Chapter 387: Pregnant Again

Nora wanted to tell him that it was too late. Even if he regretted it, she was not going anywhere and would never let another woman in their house. But before Nora could continue, Alric pounced on her. He lifted her high and pulled her toward him.

“Aah!” Nora placed her arms on his shoulder to maintain her balance and glared at him. “What are you doing?”

“Tell me you are pregnant again?”

“….” Nora watched him closely. She was not sure whether he was angry or happy about it.

“I..”

“You fool!” a woman opened the door and stared at him with burning eyes. “You are not supposed to be happy about it. You might go to jail. No, you would go to jail. I will personally send you there.” The woman shot daggers at Alric.

Nora was about to clear the misunderstanding. It was such a foolish thing to believe. How could a smart man like Alric believe that she was pregnant?

But looking at the woman in their house, Nora felt her anger rising again. She had the passwords or else how could she enter the house freely. And how dare she scold Alric.

“What does it have to do with you?” she glared at the woman with a frown and leaned in Alric’s arms lovingly. “It is a matter between us.” looking at the provoking smile, the woman wanted to laugh.

She shook her head with a helpless look on her face.

“I am a lawyer. I can put him in jail for impregnating a minor.” she explained in a low voice as she walked into the kitchen and filled a glass of water for herself.

“And did you really need to take the stairs all the way up and yet leave me behind when I took the elevators? That is such a huge blow on my fitness.” she complained as she gulped the whole glass at once.

He climbed all the way up? Nora remembered his sweat covered face and her eyes widened. Guilt gnawed her chest. He has run all the way to celebrate with her and not to confront her. She could feel happiness on his face and that only increased her guilt.

“Alric! Are you happy that I am with a child? ” For now, Nora decided to ignore this loathsome woman who was following them like a leech and decided to concentrate on Alric more.e as long he loved her, she would find a chance to get rid of this woman.

Alric put her down and nodded without a doubt. “Of course, I have loathed a child since my childhood and decided to never have one.” her eyes dimmed hearing her reply but he cupped her cheeks and forced her to look into his eyes. “But when I heard that you are going to give birth to my child, I felt a strange warmth filling me. It is a good feeling. I can already imagine how our child looks. It must be a boy!

“Have you lost it! She is still a child herself.” Nora who was beaming with joy that she and Alric could have a child frowned. Though she could not have her daughter back, she would still love her future child with all her heart.

“What does it have to do with you?” she glared at the woman with a defensive gaze. “And what are you doing in my home? Leave this instant. You are not invited.” the woman shot Alric a look before looking at Nora.

“Sweety! You should not plan a child for a decade at least. You do not know what is good for you.” Nora agreed in her heart. She has planned to stay single for a decade but things had already come to this.

If she let go of Alric for a decade, would she still have him?

“Did you not hear me?” Nora ignored her and stood firm on her words. The woman sighed and looked at Alric as if she wanted to beat him.

“Alirc!”

“Ah! Yes. Nora.. why don’t you sit down first. You will get tired if you continue standing for a long time. I will send a gynecologist to take care of you and two nurses. And you can not leave the house for the meantime.” he held her by her shoulders and brought her to the nearest sofa. He was walking so slowly as if it was her last month and delivery time was approaching.

The woman in the white looked at Alric as if he was a fool. She wanted to open his head and see what was inside.

“Alric! She is not giving birth. It will be better that you abort the child.” Nora wanted to cry now. How could they abort a non existing child. But she was not going to accept it in front of this woman.

“Debra, is it? You can leave now. I will meet you at another time.” which would never come. Nora added in her heart as she looked at the woman sternly.

“No! Debra is not going. She will live with us to make sure you are well taken care of.” Alric cut Nora in making her eyes widen with shock. But he misunderstood that Nora was worried about that prison threat.

He smiled and kissed her forehead.

“Do not worry! He is lying. She will never complain against us.” looking at his warm face, Nora was speechless.

“Tsk! You really are something! You have committed a crime and now you want me to cover it up.” Debra shook her head looking speechless.

Nora looked at both of them with her eyes twitching. Was she the only one who felt this situation was bizarre?

She pushed Alric’s hand away and gritted her teeth.

“Either I am pregnant or not, I am not going to live with your lover, Alric. How could you even think about it? What did you take me for?” she screamed with hatred and pain rising in her chest.

“Because of me!”

“Who is my lover except you?”
