Chapter 380: Cut Your Ties

“Alric!” she frowned but Alric shook his head. “Did you not say you are not ripe enough. Why are you tempting me then? Finish your meal so that we can rest or else I will eat you like I want.”

“…..” Nora was stunned. Heat started to crawl on her face until her whole face was bleeding. She bowed her head and took quick bites of the food hoping it would calm her erratic heart. But it kept beating faster and faster.

What would happen if she nod? If she agreed with him? The thought made her toes curl. She had had sex before. But every touch of him ignored a new fire in her body as if she was feeling it for the very first time.

“I.. you should eat too. Pizza will not taste good if it gets cold.” she spoke hurriedly and shoved another piece in her mouth.

Alric laughed and then took one bite. He never came to like pizza. But watching her eat it as if it was a rare delicacy, he took another bite.

Nora dragged eating for as long as she could. She ate more than one and a half pizzas until she could not eat anymore.

Alric sighed looking at him rubbing her tummy. He held her by her arm and pulled her up.

“If you eat anymore, you are going to explode.” he shook his head. There was no choice. ALric had only booked one room. She could only follow him there.

Her heart beat faster as he opened the door. Was he going to take her tonight? But he had said that he would wait until she was an adult. But there were so many ways other than taking her directly. Her heart reached her throat when she followed him inside.

But she paused when she stood in the hall or so it was! There were two more doors.

“This is a vip suite. It had two bedrooms, one meeting room and one common hall. We are not sharing rooms for tonight.” he turned to meet his eyes and spoke in a seductive voice. When she blinked, he added, “I am afraid after your confession, I will not be able to stop myself at all.” blood rushed to her face again when he licked his lips looking at her.

“Then I will see you in the morning.” Nora opened the door and ran inside as if demons were chasing her. Alric’s melodious laughter followed him.

But the moment she closed the door, the smile faded from his face. His face was deathly cold and dark.

He walked closer to her door and locked it then he left their suite.

Nora closed her eyes when she heard the door opening and closing. She was not a fool to not understand he was scaring her because he wanted to leave.

But she acted along. Shek knew that he was doing this to protect her. But it made her feel weak again.

“Sigh! Now that the stakes have grown, I need to be stronger too.” Nora took out the reports she had recently received from Caleb and started working on them.

Soon she received a call,

“Umm, Miss Nora! I do not know what happened but do you remember the deal we had signed last week. Mr Smith called me to cancel it. He is ready to pay the compensation but when I asked him for the reason, he refused to explain it.

He even told me that I should not be conceited and apologize when I need to. But when I apologized to him, he only sighed and cut the call. Do you know what exactly happened because I am sure I did nothing to offend him.” Nora chuckled softly. It was faster than she had thought.

“It is fine! Since we are receiving the compensation, we are still in profit. Right” Caleb nodded. But realizing that she could not see him, he sighed.

“It is not about profits. It is about our reputation. If one person cancels the deal, then it is fine. But if it continues, our image will be ruined. I am more worried about his words than the cancellation. If you want, I can ask someone to investigate the matter.” Nora could feel unease in his voice. He seem worried about the offending remark,

“There is no need for it. I recently had an argument with an old businessman. I am sorry that it happened.” she sighed. She should have controlled her mouth a bit.

“Oh! Then I understood. Miss Nora would not offend someone without a reason. The other person must have deserved it. Rest assured madam, I will handle the compensation well and arrange more dealers. If you need any help, do contact me please.” Nora’s face softened, she knew that the man was worried. Yet he decided to give her his complete support.

“Thank you.” The man smiled and exchanged a few more details before cutting the call.

But that was only the start. Soon Nora received a call from the entertainment agency.

“Mam, five of our best actors had lost their contract from many advertising agencies. All of them were ready to pay the compensation but did not want to discuss the matter at all. If it continued… I am not sure about it.” She looked helpless and worried too.

Nora rubbed her temples. She had seen it coming yet she was shocked by its intensity.

“It is alright, I have found a few more contracts for them. I will send you the details in an hour. Use the compensation to arrange more resources for them. Maddy, ignore Spencer group of companies for the meantime.” The woman was stunned on the other side and as if she finally understood what happened.

“Yes madam. I understand.” She cut the call and soon she received a call from Benard.

“Who did you offend this time?” the man laughed softly, enjoying it. “I was told to cut ties with you or they will destroy my company but if I helped them… Nora, I must applaud you for your bravery.”
