Chapter 342: A Devil’s Deal

Penny went straight to Nora’s new address. But she did not enter the hospital. She started at the building with hatred in her eyes. Another car soon paused in front of her car.

A man walked out with a grim face. “Have you thought about it?”

“Ethan! I can only trust you now.” she whispered, her voice did not hold the haughtiness like before. But exhaustion and vulnerability. Ethan stared at the young girl with complex emotions. “Thank you.”

“You do not need to thank me. I am not helping you out of goodwill. You know the price right.” Penny froze on her spot. She had thought he was joking earlier when she had told him she needed help to kill Nora. But now..

She held her dress tightly as if she was standing bare in front of him.

“I want to keep my chastity for marriage. How about I use my.. Mouth to pleasure you?” she looked at him with a pleading gaze but the man only snorted.

“I do not use things used by others. The whole city knows that your mouth is filthy. It is either your virginity or you can go this path alone.” tears filled her eyes. She could choose to leave but she knew her parents would never be able to hurt Nora.

Just a leech who was living on their favors was not trying to trample them. How could she bear it! But her body!

“I am only a minor.” she hoped this would at least earn him some time but Ethan only laughed.

“As we are planning to kill someone, I can wait for a week more.” Penny froze! She had forgotten that it was her eighteenth birthday in a week. But Ethan remembered it! She looked at him with a complex look.

Ethan’s eyes flickered.

“I have always liked you. But I know that you would not marry me even if I offer. So I will accept what I can get.” her voice was low yet Penny shuddered. But she had already come this far. How could she retreat now! Taking a deep breath, Penny nodded her head.

“Alright! Kill that bitch in a week and I will sleep with you on my birthday.” Ethan’s face finally relaxed.

“I am not alone in this. You will bring her to your birthday and I will mix it in her drink. But she must come alone.” Penny felt aggrieved. She was already giving up her virginity yet Ethan wanted her to help.

But feeling the burnt on her cheek and remembering the look in her mother’s eyes, Penny did not care. Even if she had to go to hell with Nora, she would do it.

Ethan smirked looking at her face. Who would have thought the only daughter of mighty David Stone would sleep with him just for a foolish thing. Now he would regret firing him from the job.

“We have a deal then. I will come up with a plan.”

“Growl!” Alric paused and distanced himself from Nora so that he could look into her eyes. Nora’s face flushed as she covered her stomach with her hands.

“Growl.” Alric blinked as if he had solved a rare mystery and then he burst into laughter. Nora looked away feeling embarrassed. If only she could hide somewhere.

“Let’s go to the hotel. Please!” Nora’s lips were swollen from the earlier kiss. Her dress was disheveled and her hair was a bit messy. She looked too seductive for the world.

His eyes darkened when he noticed her misty eyes.

“How about we go home and I cook for you.” Nora blinked. “Are you not tired?” looking at the worry in her eyes, his heart melted.

Alric smiled when he looked at her doubtful eyes. “Even if you reject it, we are not going to the hotel anymore.” he settled her back on her seat before starting the car again.

The guard bowed and opened the door of their suite. Nora had only entered when she watched Alric going to the kitchen. He took out an apple for her and cut it neatly for her.

“I do not need your help. Go rest, the dinner will be ready soon.” Nora wanted to help but looking at his stern face, she shrugged and settled on the sofa. It had been days since she had last enjoyed leisure time. She opened the television and randomly scrolled the channels.

“Wait!” a strong voice paused her. Nora stared at the television in confusion. She was greeted with her own face on the television. Alric was standing behind her, his hands holding her waist and a glass of Mojo drink with another hand.

The smile on her face could steal any heart.

“I am sure you will receive many offers after this show.” She teased looking at his dazed face.

Alric looked away. He was holding a large bowl of noodles with steamed buns.

“Here!” She poured the soup in two bowls and they sat down.

“Nora, how about we get engaged first?” Nora paused.

“You want to stake your claim in front of Benard?” Alric did not mind being caught. He nodded with a grim face.

“Yes, it will force him to take a step back. Chris Benard is famous for his dirty dealings. The gentlemanly aura around him was nothing but a facade. If he had set eyes on you, he would not let you go this easily. And I also want to increase security around you. There is someone I want you to meet.” Nora raised a brow looking at her hesitant face. He did not flinch when he asked for engagement! What made him nervous now?

“You know them.” he had called them at some point. As he discussed it, the bell rang. When Alric did not move, Nora stood up to open the door. She was stunned to see Emma standing there.

“You…”

“Hello Nora! I thought you had forgotten about me?” the girl giggled with a sharp look in her eyes. Alric was standing behind her before she knew.

“Nora, Emma is your new guard.”
