Chapter 51: Nailed It

“Nora!” The loud and stern voice of the teacher stopped everyone there. Many glared at her while others looked as if she was a giant with two heads.

The teacher sighed and shook her head.

“I have decided to deal with it silently. But sine things had come to that, dealing with this matter publicly would be better.” She entered the class followed by the head incharge.

The man looked at Nora eagerly. The words made everyone curious.

Could it be that she had done more things they did not know about? The teacher scanned the room with a stern look on her face. Her eyes narrowed at the snickering studently until they stood straight. Nora squared her shoulders. There was not a hint of hesitation on her face.

“Recently, Nora’s sister and her roommates had accused her of cheating in the olympiad exam and using fake records to enter their dormitory.” she explained slowly, still gasps filled the whole room.

They all looked at Nora with disgust, already making the teacher frown. “Which was proven wrong. We have received a letter from the authority that they are petrified to know that we are doubting their integrity. And as proof, they have sent her reports. Since you all are so interested in her life. Have a look!” She passed the test papers to the first bench.

The girl had no idea about the right and wrong answers so she gulped and passed it behind. The other person only gave a look at the perfect scores and passed it behind as if he was scalded by the papers.

A high scorer was sitting there so she checked the papers with scrutiny. Many looked at her curiously but as they noticed how her eyes widened and her face paled. They knew the answers were right.

The papers continued to be circulated in the whole room until it reached Penny. She felt like it was mocking her.

‘How could that be?’ she still did not believe that Nora had given the exams.

“Answers could be copied. If she knew so much, why did she get such bad marks in her exam?” someone asked from the backseat. The voice rang loud enough in the silent class.

The teacher failed to reply too. She looked back at Nora with an encouraging smile. Nora felt her support and smiled back.

“Because I wanted to live.” Nora’s voice felt full of emotions but no one understood its meaning except Alex. His eyes narrowed and a storm started to build in his eyes. They were so dark that he wanted to.. Wait! He blinked. What did he want to do and why?

“I can not explain my condition but if you have doubts that I have cheated for an exam. How about asking any question and I will answer it for you.” she didn’t even specify the topic of the question.

Many mocking smiles appear on their faces. Even if she was a genius, it was impossible to know everything.

It was hard for even the top students to keep us. A few of them felt jealous and even asked her questions which were not in their syllabus. They were only studying it out of hobby or they were preparing for an entrance exam.

But even then she only smiled and replied.

“Ha! She is cheating. There is no way that she knew all this.” byt that complaint had no result. How can a person cheat when they did not know questions in advance?

But then, the girls were the first to ask her a question. Even the teacher had asked her to solve the derivation she had not taught in the class yet.

“That is enough. She had proven that she knew everything in the exam and deserved to be in the dormitory. And as far as her marks in the exam. It had nothing to do with us. And if she started writing, how many of you would be able to maintain your position?” the teacher mocked making them silent at once.
