Chapter 211: Encounter with the Demon Adventurer Group
Third Person’s POV
… it was also about how well one wielded it.
Upon its back sat a massive platform. It was a makeshift carriage reinforced with dark wood and metallic plates.
Five humanoid figures lounged atop it and their postures exuded an air of confidence and dominance. Ethan’s gaze narrowed as he studied them closely.
Demons.
Twin horns protruded from their foreheads and their muscular frames were evident even through the light armor they wore.
Unlike humans, their muscles and bones were denser and wider, making their physiques naturally more powerful.
Their skin varied in tones, from dusky brown, tanned ones, fair ones, to deep crimson, and their thick braids hinted at their cultural significance.
Two of the demons carried massive axes strapped to their backs while another wielded a halberd and the last two brandished wide broadswords that could cleave through steel with ease.
Even from a distance, he could tell that they were seasoned warriors and were undoubtedly dangerous.
Ethan muttered under his breath as his curiosity was piqued.
“Are they what I think they are?”
Virelle who was standing beside him, nodded knowingly.
“Yes, Brother Ethan. They are adventurers of the demon race. Judging by their attire and the Elder Tusk Mammoth they travel on, I presume that they are at least a Silver Rank adventurer team.”
“The Adventurer Guild…” Ethan mused as his interest deepened.
“Is there some visible sign that indicates their rank?”
He adjusted his vision and honed in on their details. The demons were laughing raucously and were drinking heavily from large wooden barrels and tearing into roasted meat like ravenous beasts.
His gaze settled on the largest among them—a red-haired demon with a heavily braided red beard and twin short red horns on his head.
He was clad in a sleeveless, dark tunic that barely contained his bulging muscles.
A golden tag gleamed against his chest.
“That must be their leader,” Ethan concluded.
“He seems to be at the Gold Rank… then the others must be of Silver Rank.”
His observation was further confirmed by the silver tags hanging from the necks of the other demons.
While they showed deference to their leader, Ethan could detect the subtle flickers of envy in their eyes, especially when their gazes lingered on the voluptuous black-haired demon woman draped over the red-haired man’s chest.
She was undeniably beautiful as she sat on his thighs, with curves that would drive most men wild.
Her expression was one of amusement and seduction as her fingers playfully traced the demon’s chest while he shamelessly groped her huge tits.
The raw jealousy in his teammates’ eyes was almost comical.
Ethan nearly laughed aloud at the absurdity of it all.
The red-haired demon was clearly aware of their resentment and seemed to bask in their envy as he fed on their frustration to boost his own sense of superiority.
Virelle scoffed and folded her arms beneath her chest which inadvertently pushed her own full breasts into prominence.

“Typical,” she muttered disdainfully.
But Ethan’s focus wasn’t on the theatrics and his attention remained locked on their weapons, their demeanor, and most importantly, the Elder Tusk Mammoth.
He was assessing their true strength.
As if sensing their scrutiny, the rowdy group gradually turned their attention toward the black carriage.
Their amusement faded and was replaced by mild curiosity until their eyes met the Blood Slave.
Instantly, their expressions twisted with unease.
The Blood Slave who was sitting rigidly at the front suddenly lifted its gaze ever so slightly.
Even without emitting any discernible aura, the feeble red rays peeking through its withered eyelids sent an involuntary shiver down the spines of the adventurers.
A palpable silence hung in the air.
Beads of sweat formed on their temples as an unknown fear gripped them.
The red-haired leader forced an awkward smile before reaching for a small lever at his side. With a hard yank, he signaled the mammoth forward.
The massive beast trumpeted loudly in protest before breaking into a hurried run as it carried its passengers far away from the carriage.
Ethan smirked. “As expected.”
Velcy suddenly chuckled.
“Cowards.”
“No, they are smart and have battled enough to recognize the true danger to their life.”
Ethan commented on hearing Velcy’s immature assessment.
Watching the fading silhouette of the adventurers, Ethan turned to her with a question lingering on his mind.
“Virelle, could you briefly explain to me the ranking system of the Adventurer Guild?”
She nodded and took a deep breath before beginning her explanation.
“The Adventurer Guild is one of the most powerful organizations in the world. It operates independently, with branches in nearly every major or minor city across all three continents.
No single empire, kingdom, or family controls it. Instead, it is a truly decentralized organization that is governed by a council of elite adventurers.”
Ethan raised an eyebrow.
“A council?”
“Yes. The Adamantium Rank Adventurers’ Board. It consists of the strongest adventurers in this world, all of whom are at the peak of power.
They ensure that the guild remains neutral in political affairs while maintaining order among its members.”
She continued,
“Humans, demons, and elves make up the majority in them, but there are also vampires, werewolves, dragons, druids, and even specters among them.
Any race with an adventurer powerful enough to reach the Heaven Connection Realm earns a seat at the table.”
Ethan’s eyes glowed with realization.
“Wait… then that means—”
Virelle smirked.
“Yes. Every Adamantium Rank adventurer on the board is a Heaven Connection being. They represent their respective races and ensure that their interests are protected.
Those races without a Heaven Connection powerhouse? They are simply ignored.”
A profound silence filled the carriage as Ethan processed the information.
The Adventurer Guild was more than just a haven for mercenaries and warriors but it seemed to be a governing force that shaped the balance of power across the world.
A flicker of amusement crossed his face.
“So, my master should also be one of them,” he mused, glancing at Virelle.
