Chapter 315: Only Guest

“You can not go to meet the boss!” Max had never been stopped to go to Alric’s residence before.

He frowned when the guard on duty looked so cautious.

“I am only here to discuss some matters with him. It would not take much time.” the guard shook his head. It was not about the amount of time taken.

It was about the lady who shifted in their boss’s house.

“Boss had guests. He had refused me to let anyone enter. I hope you understand.” Max frowned deeper.

In those long years, Alric had brought guests home. He was a private person.

“Alright, I will come another time.” but looking at the worried guard, he did not press further. But as he turned, he noticed heels near the door.

Alric had brought a girl home! Suddenly, his lips curled into a knowing smile and he left with a good mood.

Nora looked exhausted when she returned after the shoot. She had only sat on the sofa when Alric collected his things.

A deep frown settled on her lips.

“Where are you going?” Alric paused. He looked at the documents in his hands and then at her worried face. A hint of pleasure swept his nerves.

“There is some work left. I will be back soon. You go ahead and rest.” Nora watched as Alric left. Her frown only goes deeper.

“But you did not even tell me which room is yours.” she had only been here once. Nora stood up and explored the house. It covered the whole floor of the hospital so it was too large for a bachelor.

There was a personal gym, a meeting room, two study rooms and one office. Five bedrooms, bar, large dining room and large kitchen.

“He even has a movie theatre in his house.” That was ridiculous! With a bemused look, she checked the kitchen. The fridge was empty. The groceries were either expired or finished.

It was so neat and clean that she doubted it was hardly used. Shaking her head, she washed herself and changed her clothes.

Then she made a list of items in the kitchens. It was already morning. And if she would hurry, she could fill the kitchen before breakfast.

Nora left the house with a note on the fridge. She went to the market and brought fresh fruits and vegetables. Since it was early, there was hardly any crowd.

She brought a lot of groceries but when she returned home in a hurry, she realized she knew the password but it also need Alric’s fingerprint for opening the door.

“Alric!” she cursed.

“Umm, excuse me.” she had long since noticed the guard there. The man bowed at her and looked too respectful.

“I… is there any other way to open the door except his fingerprint?” with her ears turning red, Nora scratched her neck lightly and asked in a soft tone.

“Once, a woman entered his house in his absence. Since then the master had used his fingerprint to lock the house. I have never seen anyone entering without it, madam. I am sorry. Should I call him?” Nora shook her head. He had already wasted a lot of time on her.

“No, it is fine. Can I place all these things in your room.” the man nodded hurriedly. He showed her his small room and even offered to wait there. But Nora only put things there. She leisurely left the hospital.

She had just left the building when her phone started to ring again. There were already five missed calls from her uncle and aunt and seventeen missed calls from Victor.

This time Lucy was calling. Nora paused for a second before picking up the call.

“Hello.

“Nora! Did you break up with Victor?” hearing the urgency in her voice, Nora knew Victor had already reached her friends. But why Lucy?

“He came to you?”‘

“No, he came to Alysa and other girls. But everyone refused to help him. Are you okay girl?” hearing the worry in her voice, Nora sighed.

“I am fine. This relationship was bound to break at some point anyway. I am not fit to be a lover.” Lucy felt heartbreak hearing her blank voice. Nora had always helped others but when it comes to her, Nora never demanded anything.

“I know that love is not that easy to find. But you should not give up.” Nora chuckled at the encouragement. Out of everyone, Lucy was supporting Love?

Nora shook her head.

“Forget about it. Have you heard about Penny? She has become a model now. I am planning to help her in her career with the small video you have made. But Lucy, it could put you in a tight spot. So I am informing you in advance.” Lucy paused. She had thought every clip was deleted already.

“I do not care, Nora. you can even put my name if you want. Penny and I had separated our ways long ago.”

“Lucy! Let’s meet some day and have fun.” Lucy only laughed and informed Nora of some new gossip before cutting the call.

Nora went to a cafe and opened her laptop. She finished her notes and studied the files blake had transferred her. When Nora received a call from Alric it was close to noon.

“Hello!”

“Where are you?” hearing the worry in his voice, an unconscious smile appeared on her lips.

“I am near my school. I had some work there. Did you come back?” Alric sighed deeply. Nora could only imagine the deep frown on his face.

“Hmm. you should have called me. Tell me the address, I will come pick you up.” Nora laughed and paid the bill. She collected her things from the cafe and called for a cab.

“That would not be needed. I have already booked a cab. I will see you soon.” Nora cut the call with a large smile on her face but the moment she turned, she found a familiar face blocking her way.

“You have to come with us, young miss.”
