“Alric, i like you too.”

“….” Nora waited for the reply. Her hands were sweaty as she waited for him to respond.

“Say that again.” looking at the disbelief on his face, she collected her courage.

“I like you, Alric.”

“Louder!” he held her hands tightly and asked in a desperate voice.

“Alric!”

“Please!” she shook her head. She was not even professing her love. She was not promising that she couldn’t live without him. It was a simple i like you, yet he was behaving like this.

“If you continue like this, I will not love you anymore.” she looked away with feigning anger.

But Alric pulled her in his arms and did not let go. Just then they heard a lot of vehicles beeping and blaring.

“Honk! Honk.” The signal had turned green a long time ago. A large number of vehicles had been collected and a traffic jam had formed on a rather empty road.

“Hey start the car, will you?” Nora blushed hard. She glared hard at Alric and tried to break free. But he did not let her go as if he could not hear the noise at all.

“Alric! We need to start the car.” she frowned but he only sighed and inhaled her scent.

“Do you have any idea how long I have waited for this! I think I liked you even when you were dating Victor. That night in the elevator when I saw you together, I felt anger. I wanted to push him away and lock you somewhere.” he whispered in a low voice making her shudder.

“Alric!” Nora paused when she noticed a shadow on the mirror. Someone was knocking the car window harshly.

“Sir! You need to start the car this instant. Open the window and show me your papers.” the voice held authority. Without even looking at it, Nora knew it was an officer.

She shot a glare at Alric but he still did not care. He let go of Nora finally and lowered the glass of the window.

“My car is having some trouble with the starting officer. Can you wait for me?” the man frowned when Alric did not show a bit of worry or panic.

He watched Nora fidgeting on the other side.

“What trobile are you facing?” his voice went cold but Alric just shrugged.

“Show me your papers.” Alric nodded and took out the papers as if he was waiting for this moment. Reading his name, the officer’s eyes widened. He instantly returned the papers and took a step back.

“I will clear the road, you can take your time.” Alric closed the windows at once. He turned to look at Nora with a smirk. Nora only shook her head and covered her face with her hands. She could not handle his childishness anymore.

“We are not going home then?” her voice had a hint of impatience and anger but Alric just leaned on his seat.

“Not until you tell me again that you like me.”

“You!” hearing the smugness in his voice, Nora wanted to bite him. She glared at him but it didn’t affect him.

“Ha! You.. Alric i hate you.” he frowned and in the next moment he hovered over her. The cars were passing through them.’

A few are still passing crude remarks or glaring at their car. A few honked while passing through them. But Alric did not seem to care at all.

“Say that again.”

“Alric, i ha…. Ummpphhh” the voice died in her mouth as he covered her lips with his. The kiss was wild, ravenous, and demanding. Nora felt dizzy, as if all the oxygen was taken away from her mind.

Yet she could feel his happiness, his emotions through the kiss, how could someone be so wild and so gentle at the same time?

“Alric!” Nora pushed him away and only then did he let go of her. Their breathing was rugged. How long they have been kissing, she did not know! But she felt dizzy.

“You have still not learnt how to breathe.” he complained softly.

“Sir!” the window knocked again. “Do you need any help with your car? I can call a mechanic, if you need.” The man was polite. ALric and Nora stared at each other.

“Alric..” her voice was pleaing, “i said, i like you.” the man smirked like a little child who had gotten his favorite toy.

“There is no need, officer. i have solved it.”

“….” the officer was speechless. The man did not even open the door or check his engine!

The car started and drove past him, leaving him dumbfounded.

“What got into you?” she could help but ask. Normally, Alric was so mature, calm and reasonable. But now, she did not even know how he would react.

“Do you want to go out and eat something special? Have you ever watched a movie?”

“…” so he was ignoring her now!

“I am tired.” Alric looked at her in the mirror. Looking at her face, he knew she was throwing a tantrum.

“Ah! Then how about we go for a walk there?” Nora followed his gaze. They were near university. The street was filled with young couples holding hands with each other.

There were a lot of street stalls where a variety of snacks were sold. From a glance, she knew there would be no fancy restaurant or dining area.

The long walk while holding hands with a few roses in their hands. She had never experienced anything like that in her life.

“Are you sure you want to go there?” Though she was asking, she was already leaning on the window to get a better view. Her eyes had a strange excitement that was hard to hide.

His lips curled into an indulging smile. “There would be no fancy place to eat there. Have you ever eaten from road side stalls?” Alric raised a brow and parked the car in response. He opened her door for her and held her hands.

“Why? You are forgetting that I do not belong to the rich from the start.”
