“This room?” it did not look special. “There must be many rooms bigger and better than this.” Ava looked around but Nora shook her head.

“But I like this one!”

“…” a strange silence fell. Ava could only watch Nora as she opened a few more doors and stared at them for a long time. When she returned, her eyes looked red and swollen.

“Are you alright?” Nora nodded and hugged Ava. Ava shifted uneasily but she did not know what happened so she could not console Nora.

“Thank you for choosing this house. You know Ava, the earth is round. If you keep walking, will you end up at your starting point one day?”

“… hahaha! It is good that you like the house.” Ava did not know what else to say as she watched Nora intently. But except for her red eyes, she looked normal.

“Should we confirm with Alric first?” Nora paused and then nodded.

“I will ask him tonight. I forgot that I needed to go to work for some reason. Can we meet some other time?” Ava nodded readily. Even she was feeling exhausted.

“Come, I will give you a ride.” she offered as they walked out holding hands.

“No, that is fine. I will take a cab. You must be exhausted too.” Ava wanted to press but looking at Nora’s uncertain mood, she nodded and left.

Nora had already booked a cab, it came in a few minutes. When she returned to Kanoobs, her father’s company, everyone stood up for her and greeted her respectfully.

Everyone knew that this little girl was their boss now. She walked to her office and a secretary followed her.

“Grace! Is Mr Benard here?” The girl was chosen by Alric. She belonged to his personal team. She had easily adapted to the work environment here and was working well. This was the girl Nora could fully trust.

“Yes, she has been here since morning. Do you want me to fix a meeting with him?” When Nora nodded, Grace immediately called to discuss it with Benard’s secretary.

“Madam, he is saying that you need to go to his office if you have something to discuss.” Grace frowned as she passed the message. It was a way to show his authority.

But Nora did not seem to mind. She nodded and stood up instantly. Grace watched with uneasiness as Nora went to his office.

She stood closer to the door and typed a message immediately.

Chris was sitting at his desk with a pile of documents in front of him. His cold and gloomy face had a smirk and his eyes twinkled when the door opened and Nora walked in.

“So after avoiding work for a whole month, you are finally here?” he raised a brow, “did your lover refuse to help you with your work finally?” he shook his head. “If it had been, I would have handled your work all your life so that you can stay at home and rest.

After all, this business and all should be left for men while women should enjoy the pleasures they could provide her.” he looked at her suggestively as she walked in and sat on the chair in front of him.

His eyes raked on her face to her body. Nora was wearing an elegant white dress. Her bare arms were thin and pale and the dress tightly clung to her figure. She looked tall, thin and ravenous in that dress.

“You must have a good experience when it comes to women since you were married twice, Mr Benaerd. So should I say I failed twice?” she tilted her head. “After all, it is rumored that your both wives run away with their lovers.”

“….” benard expression changes. His eyes narrowed but Noa did not seem to sense the danger. She only smiled brightly checking his body like he was checking hers a while ago.
