“How did this happen!” Penny was in trending news again. “You told me that you had checked everything. And yet we have been thrown out like we are some rat.” when Sophia suffered such disgrace.

She wanted to kill someone only then would she feel better.

David frowned. He had been busy all day dealing with all the change he had suffered.

“The value of shares I received in the school and in Blue Corn are worth more than what we had earlier. But we are only minor shareholders in the company. We will not have much power there.

And the school is run by a board. It would be hard to control it even if I buy the rest of the shares. The government had some stake in it too. We can not be careless like before, Sophia. But I can not take this shit anymore.” saying his piece, he turned to the left but Sophia could not let him go.

What if he really processed the divorce.

“Wait! If you dared to divorce me, I will tell everyone the truth.” This threat had always worked. It had bound them for the longest time. Her eyes looked at him with panic but David only snickered.

“Go on! Nora already knows about it and Alric is using all his power to investigate the matter. Do you think you threaten to hold any value now?” sneering at her, he left her alone in the large hall.

Sophia’s legs gave away. She stumbled and fell on the ground. Only now she understood, the message was David’s scheme. Now that they were sinking, he did not want to drown with them. She cried and laughed like a senile woman. Her face was full of stains. She had lost all the grace of a rich and strong woman.

Looking at the hatred in the eyes of her mother, Penny did not know how to reply. She stood there like a statue when Sophia left. Penny watched with her hand covering her cheek, Sophia ran to David’s study.

“Ha! So now it is all my fault.” Penny felt venom burning her body. It was all Nora’s fault. There was no way Lucy held so much power. Nora had planned all this.

“I could not let that woman live.” Penny wiped the tears off her face and left the house. She went to a hospital. A nurse met her in a private room. The nurse passed a small vial to Penny after hesitation.

“Madam, if anyone comes to know about this, I will lose my job and you will end up in prison. You should think about it once again.” Penny ignored the woman’s pleading and stared at the small glass bottle in her hands. Her eyes are full of hatred.

“Are you sure this would be enough?” The nurse was sweating hard. She was looking around again and again.

“Yes, only a drop would be enough. But if we get caught…” the nurse hesitate but Penny threw a wad of cash silencing her instantly.

“You can mix it in any liquid. If that did not work, mix it in the diffuser and ten minutes would be more than enough to kill any person.” The nurse counted the cash with gleaming eyes.

Penny held the small vial tightly and left the room. She had covered her face with a scarf, large glasses and a mask. Even if the camera captured her, it was hard to recognize her.
