Return Of The Heiress For Revenge - Chapter 449
Chapter 449: Trust Your Guts!
“The security did not know anything. They said a kid broke the glass vase his family was holding. They have already asked for the cleaning. But the staff was busy due to the conference.
The guard on duty confirmed that he was in the room but did not hear any accident. The cameras were not working for three days so there is no footage. Whoever it is, he had planned everything.
Should I take one of them by force and question him again?” asked Emma as she looked at the footage they had retrieved. It showed the whole garage leaving only that spot.
“But how did they know Nora would be there? As if they were sure where you would park the car. When you leave the hotel and everything.” The woman had a twisted expression on her face.
She did not like to be played.
“Shall i check the guest list again? Could it be Victor? But he had no reason to hurt Nora.” Alric frowned as he took a deep breath. His desire to kill others had never been this strong.
He knew Nora was trying to control him last night by sex but the distraction only lasted when she was here.
“I do not trust anyone. If that man wants Nora and hurts her, he would pay with his life. Not only that, I want to know every single thing Chris Benard is doing. What’s with the girl with him!” Emma sighed and nodded. It was her fault. She had been too relaxed recently because she believed in Alric and Nora’s own strength.
She forgot that it was her duty to protect them.
“I understand sir.” she stood up and Alric sighed. He was too cold to her earlier.
“Emma, I am sure Nora did not blame you. It is my mistake to not take you with us.” Emma paused. Who was this man and what happened to her boss?
She smiled mildly and nodded before leaving. Noa had changed Alric completely.
She started the car and dialled a number. A man picked up with a shaky voice.
“Madam!” Emma frowned when she heard urgency in the voice. “I was about to call you. I think they have caught the girl.” Emma’s grip on the steering wheel tightened as the words sunk in.
Her eyes widened with momentary shock and then her eyes narrowed.
“How did you know? Where is she?” She had already turned the car toward Serene Street whe3re the old Benard lady lived.
“She is still in the house. We have a signal. She would open the window every morning and smile at trees to confirm she was fine. But it had been three days since she did not come. I would have believed that she is sick. But they did not call for a doctor or take her out.
I was about to enter the house under some excuse but I noticed they had called for four guards. They are guarding the house and looking for suspicious people around the house. I am planning to infiltrate the house disguising myself as an electrician.” He looked outside the window. Two men dressed in black were checking the roads and pausing every single person that walked closer to the house.
He looked at the closed window again with a frown on his face.
“Do not be foolish. I will be there soon.” EMma cut the man. “If they have found her identity, she could be in danger because of your wrong step.” she pressed the accelerator again. The car was driving too fast for her own safety.
“Madam, the girl is pregnant and the boss worries about her too much. If something happens to her unborn child, I am worried.” Emma bit her lips. She was worried too. She looked at the long line of cars from the window and cursed.
“There is a traffic jam here. But I will be there in an hour. Keep an eye and if something happens to the girl, intervene. Otherwise wait! Perhaps, they have different reasons for the security and the girl is just sick.” She was not sure and so was the man. He went silent hearing her and after a long pause he sighed.
“I understand, madam.” the way he cut the call, she felt burdened.
She honked the car again and then stared at her phone.
“Should I tell Nora?” But what if Nora followed her? She was just attacked yesterday and Alric was furious. If she put her life in danger again, that man would kill her.
“Oh great lord!” She pushed the car and after a long deep breath, she dialled Alric’s number.
“The mission is in danger. I am going to Bernad’s old house. I would need a back up.” she spoke in an urgent tone as she told Alric about the call and their suspicion.
“Got it! I will send six men. They would be there in two hours. Do not take any rash decisions, Emma.” His voice had a warning that she could not ignore.
She knew the matter was of utmost importance. Nora had an obsession with that unborn child. She raced the car the moment traffic was cleared and drove at a fast speed.
But she did not drive the car to its destination. But stopped it two lanes away and then she brought some food. Covered her face with a hood and started walking toward the house beside Benard’s.

Alric had purchased a small house in the vicinity recently. He had planned it for Nora in case she wanted to see the child the moment it took birth.
But now their team was positioned there to keep an eye on Nat and protect her.
The man had been living there. That was why the guard had not noticed him yet. She noticed the men looking at her warily when she looked at Benard’s house. One of them spoke to the other and then came toward her.
She paused in her tracks when he blocked her way and look at her menacingly.
“Who are you and what are you doing here?”
