Chapter 57: A Prey And A Predator

In the dimly lit room,

Penny changed her clothes hurriedly. Then she used a dark red shade of lipstick and smokey eye makeup. Penny had good facial features, with makeup, they looked exquisite. Confident that she would be able to gain his attention, she hurriedly went downstairs only to see no one was there.

Her brow furrowed and she looked around. The maids were already cleaning the table and when asked, they shook their heads and sighed.

“Miss, you should go and rest. Madam would be angry if she came to know that you have come down the stairs, dressed up like this.” Penny glared at the oldest maid of the mansion. Did she think she was the owner now? Still when she noticed the stern look in her eyes, Penny bit her lips and went up.

Her mother was too furious last time and against him meeting Benard. But she did not understand why? She had searched enough on the internet to know that the man was a millionaire, a conglomerate whose business was well settled in a few countries. He was much richer than they could ever be.

“Do you know my father needs his help?” Penny retorted as she climbed the stairs back, “I was only trying to help father.” the maid rolled her eyes. She had seen Penny growing up. She knew what kind of help the young girl was offering.

“Even if madam would keep her safe from his man, she was bound to fall for others.” the maid sighed as she picked the tray, “how could an apple fall away from the tree.” her last words earned a chuckle from her friends.

Penny bit her lips. She was not going to accept defeat so easily. All she wanted to do was to meet that man. Why was everyone making such a big scene out of it?

Just as she was pouting and climbing the stairs while cursing others, she bumped into someone and gasped.

“You..” She was going to hurl a curse as she felt her nose was broken with the impact, but paused when she noticed a wide muscular chest in front of her.

Holding her nose, she raised her head to meet Benard’s twinkling eyes.

“I am sorry, I did not see you.” His sensuous voice full of intoxication made her feet curl and she smiled shyly.

“Oh, i.. It must be the light. I will ask them to light a few more lights.” she whispered as she took another step forward but his presence was overwhelming and she could not stop staring at him.

She was about to lose her balance because of her high heels when he wrapped his arm around her waist. His warm palm splayed on her bare back leaving a tingling feeling in her body.

“You know young girls like you should not do this much makeup. I like simple faces instead.” his fingers slowly rubbed her bare skin leaving her shivering.

Benard had been with many women but none had ever been this young, this naive. The one who wears her expressions on her face. By the way she shivered just by the bare touch, he was sure she was unripened too.

He licked his lips involuntarily.

“Where were you going ? hurry?” he slowly moved his hands away and moved asixe so that she could leave. Penny blinked. She felt at a loss when he took her hands away. But still forced a smile on her face.

But he could see how disappointed she looked. “Would you like to take a walk with me?” he asked softly and her eyes widened with a new hope, “only if you were not busy.” she shook her head at once. But then he looked at her face with a frown.

“But you have to clean your face first.” she laughed, thinking that he was joking. But when she noticed the seriousness of his face, she frowned.

No one had ever commanded her on her looks before. She felt indignant. But since she wanted to spend time with him, she somehow gulped the comment and nodded.

“Ha! Does he think that I do not look good in makeup?” she looked at herself in the mirror again and only fell in love with her face, “ha! If he would be this dominating, I will find someone else after this night.” She rolled her eyes and then washed her face and used a good moisturizer.

Patting her face clean, she left the room. Benard was standing near the open bar. When he heard footsteps, he turned to look at her. His eyes were like a hawk judging her every step. But he did not make a move.

“So, where are we going?” she asked, sitting on the stool on the bar, her dress rode up a bit in the process and she looked at him with a challenging look, but he would notice her resentment too.

His lips curled into a smile as he held her hands,

“That is a surprise!” she raised a brow as he held her in his arms and took her out of the villa. The maids watched with wide eyes but they did not dare to stop her when the man was looking at them with a warning glare.

Winking at them, Penny left the house in his sports car. He opened the roof for her and she stood up, enjoying the night wind on her face. She was doing it, she was finally going with the man chosen for Nora.

Ha! One by one, she would take every man who had supported Nora. her eyes filled with malicious glint.

The car soon stopped in front of “SIN” making her eyes widened.

“You.. are you taking me here?” her voice quivered with sheer excitement making him chuckle.

“Why? You do not want to?” even a blind could see how much she wanted it that she had completely forgotten about her resentment for him.

“Of course I want to. Who would not want it? Oh god! Thank you Benard.”
