Return Of The Heiress For Revenge - Chapter 62
Chapter 62: A New Choice?
Nora ignored the comment as she glided her pen on the paper. The questions were difficult for them but she had already completed her education once. So each question was rather easy for her.
She felt like three hours were too long for this paper. She ticked on the question while solving most of the problems in her mind. Alex’s eyes flickered. If he did not know any better, he would have thought that she was ticking randomly but he could see that she was ticking the right answer every time.
He knew that because he was making sure that he did not tick them. He calculated every single problem and then ticked the opposite answer to get a perfect zero.
He must not show any kind of talent in studies or business or.. His eyes narrowed.
“Were you not afraid when you jumped from there? What were you even thinking? Do you have any idea..” he paused. He wanted to ask if she had any idea that he had run out of the building to look for her.
If not for all the guards to stop his way thinking that he had lost his mind and was trying to run away or worse, going to kill someone, he would have reached her sooner.
But when he reached there, she was already gone. A woman with no connection. Forsaken by her family! Who could come for her help instantly.
It had only taken him an hour to reach her which was too long for a person to be standing just a wall away. But too less for anyone to come from the other side of the city.
Could it be another student who had helped her? But why did she not take his help and took the help of that person? Why?
Nora finally raised her head. She looked at him and then at his papers with a wry smile on her face.
“Sometimes we need to face our fears. I am tired of living in hiding. And the day you face the sun, I will share my secrets with you.” she slightly shook her head as she noticed his last answer and he felt a shiver run down his spine.
For a second he felt that she knew his secret. She knew that he was intentionally giving wrong answers and wanted to fail. But how? That was not possible. Everyone in the class was sure that he only had brawn. And so far he had never indulged anyone that he knew the answers to. Even his family and friends think that he had no talent in his studies.
But the smile on her face felt disappointing.
“What do you mean? Huh!” he asked again in a slightly higher voice. Nora tilted her head on the other side in reply and he frowned. Before he could understand why, he saw a piece of chalk flying toward them and he held it.
Alex turned his head to leave only to see the professor glaring at them.
“No talking during exams. If I saw you talking one more time, I would disqualify both of you.” the teacher warned Alex to smile. Would it not be better to be disqualified than working hard to know the right answer and then tick on the other one.
He would accept the offer happily but when he thought about the girl who was trying hard to complete the exam, he shut his mouth and bowed his head.
He looked at his exam sheet again but could not get rid of her words. She would tell him her secrets when he would face his fear.
Did she think he was a scaredy cat? He was not afraid of anything. Even this exam. He was only making wrong answers to ignore the drama. But..! his breath hardened and his grip on the pen tightened.
“You are wrong, Nora. I am not scared of anything.” he whispered to himself but she heard it well. Her eyes flickered when he bit his pen and broke the nib. The ink started to drip on his exam sheet, painting his teeth black in the process.
“Ah! My bad.” leisurely, he stood up and smiled at the downing teacher. “I am sorry, but can I get another sheet?” he asked without any guilt on his face.
The teacher’s eyes narrowed. She did not see what happened but she was sure it was not an accident.
“You are trying to make a joke in the class to look cool again, Alex. I know you very well.” she looked at Alex and then at the watch hanging behind her. “Half of the time is already lost. What can you even do if you take another sheet?” Although she commented like that, she took out another sheet from the envelope and passed it to him without hesitation. “But why does it matter? You are going to score zero again with your special brain.”
Smiling, she walked to him and passed him the sheets. Her condescending eyes passing on the ruined sheet and then at Nora who was ticking answers as if she was randomly making choices.
The woman sneered and walked back to her seat muttering something. Alex’s face darkened at the back of the teacher and then he threw the ruined sheet on the ground with force super singing the whole class.
Many stole a glance at him not understanding what happened to him?
“Scratch! Scribble.” Only the sound of pen and rustling of papers followed for the next half an hour.
Alex did not look back at Nora or others. He was seriously ticking his answers again.
Nora stretched her back as she ticked the last answer. She noticed what Alex ticked and her eyes flickered but without a word, she stretched her hands and then slept on the bench shocking everyone in the class.

“Hey! Do you know the importance of this exam: how can you sleep in the class?” the teacher demanded in a loud voice but her voice fell into deaf ears. Nora was already lost in her dreamland.
“Let her be! It must be her medicine.”
