“Oh! Yes. i think that is possible since she is working under Tencent company, we can choose her.” Blake was taken aback by her choice. He had thought that she would.. Blake shook his head. His personal opinion had nothing to do with the welfare of the company.

If Nora thought that this model was perfect, perhaps she was perfect. But he could not get rid of that frown on his face.

When Nora returned to the mall, covering her face with a scarf, she noticed the man roaming around her car, cursing.

“I am sure I have looked in the whole mall. It had been four hours already. How much she must be shopping to still be there. Yes, yes. I know. But..” the man sighed and cursed again.

Nora sneered as she passed him. She went to shop number twenty four and waited there.

“Excuse me, are you missing Nora?” a delivery man confirmed her name as he stood behind her. When she nodded, he looked relieved and passed her a large bag.

“These are the things you have ordered madam. If you can share the code with me.” Nora stared at the things she had ordered online. It had some snacks, a cake, a watch and some random things. After paying the bills, she walked out.

She noticed that the man was about to leave. But when he noticed Nora, he paused. Nora had already taken off her scarf. Showing her face, she entered the car and started it.

She went straight to Johnson’s villa. Since she had been there a few times, the guard let her go easily.

Mrs Jhonson was working on the plants. Without the vibe of a rich woman’s wife. Her clothes had stains of dirt, her hair tied in a loose ponytail yet she had a rare blissful smile in her place.

Nor stopped and stared at the woman as if she was in a trance. As if feeling her gaze, Mrs Jhonson raised her head. She was surprised to see Nora standing in her garden.

“Oh dear, Victor did not tell me that you are going to visit.” she wiped her hands with the towel and walked toward Nora with a beaming smile. She held Nora’s hands with glee. “Could it be that he wanted to give me a surprise!”

“Ah! No, Mrs jhonsons. Victor did not know that I was here. I have come to meet you.” looking at the confusion on her face, Nora smiled. “Last time, I did not get the chance to thank you. I have brought a few gifts for you. Hope you like them.”

Mrs Johnson started at Nora and then at the bag in her hands. It did not look like an expensive gift but random shopping from the market.

“Come inside first, I will call Victor.” she did not let go of Nora’s hands as she walked in. “he would burst with joy. These days, he has been too tense and silent recently. Must be the work pressure.” she shook her head with a sigh.

“Oh! Did he tell you that he had joined the office? He is assisting the development of the game you have created.” When Nora did not react, Mrs Jhonson continued on her own. But she noticed there was something amiss between them.

She asked the maid to bring some snacks and tea and let go of Nora after offering her a seat.

She went to the other room to call. But instead of Victor, a woman picked up the call.

“Hello, Madam. Young master is in a meeting with sir. I will tell him that you have called.” Mrs Jhonson frowned but she could only nod and ask the secretary to pass the message to Victor.

“Nora!” The woman was embarrassed now. “Victor is busy in a meeting. I could not talk to him. But you would not mind spending time with me. Would you?”

“Not at all, mam. I have only come to spend time with you.” looking at her calm and elegant smile, Mrs Jhonson sighed.

“You know, Nora. Victor had been pampered too much by his father and me. He is a kind boy but naive too. He believes in others easily. So if he ever makes a mistake, you have to guide him. I am sure he will listen to you.” Nora felt something tightening in her chest as she stared at Mrs Johnson.

When Nora did not nod, Mrs Jhonson was sure that her hunch was right. Something had happened between them.

“Ah! Look at me! I forgot to congratulate you for your award! You have achieved so much at a young age. You must have worked too hard.” She hugged Nora as if she was her daughter.

“Tell me if you want to go shopping with this old woman. I will buy you a new dress as a gift.” Nora smiled uneasily, yet he continued chatting about Victor’s childhood. His recent actions and how his father had a lot of hopes from him.

“Madam, did Victor tell you about his new friends or colleagues he was spending time with?” Nora looked at the woman eagerly.

“Hmm, I am not sure. It must be the manager he is working with. But I do not know her well. Why?” Nora shook her head lightly.

“Nothing, I just wanted to prepare snacks for all of them and surprise him too.” hearing the idea, Mrs Jhonsons clapped. She did not let Nora prepare everything. She immediately called her staff and asked them to prepare a lot of snacks.

“I would have loved to come with you, Nora. But it would be better that you go alone to surprise him. He would be stunned but joyful that way. Send me a picture later. And if my husband makes a face, tell him that he would be scolded if he created a fuss. Honey! No matter what happens, you have my full support.” Nora nodded. Since she had come too far, she would not let go of this relationship this easily.

She would have a fair fight!
