Chapter 474: One Less Competition
“This is a club!” he breathed low and she smirked.
“I know!” hearing the voices of the couple from another room made his eyes darkened already. He was burning with desire and the woman was offering herself to him. A shred of sanity was stopping him but she was making it irresistible as she leaned to kiss him. Her hands reached for his chest.
Roaming on it as if he belonged to her and then… going lower until she held the button of his pants and opened the zip.
A breath, a grunt, a tremor escaped his lips as she shivered with thrill, excitement and desire. Of her! She was a marvel, a beauty! Bold and confident, the way she smirked looking at him, he swore he would come then and there.
His breath hitched as her fingers brushed over him, slow and deliberate, sending sparks through every nerve ending. Alric gripped the edge of the couch, fighting the urge to surrender completely. Nora’s eyes locked onto his—confident, knowing—and she leaned closer, her breath warm against his neck.
“You’re trembling,” she whispered, her voice a teasing purr.
“You’re not exactly playing fair,” he managed to say, though his voice was husky with need.
Her smile deepened, fingers moving with a rhythm that was both torturous and perfect. The muffled music from the other room pulsed like a second heartbeat, but in this moment, it was only them. His muscles tensed beneath her touch, his control slipping with every passing second.
“Nora…” he warned, a plea and a prayer tangled in her name.
“Yes?” she said innocently, tilting her head as if she didn’t already know she had him unraveling.
He reached out, grabbing her wrist gently but firmly, trying to catch his breath. But then she leaned in, pressing her lips to his jaw, her hand never faltering. His resistance shattered. A low groan escaped him as he gave in, completely and hopelessly hers.
Her hand moved with aching precision, reading every twitch of his body like a well-loved book. Alric’s head tipped back against the wall, jaw clenched, eyes fluttering shut as pleasure coiled hot and sharp in his gut. Each stroke pushed him closer to the edge, and every breath he took was a battle not to fall too fast, too soon.
Nora’s fingers were slick and sure, her rhythm unrelenting. She watched him, fascinated, as his carefully held control started to crumble. He was panting now, his chest rising and falling with desperate need, his fingers digging into the cushions beneath him.
A single moan escaped him—raw, guttural—and then he was gone.
His hips jerked helplessly, muscles going taut as the climax crashed through him in waves, white-hot and unrelenting. It stole the breath from his lungs and any words from his mouth. For a moment, he couldn’t even think—only feel.
Nora didn’t look away. She took in everything—the way his body trembled, the way he gasped her name like it meant everything, like she was everything. And maybe, at that moment, she was.
When it passed, he slumped slightly, boneless and undone, a faint sheen of sweat on his skin and a stunned, dazed look in his eyes.
“…Damn,” he whispered, voice wrecked, breath still catching.
“You are a disaster!” he murmured, gasping. Sometimes, she was so bold that even felt embarrassed.
“It must be because you have lived so long.” Nora was wiping her hands with a tissue. She stopped at his comment. Her eyes snapped at his face and searched for something.
“You believe me now?” her voice cracked now. Alric raised a brow at her glistening eyes.
“Have I ever doubted you?” She shook her head. He was like a dream come true.
“Why do you love me so much? I never understood it.” Alric stared at her emotions and sighed.
He pulled her back on his lap.
“Because despite being burning with the desire or revenge, you never forgot your heart. Because after so many betrayals, you never stopped trusting others. And even after so many battles, you never forgot to hold friendship. Nora, you are a gem. Never underestimate yourself and never stop loving me.” he kissed her knuckles and she leaned on him. Her eyes closed as she reveled in the love he provided.
“Do you think Max would love Natalie like you love me?” She rubbed her head on his chest like a little kitten and his eyes widened.
“What did you say!” Was this the reason she went to such lengths to break Max’s relationship with Lisa!
“Are you against it!?” she bit her lips and asked in a low and disappointed voice when he smirked.
“No! Not at all. One good girl in his life means one less competition for me.”

“By the way, I forgot to tell you,” the voice came from the other side as they had just climaxed too. “Someone called me yesterday, they wanted me to find out about a girl through Max. It is her new patient. They promised to pay more than Max could ever offer.” Nora stiffened. The mood to play vanished and the desire to revenge filled her.
“Why would they pay for a patient? It must be a prank call. Maybe Max had done it to check your loyalty. How did you react to it?” The woman went silent and the man cursed.
“Oh god! Lisa! Do not tell me that you accepted.” his voice was desperate and Nora stood up.
Alric zipped his pants and adjusted his clothes silently taking a breath. That woman was going to die. And he had to clean a murder.
“No! Not yet, I did not reply to them but they told me to think about it and they would call me again. They have promised to send me half the amount in advance if I accept. They promised ten million, Rey!” Nora could smell the greed from the distance. She reached for the door, but Alric held her arm and shook his head.
“She would bring us to Chris!”
