Chapter 43: I Will Be The One

Everytime Nora hugged Alex, he felt a strange tightness in his chest.

“What kind of perfume do you use?” he asked with a scowl when he pushed her slightly away from his body. But then his eyes narrowed at the marks on her skin. Someone had tried to strangle her. Was that the reason she was wearing a turtleneck shirt even in summer.

She adjusted her neck when she noticed his gaze and nonchalantly took a step back. When she noticed the dumbfounded look of the other two boys, she smirked at them.

“I do not use any. Why?” Alex looked away from her. Noticed that he was caring for the girl. It should not matter to him whether she was strangled or killed. She had come here by blackmailing him. But why in the world was he so worked up then?

“You should use one sometimes. At least when you are going out.” her head snapped back to him. Did the punk called her stinky?

She glared at him only to see an enjoying smile on his face.

“We are already late but your clothes would not fit for the club.” the other friend pointed out that he could not stand it. Though it looked like Alex had mocked her, the rare smile he offered her was hard to achieve even for them.

He noticed that too. She was dressed too casually.

“Then let’s go racing. It has been days since I have done it.” Alex changed his plan so chalantly for her that everyone stared at him again. He was never to change his plans to show how stubborn he was.

“But.. we have already made a plan.” Liam, a friend and their classmate refused to go racing. Alex stared at Nora with a raised brow and she nodded.

“Why? Have you already told my brother about it and you are afraid that he would be angry if I change my plan now?” Alex’s voice did not show any emotions but it still left the man a shiver down his spine. His eyes widened before he could control himself.

“What are you talking about? Which brother? I do not remember you having one.” but his efforts were a waste. Alex had already wrapped his arm around Nora and left from there.

Ryan, who noticed the change in mood, ran behind Alex to catch up with him.

“Hey, are we leaving Liam behind? What were you talking about?” he could not help but ask while staring at Alex’s hands. It was holding Nora so possessive that he gulped. Alex had never shown any interest in the opposite gender. Even if they have played with girls in the club. Alex had never attached himself with any of them.

Most of the time, he just takes a corner and drinks. Or he would just go racing and bowling.

“No, I am leaving both of you behind.” Alex stopped and faced his friend. His eyes were so cold that Ryan took a step back instinctively. “You are going to stay with him and keep an eye on him. So that you would inform me later who he called. If you failed this time Ryan, our friendship would end right here.” Alex’s eyes glowed menacingly, making Ryan gulp.

Ending friendship meant ending all the perks they have enjoyed so far. What difference would be in them and others then?

“That would never happen, Alex. I can never disappoint you. Just leave it on me.” he patted his chest as if he was swearing to the god and then he ran away toward Liam.

Alex stood rooted at the spot for a few seconds making Nora’s gaze flicker. A bubble of guilt started to itch her chest too. But she pushed it back. She was saving this rebellious kid from dangers. It was all for his good.

“You are coming closer too fast.” In the next second, he turned to her and pushed her on the walls again. Her eyes flickered and then she sighed, looking bored. Alex gritted his teeth. “It is too much of a coincidence that you found out who my brother is and then you heard my friend talking to him. It made me wonder if you are hired by him too. After all, you need money and he could pay much more than me.” his eyes grew colder and colder until they were so dark and formidable that anyone would have felt the change in air.

Nora felt it too. But she was not afraid of it. Once she had faced your death and died, there was nothing that could scare her.

She wrapped her hands around his neck nonchalantly.

“I need money but I do not take the risk for it. You are better because I can always deal with you. While your brother smells danger.” which was the truth. She would never go to her brother for money. It was he who came sniffing her and trapped her.

The man chuckled, shaking his head.

“You are wrong there.” his hands reached lower and lower until it stopped on her breasts, “there are more dangerous than losing your life.” it was to scare her but he felt his hand being scalded. Her breasts were firm and he could feel her protruding nipple beneath his finger. He pressed them instinctively and noticed her eyes changing for a second.

“You will regret it.” she warned only to bring a smirk on his face. He was not going to force a girl. But that did not mean he could not scare her. He pressed her breasts again but this time she held his wrist and twisted it.

“Aaah!” The pain was excruciating and before he knew it, he was already on the ground while she was standing above him.

“I have told you, young boy, that you will regret it. I will be the one deciding how close you could be with me.” she bent her upper body and leaned on him to make him blink. “In this life, i will be the one deciding everything”
