Return Of The Heiress For Revenge - Chapter 462
Chapter 462: A Criminal
Priscila was afraid that she would be in an accident if she drove in this condition. She waved her hands and stopped a taxi to return home. That was the best decision she had ever taken because.. A large crowd was collected in front of her house.
Her eyes widened when someone threw a stone at the balcony of her house.
“What the hell are they doing here?” she scowled ready to tear all of them apart. Her previous anger had not diminished yet they tried to challenge her through this! She was not going to let go of any of them!
“Oh! You did not hear!” The taxi driver took out his phone and showed her the live news. “The owner of this house had abused a minor and impregnated her. She was already two months pregnant when she turned eighteen. But that was not all. Her body was covered in all kinds of bruises. It’s a high end case. The crowd is agitated enough to kill that person.” the man sighed looking at the video with pity.
Priscilia’s eyes narrowed. She held the phone with trembling hands. The girl she was searching for all around was standing in front of her house creating a scene!
Her eyes were full of tears as she was crying for public support! Abused! Her ass! This girl was acting.
But the marks on her body! Priscilia ignored them conveniently as she returned the phone with trembling hands.
“This could not be real!” she shook her head. The man sighed and took his phone back.
“Madam, you do not know where the world is going! I am sure the public would kill the pair or mother and son. And they deserve it. What kind of woman did not teach her son basic respect? This man is an animal! He deserves to die!” the man spat as he looked at the collecting crowd.
“Oh by the way, do you live nearby?” he frowned as he looked around. The houses were very close. “Do you know that old woman then?” Priscilia flinched.
Colors drain from her face. She looked out but did not dare to leave the taxi.
“No.. I came to meet a relative. But now did not seem to be a good time.” She held the door tightly, afraid that someone would turn and recognize her. Her whole body was trembling with fear.
The driver nodded.
“You are a weak soul.” he smiled, “where do you want to go then?” Where could she go?
What if her son’s company was surrounded too?
“I will go to elevents street near st meyers, thank you.” the man nodded. Giving one last look to the collected crowd, he turned his taxi and left. But Pricilia kept looking out, staring at her beautiful house which would soon be ruined.
She couldn’t see Nat standing there but she knew Nat was vin the crowd. How she wished she would have burned the girl alive.
“Your relatives might be in trouble madam. I heard that the woman ran away. The police are looking for her. They are searching every house.” the driver continued with his idle chat.
Priscilia looked uglier. Her heart was pounding hard in her chest.
“But… how could they believe the words easily. What if the girl was lying. If she was pregnant, they must have taken care of her. A few.. Slap is normal among couples.” she gulped the heart down and spoke in a righteous tone as she looked out of the window. Her hands had reached for her mobile but she did not know if she should call Chris.
What if the police had reached him already. What if they trace her call and find her too. Her hands tightened but she did not dare to make a call.
“Madam! I am against any kind of violence. But so much crowd would not be collected for a few slaps. You are too simple minded. You do not know how much the girl had suffered.” The man continued and told her the story in vivid detail of how Nat was tortured and beaten.
How she was imprisoned in the house and all. The more Priscilia heard, her face lost colors. Exaggerated! It was all exaggerated. But she had no proof!
“I will stop here, thank you.” the man nodded and stopped the car. Priscilia took out a note and gave it to the man.
“You! Old woman! Stop right there.” Priscilia trembled when she saw a policeman shouting. She was so afraid that she started to run.
The driver was still taking out change when he saw Priscilia running.
“Madam, your change?” he shouted but Priscila was already gone. She kept running but it was hard in high heels. Her ankle bent and she fell on the ground.
Tears started to fill her eyes as she heard the steps approaching her. She held her purse tightly and shrunk on the ground. But the policeman ran past her.
Only then did she notice another old woman running. She blinked and looked at it a few times, her heart in her throat and her whole body was shivering.

“He was not looking for me.” she whispered, “yes! He was not looking for me.” but more tears stained her face. She looked broken and too afraid to even stand up.
“Are you alright?” someone asked her and only then did she remember she was sitting on the road. She looked like a mess.
She nodded as she tried to stand up. But her ankle was swollen and it was hard. She gasped as she stood up.
“Do you need help madam?” asked the stranger again but she shook her head. Chris was in the news. Their picture from the last annual ball of his company was shown in the news. What if someone recognized her from there? She could not take the risk.
She limped from there and entered the church. This could be the only safe place she could think of.
“Chris! Son, what have you done?”
