“How could this be!” Sophia covered her mouth with her hands as if someone might hear her shock.

David snorted as he stood up.

“Can you think of any other reason for her actions? She is bent on destroying us even if she had to sacrifice herself in the process.” he had already walked toward his study.

Sophia gave an eye to Agatha. The woman bowed her head and retreated to the kitchen. Sophia closely followed David. Her heart in her throat as she watched him opening the drawers. Suddenly the rhinestone shining in the room flashed in front of her eyes.

Could it be that Nora was searching for something in the study that night too? Everything else was a lie! But how! She regretted not keeping an eye on that slut earlier.

She picked u0p her phone and dialled Nora’s number. Once, twice, thrice but it was always busy.

“She had blocked me.” Sophia closed her eyes. End! Was this their end?

David frowned. He took out his phone and dialled her number. His call went through but no one picked it up.

Sophia cried harder. Her hand was holding the phone tightly.

“We have raised her. If not for us, she would have died. We could have killed her too. But she is not grateful that we spared her life. She is a snake.” Sophia cursed but David did not reply. He was staring at his phone lost in thought.

In the end, he called Alric spencer. Alric picked up the call a second time.

“Hello.” The voice was so leisurely and lazy that David choked.

“This.. I am David stone! I want to speak with my niece but she is not picking up her call.” he held the phone tightly as if it would stop Alric from cutting the call.
