“Madam!” The low voice on the door stopped Sohpia from shouting further. She hesitated before opening the door.

“What is it?” looking at the cold and dark face of her mistress, the maid hesitated.

“You have asked me to keep a close eye on Nora. She is having a fever.” Sophia paused and then laughed.

“And you believe it? She must be putting on another act to get the attention. Let her be, she will be fine after some rest.” the maid hesitated but looking at the cold eyes of her mistress, she could only nod and leave.

Sophia stared at the cold door of the washroom with fuming eyes. She changed her clothes and went to find Penny.

“Penny! We are leaving for your audition. We have a long way to go, hurry up!” Penny frowned. The shooting was in the evening. But thinking about eating breakfast with Nora, she left with her mother.

When victor came out, he was not in the mood to care about anyone. When he found the breakfast table was empty, he only grumbled and gulped the cold coffee and muesli before leaving for his office.

He had business to handle.

Sohpia took his daughter shopping. Then they spent time in the spa. She took her to the best make up artists and made sure that she look stunning for the audition.

“So!” Penny was still sitting on the chair in the salon. Sophia stood behind her daughter and leaned near her face as she stared at her reflection in the mirror. Her face had a proud look that Penny blushed.

Penny stared at her reflection in the mirror with gleaming eyes. She could not recognize it was her. There was no way that she would not win the audition.

“Mother, you are the best.” She hugged Sophia, forgetting about her past grievances completely. The knot in Sophia’s heart started to loosen as she saw her daughter happy.

In the end, she and her daughter had everything while Nora and her mother lost everything. She was the winner of this race.

“Penny, you would be a superstar. You would be so popular that Nora had to raise her head just to get a glimpse of yours.” Penny nodded at her mother as they left the salon.

When they reached the audition only available for freshers, Penny shone instantly. She was better than any girl present. Dressed in an expensive dress, she created a noble princess aura.

“Your looks are perfect. You need to act as a rich socialite arranging a special party for your friends. You are confirming from the waiters that only Blue Corn Drinks were served at the party. If there would not be their drinks, the party would be cancelled! Did you get it?” The director was polite but stern with his commands.

Penny nodded with confidence. She had practiced the lines for a few days. When it was her turn, she left a perfect impression on the director.

“Action!”

Penny descended the stairs elegantly with a perfect noble aura. She looked around and found the waiters arranging drinks. She glanced at the drink with arrogance and frowned.

“Are there any Blue Corn Drinks? The party would not start without them. I have an image and only the perfect products suit me. Bring me Blue Corn Nora.” a waiter brought her a red glass bottle. Penny’s eyes gleamed and she opened the bottle with anticipation.

As she drank from the bottle, a drop fell on her lips. Penny licked it seductively. Many stared at her with eyes. Their bodies twitch. The action made them hot all over.

“Not a drop could be wasted of this perfect drink.,” she showed the bottle to the screen and winked.

“And cut!” the director smiled. “This is a perfect act. Though you have made some changes, I like them. We are going to follow this.” many contestants sighed and left.

Penny stood there with a grin on her face.

“We will shoot it tomorrow. And it will be live in a week. You will be a star after that Penny.” he patted her shoulders and Penny bowed her head.

Her eyes lingered at the men behind the stage.

“Did Mr Benard..” the director laughed but shook his head.

“Mr Benard would only come for the main shoot. Do not worry, you can meet him then. Until then, take good care of your skin.” Penny nodded and after exchanging some details and readying the paper, she left with her mother.

As they sat in the car, Penny looked gloomy again.

“This advertisement belonged to me from the start. So it is not a big deal that I got it. But what about our company, Mom? Would i not be a laughing stock in the entertainment industry if i would not work in my own company.” she pouted and looked at her mother with an aggrieved face.

But Sophia just snorted. Showing Nora on a bigger screen only meant that the world was reminded of her sister. She would never let that happen.

“Do not worry, darling. Once this advertisement is broadcasted, I will discuss the matter with the management again. I am sure they were wise enough to not mix emotions with profit.” Looking at the confident face of her mother, Penny finally smiled at ease.

“But about the school..”

“What about the school? You can skip going there for a few days. I will apply for a leave because of the shooting. And when you return there as a celebrity, who would have the courage to spout nonsense against you.” Nora finally let go of all the worries and smiled at her mother.

Nora finally stood up from her bed when her phone rang again and again. She did not look at the screen as she picked up.

“Victor, I am not feeling well. Can we talk tomorrow?” She did not want to have another argument.

“…. what happened to you.” Nora held the phone tightly instinctively. It was not Victor!

“I will be there in ten minutes.”
