The goblins armed with their crude weapons charged forward while their laughter echoed through the air.

The foul stench they carried was unbearable and ruined the trio’s appetite.

Virelle and Velcy wrinkled their noses in disgust but glanced at Ethan and was confused as to why he hadn’t drawn a weapon.

Instead, Ethan closed his eyes and channeled his soul sense into his mind space.

Within his mind, a luminous crystal purple lotus floated above the Eterna Nexus. It was the Astral Serenity Lotus.

It bathed his consciousness in shimmering purple dust, which spread in the dark space of his mind like a shining purple star river.

Over the past two years since the day it had been planted inside his head, Ethan had felt his soul growing stronger, and now he felt more reassured and confident that he would be able to execute what he wanted.

With an internal command, he shaped his invisible soul sense into a cryptic eye symbol.

As soon as it took form, it glowed silver and became visible.

A shining silver light spread outward from it until it enveloped his consciousness.

He blacked out for a fraction of a second but soon a familiar sensation washed over him.

It was the feeling of home. Snow fell gently around him, and as she looked up he could see in the distance that his family’s castle stood atop a glacial mountain.

The crystal purple structure glowed like a jewel in the frost-covered land and for a moment tranquility filled his mind as his childhood memories returned.

But knowing that it was all fake and he was swimming in a false world, he broke free from the illusion and focused on his objective.

Directing the expanding silver mist toward the approaching goblins, he unleashed his first bloodline spell—

Soul Veil Manipulation.

To the naked eye, nothing seemed to happen.

But soon the goblins froze mid-step and their yellow eyes glazed over as they fell under the spell’s influence.

Though it all happened in an instant, the girls could see the immediate effects.

The goblins began to twitch and moan as their expressions shifted from malice to confusion and then to twisted pleasure.

Some fell to the ground, writhing as if caught in a dream. Others stumbled into each other, their crude weapons clattering to the ground.

Ethan smirked as he controlled the mist, sending new commands through the silver expanse.

The Soul Veil Manipulation—the first spell of the Mind Domain born from his Devil Bloodline was working perfectly.

The goblins were trapped in an illusion of his making and their minds ensnared by his will.

The girls watched in stunned silence as the goblins began to grope and claw at each other, their actions growing increasingly erratic.

Some even began to mate as their grotesque forms twisted together in a macabre dance.

Mind you, there were no female dark goblins amongst them as they did not exist.

Some fell on top of others and their crude weapons ended up injuring their own kind, yet they remained lost in their delirium.

Their frenzied movements, the guttural moans, and the sickening wet sounds filled the clearing and turned it into a scene of utter depravity.

As for why they were doing this, Ethan had created a false world where the dark goblins believed they were indulging in their darkest desires and that was capturing and defiling beautiful women.

Seeing such naked horror, Virelle wrinkled her nose in disgust.

“What are you doing to them?” she asked as her voice was edged with an instinctive unease.

Ethan chuckled while his eyes glinted with amusement.

“Testing a new ability. I simply let them indulge in their own fantasies and depravity. Hehe…”

His eerie laughter sent shivers down the girls’ spines. Velcy’s tail flicked nervously as she stammered,

“That’s… terrifying. I didn’t know something like that was possible.”

Ethan shrugged and offered no explanation regarding the intricacies or origin of his spell for now.

“They brought it on themselves. Besides, it’s a useful tool. With this spell, I can even make them fight each other, reveal secrets, or even turn them into our temporary allies.”

Virelle shook her head, though a faint smirk tugged at her lips as immense curiosity burned in her crimson eyes.

“You are full of surprises, Brother Ethan.”

The goblins’ movements grew more frenzied and their twisted actions formed a stark contrast to the serene clearing.

Ethan watched them dispassionately.

Some of them even reached the peak of their ecstasy as their bodies convulsed in grotesque pleasure.

He, however, was more focused on calculating the potential applications of his bloodline spell.

The strain on his mind wasn’t too immense, but a dull headache began creeping in and gave a telltale sign that his soul energy was depleting.

“Let’s finish them,” he finally said as his voice turned cold.

“They have outlived their usefulness.”

Just as he was about to make the goblins turn on each other in the false world he had crafted, a deep, heavy set of footsteps echoed from the forest.

A tall dark hobgoblin emerged as its thick, muscled form towered over its smaller kin.

It stopped and was totally gobsmacked by the sight before it. Its subordinates were writhed together in a perverse and mindless orgy.

Its beady yellow eyes widened in confusion but then soon darkened with immense rage.

Ethan’s lips curved into a smirk.

“Perfect timing.”

Ethan observed the hobgoblin with interest as he quickly ensnared it within the silver soul expanse.

The silver wave of Ethan’s devious soul energy was undetectable to the naked eye of other beings as it traversed and enveloped the hobgoblin through the Astral Realm.

The Astral Realm was a totally separate ethereal plane that intertwined with the material world while existing in its separate abstract dimension.

As for the hobgoblin, it was a tougher target and its will was stronger than the lesser goblins. So, Ethan felt the weight of exertion pressing down on him.
