Chapter 498: Sold!
“It is strange.” Nora stared at all three of them in confusion. The sentiment returned back.

“What is so strange, mam. All four companies belong to you. When you told us to shift every office in the same building so that you could run all of them together, we were happy to oblige.” Cael, the recent addition to her group, the manager and head developer of the IT solutions company she had made spoke first.

Everyone had the same question in her eyes.

“We have settled the entertainment company from the 24th to the 30th floor. Since they needed better views and less approachability.” Zachary, the assistant sent by Alric, started. “Fifteenth to twenty three floors were taken by Mojo ltd. since we have used three floors to keep the stock and testing and quality check. Other floors were distributed department wise. Tenth to fifteenth floor for It Solution. This is more than enough space they would need since they mostly have less staff and they do not need other equipment.” Cael shot the man a look but could not refute it.

They have provided enough space for everyone and the facilities were better than many companies he had worked before. Not to mention the good salary.

“And we did not touch your first company. They would take the first ten floors and work as they used to do previously.” His voice was full of professionalism. Nora sighed. She was not worried about management fighting with each other. But still it was hard to believe that shifting went so smoothly when she had sent police to Chris’s club.

The man believed in retaliation. Even Natalie was not attacked which was strange.

“You have arranged everything well, thank you.” she nodded. “Then we must start a meeting with the management team of each company and see how they have settled. And their monthly plan too.” Zachary nodded and shot a look to the head managers of each company who followed him with a nod.

Nora stood up and looked outside from the floor to ceiling window. She could see the bigger buildings surrounding her. But they only encouraged her to do more.

She picked up her phone and was about to call Alric when she received a call from an unknown number. Her breath quickened and her eyes gleamed

“Finally..” she whispered as she picked up the call.

“You do not know but your husband had a sister. She is the daughter of a woman raped by your father in law. And when she did not accept him, he made sure her career would be destroyed. Now the girl had a large debt and was about to be sold.” Nora frowned as she heard the man.

“Do you want to buy her? Or we sell her in the market?” The voice was full of impatience. Nora stared at her phone.

This was something Mr Spencer could do.

“Why are you approaching me instead of Mr Spencer?” she asked with a raised brow. The man on the other side snickered.

“Because I am sure he would not hesitate to sleep with his own daughter with the excuse that he did not acknowledge her. I want a better life for her.” Eveleyn, who was sitting in the back seat, looked at the man with unease. She was sure that he did not care whether she lived or she died.

“But I do not care. So you can sell her anywhere.” Evelyn heard the voice loud and clear. The girl did not hesitate on the other side. Her future was doomed.

“At least meet her before you decide. We are in front of your new office. It will only take five minutes.” the line went silent on the other side.

“Fine! Meet me in the parking lot with the girl. Bring some proof at least before striking the deal.” the man smirked and immediately accepted the offer. Then he turned to look at her torn dress and disheveled face.

“You better act pitiful and secure a place now.” warning her, he drove the car toward the parking lot. The guard was on a call and nodded at them when they tried to enter.

He noticed there were seven more guards in the parking lot. Too much for a simple business office. Evelny walked out of the car with shaky legs. She stood in the corner as they watched the elevator approaching the basement.

Inside there were two men and a woman. She watched Evelyn with a raised brow before turning to the man.

“This is the proof.” He passed her a small file. It had a photograph of a girl shaking hands with Mr SPencer with a professional smile.

Then the news of her fraud. Speculations that she had enraged someone powerful. The same woman was pregnant in another picture. And then a birth certificate with an empty father’s name.

Dna test report and many other documents about the girl. Nora gave a quick glance and closed the file. She noticed how Evelyn was holding her dress too tightly as if she wanted to disappear.

“Are you sure now? Or we can collect more proof. The best would be you can do a dna test again with your father in law. Even your husband would be fine.” the man smirked with confidence.

“What do you want in exchange?” she asked, cutting the chase. “She did not matter much to me, I will only take her if I do not lose anything.

“I want you to let Mr Benard go.” The man finally dropped the bomb. “He had never harmed you, your anger is baseless. As long as you let him go abroad, you would never cross paths again.

He would not interfere in your life anymore and you could have this useless girl. If not, she would be sold to multiple men every night.” the man smirked as if he had sorted out everything. “I know that you need time to think about it. So I will wait for your call till night. If not, she would be sold.”
