Chapter 390: Send Him To Hospital

“Hello!” Nora pushed Alric’s warm arms away and sat up. Her phone had been ringing for a long time but she ignored it. But it only rang with more urgency.

Last night, they kissed each other and slept in bed planning about their kids. A boy and a girl. A girl! For the first time, Nora felt the courage to accept her again.

“Madam, it’s Jane. a girl named Emma had been transferred to our hospital. She said that she is your friend and I must contact you as soon as possible. Do you know her.” All the sleep disappeared from Nora’s eyes immediately.

“Yes, how did she get injured? Is she serious?” Nora pushed the blanked away and stood up immediately.

Alric frowned and looked at her pale face in confusion.

“Mam, she hasn’t suffered any injuries but her life is not in danger. She wants to meet you as soon as possible.” Nora had already reached her closet.

“I will be there in five minutes.” she took out a top and jeans and went to washroom to wash her face and change her clothes

When she came out, Alric was leaning near the door. He looked at her with worry.

“I have sent Emma to spy on Benard. She had come injured. I am worried that Benard had harmed her because of me.” if only she had warned Emma further or hired professionals for the job.

She felt something choking her throat as she thought about it.

Alric’s eyes flickered with dark light. But when she looked back at him, he hugged her and rubbed her back.

“Emma is trained under me. She is not that weak. Go and meet her, I will look into the matter.” Nora nodded, taking a deep breath.

Emma needs courage, she should not look that weak while going to meet her. She controlled her thoughts and hurriedly followed Alric to the hospital. It had been days and everyone knew that she was dating Alric and they were living together.

They have all seen her with him or going up many times. So everyone was very respectful toward Nora. She was soon escorted toward Emma’s room.

Emma was unconscious when she reached her room. An iv bottle was connected to her hand.

“How is she now?” she asked the nurse.

“Much better. She is only sleeping.” the nurse assured her. “She was admitted to the Engune hospital by a few men. They have found her running and then suddenly falling unconscious in front of them.

They waited there but did not find anyone following her. Later, Emma informed them about us and shifted here. She had already gotten her stitches there.” The nurse showed Nora Emma’s back where a large cut was stitched. Nora flinched and closed her eyes.

“You need to sign her form as her family since we do not know anyone else.” Nora nodded and signed the papers. She stared at the pale Emma and hesitatingly dialled a number.

She dialled twice but no one picked up. Exhausted, she picked up Emma’a phone and used her fingers to open the lock. Then she dialled the number again.

The call was connected after three rings.

“Bitch! If you are here to speak nonsense again, you can cut the call already.” a voice spat from the other side making Nora flinch.

As if the man had noticed her silence.

“Who is there? How did you get that phone? I am telling you I will cut your fingers and feed it to dogs if you harm the owner of the phone.” The voice was dark and vicious and only a fool would doubt her words.

Nora’s lips curled hearing the worry behind that threat.

“You worry so much for her. Yet you treat her like that?” her voice did not have any emotions yet one could hear the mockery being them. The man went silent at once.

“Where is Emma?” as if he knew that the voice had not harmed his sister. He asked in a calm voice this time.

“She is in the hospital.” Nora whispered, as if that was not enough to curb her anger. “She is sent by your boss.” her words were filled with venom. And without waiting for the response, she cut the call.

The call rang again and Nora watched it as if she was watching an interesting show. After ringing twice, the phone did not run again. Nora opened the message box and sent the address to the man.

Only after two hours did Emma open her eyes. She looked around and was surprised to see Nora there.

“Nora..” she tried to sit up but Nora held her and shook her head.

“You have many stitches on your back. It is better that you do not push yourself too much. How did this happen?” Emma gritted her teeth as the pain hit her. She moaned involuntarily.

“Tsk! I will kill that crazy man.” she gritted her teeth. “I followed the man as you have told me and went to the abandoned warehouse. There was a graveyard like place before. You will not believe Nora… he had buried people there alive. I… I have. We have enough proof. But they took it from me and I got injured.” she sighed feeling deflated. She looked at the ceiling with tears threatening to fall into her eyes. “I am sorry, I did not take your warning seriously and messed it up. I did not know when they noticed my presence.” Nora sighed and rubbed her arms.

She knew how charismatic Benard was. He must have hidden his men well and let Emma believe that there was not enough security.

“It is not your mistake. You have already helped me by confirming my ideas. Thank you.” now that she knew he had killed his other wives too. She could dig more and find proofs with time. Even if she did not, she could threaten him to stay away from her.

“I have hidden some proofs. That would be enough to send him to jail, Nora.”
