You have done a good job, Xander. I never knew you would bring such ace cards so fast.” Nora laughed sweetly but the man’s hands clenched into a fist.

Nora was using him as if he was her dog. And ace! She did it intentionally to insult him.

“Now can I have my shares and house back?” He did not want to waste time on the woman he could not win against. As long as he got his properties back, he would never see her face again.

Nora laughed looking at his readable face. Did he think the world worked that simply!

“Oh Xander! I did not remember promising the shares to you.” Nora shook her head. She tilted her head and stared at Alric. Alric took out the papers from the house. “This is all you can have. But for that I need more proof against my uncle.”

“You!” the man gritted his teeth with rage. “Do you think I am a beggar?”

“Hahaha! Do you think I would give a house worth thirty millions to a beggar?” looking at her amused face, he wanted to slap her. He wanted to teach her a lesson. But his hands were tied.

“I will not return the shares to you. But I will pay the market price for your father’s share. So that you can return it to him and I will return your house too. But for that, you have to prove your worth.” Xander bit his lips hard. A look of relief washed over his face.

As long as he could return what belonged to his father, he would have no remorse.

“Fine! I will go and see what I can do more.” taking a deep sigh, he left the room. Alric only walked closer when they were alone in the room.

“Your uncle might doubt him.” Nora shook her head. She knew how his mind worked.

“He would never believe that a fool like Xander could betray him. He would go to the staff first. But I will not give him that much time. One by one, he would be devastated by the night.” her eyes were cold beyond any warmth. Alric walked closer and rubbed her shoulders.

Her body instantly tensed with his touch and the events of last night flashed her eyes. Suddenly she could not breathe.

Alric noticed the change in his body and his Adam apple bobbed. His eyes went dark but he calmed himself. The girl was still a minor. It should not have happened last night. But she was so gorgeous doing it. Alric coughed forcing her eyes to open.

He smiled looking at her flushed face.

“The value of shares will fall. I have already contacted all the shareholders. But it would be better that you convince them. A few of them were too stubborn.” Nora nodded. Her mind cleared from those thoughts a bit.

“Then I will go and get ready. We should not give uncle time to know about it.” she sprinted out of the room making him chuckle.

He splashed some cold water on his face and took a deep breath. But when Nora returned wearing formal office wear, his eyes lingered on her with unquenched thirst.

He could not take his eyes away for a long time.

“Alric!” only when she called him, did Alric look away and smiled.

They drove in silence. Nora felt the heat in the air. What was she even thinking last night? Now facing him was so embarrassing.

“Last night!” Nora froze. She did not dare to raise her head. “Was a mistake, Nora. we will never repeat it.” a bucket of cold water splashed on her face.

Was it a mistake? Ha! He was the one breathin like his soul was leaving his body. She knew when a man was satisfied or not.

The car stopped and only then did her face change colors.

“I see!” Alric frowned at her curt reply. But as he saw the secretary waiting near the door, he knew they did not have time.

“This hotel belongs to me. Every staff member will support you so chin up. Do you want me to come with you.” Nora opened the door and walked out. She turned to look at him.

“I want to face them alone in the room. But I know.. You would be there for me if I needed you.” his eyes softened at once as he nodded.

Nora smiled back but when she turned her eyes were cold. Alric Spencer! I will show you that you can live without those mistakes anymore. The events of last night are going to repeat as many times as I want.

Nora shook her head when she reached the room. The secretary was confused at first but she received a call from Alric.

Bowing her head respectfully, she guided Nora to the meeting room.

“The guests are already in. If you need anything, just press the bell. We have guards ready just in case.” looking at her worried face, Nora smiled reassuringly.

There was no fear or hesitation in her eyes. The shareholders in the room looked stunned when they found Nora standing there.

“You!” a kid had called for them? They thought it was the Spencer group that wanted to collaborate with them. “You are Leonora Stone, right?”

Their eyes widened with shock.

“Why have you called her here?” a man frowned, feeling betrayed. “Your family had created enough mess for the company. And now you want to make fun of us.” he slammed the table hard as he glared at her with intimidating eyes.

“Nora!” another man sighed, feeling indignant. “If it is a trick played by your uncle, we are not going to go easy on him. Do you know how much the value of shares has fallen in a day?”

“It is not my uncle, but I have called you.” Nora smiled with a confident look. “I know that you have suffered a big loss. But I am ready to buy all the shares from you at the cost of last week.”
