Chapter 403: So Perfect!
“At this hour?” Chris frowned. It had been half a day since he had left the house, yet she was still sleeping? He must have pampered her a lot!

The housekeeper felt his displeasure from the other side. She smirked as she sat on the sofa and blew on her nails leisurely.

“Yes sir. She had woken up after you left. But she complained that she was sick. So I brought her meds. She slept after having her meal and helped me a little with cleaning.”

Chris frowned as he imagined her sleeping lazily.

“Wake her up!”

“…..” the voice was dark and full of hidden ferocity. The housekeeper did not know how to reply to that. She held the phone tightly.

“Sir! The meds had been chosen by you. You knew better than anyone that she could not be woken up even if I pushed her from the bed.” the man rubbed his temples.

That was right, he had mixed drugs in her meds since she was still new to his world. What if she wanted to leave, he wanted to be prepared for every case.

“Forget it, I will deal with her when I return home.” he cut the phone without waiting for a reply.

Chris stood up and went to the meeting. He watched as Nora was already in the meeting room discussing something with the marketing manager with a serious face.

She paused when he entered but after giving her a cold glance, she started working again.

He raised a brow and with a casual attitude, he pulled a chair and sat beside her.

“Since everyone is here, shall we start the meeting?” a young man from the production department stood up and smiled at everyone.

“We have been working on this design for a long time.” in the background, a projector started and showed the long range of their latest products.

“We have worked hard in adopting all the changes suggested by our customers. With that, we have come to this conclusion. This is..” the man spoke in a professional voice as he explained the main features of their products.

But Chris did not pay him any reaction. He smirked and stared at Nora. She was watching the screen intently as if she could understand what they were talking about. It made Chris laugh.

This woman thinks that she knew what they were doing? How foolish! If not for Alric, had she ever been here?

When the meeting ended, the lights were lit again and everyone watched Chris expectantly. Though they knew Nora had a similar amount of shares, no one believed that she could handle such important decisions.

Chris felt everyone staring at him waiting for his insights but he did not speak a word. He stared at Nora instead.

Nora looked back at him and their gaze met.

“Since the lady is the new boss. How about we start from her?” Everyone stared at Nora with dismay? Who did not know she had taken all the files home and brought them back and the work was already finished.

And it was done so neatly? If she wanted them to believe in her, she should have at least left some loopholes to make it more realistic.

Now they have to listen to her viewpoints? Their faces turned gloomy instantly. But they could not show their reluctance further.

“Madam!?” Nora smiled softly.

“I think the product is still lacking.” she whispered softly, making many frowns. They knew she just did not know anything about the product.

Chris’s smile widened. He nodded as if he was encouraging her to speak further. Nora raised her head and stared at them hauntingly.

“From the start of your designa… you lack…”

“…….. silence filled the room. Even the sound of their breaths could be heard as they watched, now petrified.

How could this be? The ideas, and suggestions. They were… so perfect? What did she think about them? No, the question was… why did they not think about them?

The manager changed his tone instantly as he walked closer and flattered her.

“Madam, that is such good advice. We will make the necessary changes immediately. I will personally prepare the new report by tomorrow.” he bowed his head repeatedly.

Everyone was stunned except the marketing manager. He only smiled looking at Nora.

Chris felt his chest burning. He had asked Nora to reply because he wanted to embarrass her. But who would have thought she had such a fine plan ready.

For some reason, he felt that he would have done the same too if he had been working here for a long time.

“Indeed! It is such a flawless plan. Our profit will be doubled if the scheme is applied carefully. You should work hard on it.” the manager browed his head and took his seat.

“You look surprised, sir?” she watched Chris’s dark face and laughed. Truth to be told, this idea belongs to him.

In her past life, he had told her how David was running the company without bringing any innovation. If the company fell in his hands one day, he would make these necessary changes.

But he forgot about it now. And she remembered everything. So why not take its benefits?

“Anything else you wanted to ask about?” Nora stated from her seat in a nonchalant voice making Chris grit his teeth.

He wanted to embarrass her but now he was the one embarrassed. He watched as they looked at Nora with revering gazes. On the other hand, when they looked at him, they looked agitated.

Nora had noticed it too as the smilke did not fade from her face.

“Then I will give you some examples.” She started again and explained to the crowd the utility of her plans and why she made those changes.

By the time she was done, everyone was looking at her with shock.

So, Mr Benard!” Chris coughed and stood up. He left the office muttering curses in his heart.

“But why did it feel that the deal was going to bring a large amount of profit!?”
