“I am new here, would it not be better if you took an experienced employee with you?” Nora slightly tilted her head to stare at Ana. Ana stood straighter, her eyes brimming with anticipation.

But Benard’s eyes did not move from Nora. it was rare for him to hunt. Now that he had found a good prey, he could not let it go. This girl had defenses and he would love to break them.

“Nora.” he placed his hand on her shoulders, “your uncle had given me the responsibility to train you. Even if you are not good at the start, you will learn it well. I have full confidence in you. After all, you are William’s daughter!” His voice was soothing to the heart. His eyes were tender and smile was breathtaking.

Benard was a perfect example of handsome and rich. His blue eyes create a magnetic current around him. Despite his age, he had the talent to win girls. No wonder she had thought she was the luckiest girl when she married him in the past.

Her body trembled slightly when his finger moved circularly on her shoulders. She took a step back to get away from his grip. Benard’s eyes narrowed.

“Alright, I understand.” Nora lowered her head as she held the flie tightly. Benard noticed the nervousness and smirked.

Is the girl a shy type? No matter what type she had! She would beg for his touch in a week.

“Good girl!” he smiled sweetly before turning and walking. He did not turn to see her again. He knew she was following him as she should.

Benard opened the door of the car and waited for her like a gentleman. When they both entered, he turned to look at her with a look of hawk.

“Nora..” his hands reached for her thighs but she moved toward the door and created distance before he could touch her. “You are too shy. Touch like that is common in the corporate world. I am only trying to relax you for the meeting.” he chuckled softly looking at her defensive eyes. “You are too stiff, you know.”

Nora trembled slightly. Stiff! She was trembling with the desire to kill him then and there.

“I have studied the file again. I will not disappoint you.” his eyes lingered on her shoulders. In the pictures, her figure was voluptuous despite the thin waist! He had the keen desire to check it with his hands.

“Hmm, is that so? How about you revise it in front of me then?” his smile made her eyes narrow. When she did not speak, he laughed. “Oh Nora, if you are hesitating in front of me, how will you speak in front of clients? We can not afford to make mistakes. Can we?” he leaned toward her until they were only inches away.

His breath was touching her skin and she felt a strange desire to strangle his neck. She stared at it for a long time, bringing a smirk on his face.

“What are you thinking Nora, I am still waiting for your report.” Nora blinked. She raised her head and met the mischievous look in his eyes. His provoking smile was just as she had remembered.

“Did you not say you will give me time?” Nora raised a brow and he laughed.

“And did you not say you will not disappoint me?” Nora bit her lips, her eyes narrowed at him. He was treating her as a mouse, using carrot and stick approach to break her will, her defenses so that he could be her hero.

“You do not need to be so hard on yourself Nora.” his hands reached for her thighs again. This time, she did not have space to move. Her back was already touching the door. “I will help you in every way if you ask me. But if you are strong, you have to play the strong part. So tell me, what do you want to choose? Do you want to do it alone or…” he squeezed her thighs and she froze.

Her eyes widened and her heart beat erratically. His smirk grew, noticing her flushed cheeks. She was like a little naive girl putting on a strong front. It was easier than he thought. He moved his hands away and stood straight.

“For now, how about you revise the file again and decide carefully.” Nora felt like she could breathe again. She had prepared herself for him.

But with this proximity, it was hard to control her desire to kill him. She opened the file and started reading. But she could feel his eyes on her.

“I heard that you have earned a prestigious award for the country. Yet you are leaving studies!” he spoke softly, as if he was concerned. “You know, if I had been your guardian, I would have never allowed it. You should study a lot. You like a bud, you need time to bloom. Only then you can spread your fragrance. Don’t you think so, Nora?”

“I do want to study, sir. But my aunt thinks..”

“Aah, Sophia could be immature sometimes. How about you apply for your degree and work for me after school.” Nora paused and turned to look at her. He was offering her a carrot!

His eyes twinkled. He leaned on the seat further and took her hand on his. He traced her fingers with his, “true, but you can work till late to cover that time. I prefer working late at night because of the silence around me. You can join me there and help me. In exchange, I will convince your uncle to let you study. After all, you are such a good bud, it would be a waste if you drop out. But nora.. You have to work hard to make it up to me.”
