Alirc finally felt relieved. He was afraid that she would not forgive him anytime soon.

He took them to their seats and only when they settield comfortably did the guards leave them alone.

“Tell me if you feel exhausted, I will take you back.” Nora shook her head. Even when she is dying, she wanted to see Penny being dragged away in the jail to get her punishment.

Penn was forced to sit on the corner. Her eyes were red and her condition was a mess yet she was only offered a towel to wipe her face. Not even spare clothes were offered. Nora’s eyes gleaming looking at her poor state.

“How long would it take?” her eyes staring at the small crowd. There were only a few people related to the business world. After the disappearance of David, Penny was the center of attention.

“She did not have any proof. Shush! It is going to start.” Once the briefing ended, the case started soon.

Penny was sitting at the defense table finally finding a lawyer to defend her.

The prosecutor stood up and explained the case.

“There are three witnesses. The waitress who had been paid to give her position to Pennelope Stone. She had confirmed that she had passed the wine bottle to pennelope.

And Pennelope’s sister Leonora Stone and famous actor and model Marion. He was there meeting with Leonora Stone for a contract. Sophia Stone barged into the room and started arguing with them about family properties. Pennelope Stone had disguised herself as a waitress and served poisoned wine to everyone. “To prove my statement, I request you to invite celebrity Marion to the witness box.” the judge nodded and soon the announcement filled the room.

Marion entered the courtroom from the backdoor. His face was covered with a mask. As he walked closer, he nodded toward Nora and entered the Witness box.

“Mr Marion, Do you solemnly swear that the testimony you shall give in the present case will be the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth, so help you God.”

Marion glanced at Penny who looked back at him pleadingly. He snickered at her before nodding and taking the oath.

“Did you go to meet Leonora Stone in the fine dine club two weeks ago on 5th of January?” the man nodded at once. His face was gloomy and cold.

“Why did you meet her? The man pressed. Marion looked at Nora before continuing.

“Alric Spencer had started a new entertainment company. I had signed a contract with them. Miss Leonora Stone is working as his secretary. I was there to discuss my contracts and the resources company will provide me.” he looked reluctant as if the information was not to be shared.

Who in the business world had not heard that Alric was smitten by leonora. To think that he had transferred all the powers of his new company to a young girl. Did the company even have a future left? But no one dared to speak about it.

Nora was sitting beside Alric. The man had a cold face. As if he could even hear their inner thoughts. His cold eyes pierced them.

“What happened there?” the prosecutor stared at Nora before continuing.

“I was still discussing my contract when the waitress came and served us drinks. I was unsure since she was wearing a big cap and mask. I could not see her face and it left me doubtful. There are many cases happening these days. Where someone drugs the actors.

I forced her to take the mask off but she begged that she was sick. Leonora is a kind woman, she did not press Pennelope.

One by one the staff of the club and other witnesses were brought and questioned. Each of their words match the other.

The footage from the hotel was played. It showed Penny entering the room and then getting dragged out by the police officers.

“My lord, the defence lawyer, had nothing to say. He had not cross questioned a single staff member. I’m sure they had nothing to speak of. The proof and witness had cleared more than enough. My lord, I request for the punishment again. Criminals like Penelope Stone would never feel remorse even after killing their own blood. That is it, my lord.” the man slightly bowed his head.

His voice was full of conviction and force. His every word was enough to kill a person ten times. They all watched Penny horrified! How
