around hers. “If you were coming to look for me to be your partner, I am already here!” Nora stared at the arrogant smirk on his face and rolled her eyes.

Their ways would separate after the nights. There would be no harm in being her partner for the night. With that thought, she did not struggle in his arms.

As he guided her inside, Nora smiled and bowed to everyone who looked at her.

Everyone was attracted to beautiful things. When Nora and Alric walked together, they looked like a couple on the magazine covers. Many stopped to look at them. A few felt spellbound by their looks.

Alric was wearing a black tuxedo with a red shirt for a change. It matches perfectly with Nora’s dress. They looked like a couple matching outfits. Nora had a mature look on her face while Alric looked younger.

Their smiles and their steps were so aligned and graceful.

Director Reid smiled and shook hands with Alric.

“Thank you, when I requested you, I never knew that you would take such good care of Nora. you have even put yourself in danger for her. I can never thank you enough, Mr Spencer. I never knew you have such a warm side of your personality.” Nora wanted to laugh. The man looked so stunned as if he was afraid that it was Alric’s doppelganger of Alric.

“That is the least I could do for my last visit. Next time, Nora Stone will accompany you when you bring students for the competition.” Director Reid laughed. He thanked Alric for his kindness and exchanged a few more words.

“Nora.. would you like to have a dance?” a young boy asked with a red face. His hands were still shaking as he extended them.

“It is not a dance party, Jack. Why are you badgering the girl?” his friend teased only to get a glare in return.” In the next moment a fast song started to play in the background.

Everyone gasped and they laughed.

“No wonder! After all, this hotel belongs to your family.” someone commented. Jack did not feel embarrassed. He squared his shoulders and nodded.

“Yes. so anyone can enjoy dancing. Tell me if you want something else too.”

“Shameless!” someone commented from the crowd. Jack wanted to dance with Nora. yet he speaks so righteously as if he had arranged it for them.

Many boys asked to dance and took the girls with them to an empty area. The lights soon dimmed and focussed on the dance floor.

Nora laughed and followed Jack. They danced together on a fast beat.

When the song ended, Jack wanted to ask Nora to continue, but before that Alric placed a hand on his shoulders.

“The song had already ended. Why are you still lingering on the dance floor?” Jack frowned when Alric did not let him go. He wanted to force Alric, but he did not want to lose his image in front of Nora.

The young boy was no match for Alric. He pushed Jack away and smiled at Nora. she was looking at Alric with a raised brow.

“My lady!” he gave her a dramatic bow, “may i have the pleasure to dance with you?” with a chuckle, Nora placed her dainty hand on his large palm.

This time the beat was much slower. Many couples had moved closer and danced to the song. ALric stared at Nora’s face. She looked so different with her hair tied in a bun. It was the first time he had seen her in makeup. She looked so different with her cold self.

He kept staring at her for a long time, yet he felt it was not enough. Nora was feeling uneasy with his unwavering gaze.

“Alric!” she looked around to distract him. “Why are you looking at me like that?” She did not do make-up often. But Xia Yu said she was an expert at it.

Nora refused but Xia Yu did not let her go. Now she regrets it. She must be looking like a fool. She had seen many stealing glances at her face but Alric was looking at her so brazenly. He must be laughing over her.

“Because you look so beautiful.” Alric admitted making Nora blink.

Heart burnt her skin and she lowered her head.

“Did you find no one else since the morning!” she complained but there was a fluttering warm feeling in her heart.

“Nora, you are really beautiful. But tonight, you look ethereal. If you do not believe me, look at the flushed faces of the boys.” he looked around and many boys looked away embarrassed.

“Hahahaha!”
