Rise of the Lustful Evil Monarch (Re) - Chapter 304
Chapter 304: Execution (2)
Third Person’s POV
But it wasn’t a smile of joy.
Instead, it was cruel and mocking.
The smile of a predator watching its prey realize that it had never stood a chance.
The dark spell had ended, but the terror it left behind still clung to Declan’s soul like tar.
He wanted to roar, to curse, to fight with everything he had but his voice had gone hollow.
A flicker of furious regret burned in his dying eyes.
He hadn’t even gotten to fight.
He hadn’t even revealed his full strength.
And now, the enemy he had belittled, the one he deemed unworthy in their first meeting, now stood victorious and was smiling at his downfall as if laughing at his fate.
The snake hesitated for a heartbeat and confusion flickered in its slit pupils as it sensed the sudden stillness of its prey but the hesitation vanished instantly, and its jaws clamped shut with renewed fury.
Ethan’s eyes were sharp with killing intent, and he didn’t wait.
He propelled himself upward with a burst of strength, and his body blurred as he raised his saber high and brought it down with every ounce of power surging through his limbs.
The blade bit deep and cleaved through serpentine flesh where the writhing demon was still trapped within.
Declan’s shriek tore through the air and was laced with utter horror and the agony of regret.
Cold steel and fang met his flesh in a gruesome duet, and he was shredded amidst a spray of black venom and red gore.
His last expression twisted into a broken mask of disbelief and was swallowed by blood and the crunch of bone.
The massive snake thrashed wildly and its eyes bulged in stunned fury but Ethan didn’t relent.
His saber which was lodged deep between the beast’s vertebrae, had locked its momentum.
With a primal roar, he twisted in midair and flipped his body.
He came down hard and kicked the flat edge of the blade downward with crushing force.
CRACK!
The serpent’s neck snapped under the pressure.
The blade carved clean through its spine, and with it, Declan’s mutilated remains were ripped apart, and his bones cracked like twigs beneath a storm.
The snake’s severed head and coiling body spasmed as they dropped from the sky in tandem and crashed toward the lake with violent and bone-jarring tremors.
Waves erupted on impact and rose like a watery funeral pyre for the fallen beast.
But Ethan didn’t waste a breath after slaying two of his hated enemies.
The snake, which had dared to attack his little Velcy and that demon Decla,n who had dared to fantasize about Virelle.
Wrenching his saber free from the thrashing corpse, he vaulted forward and used the blade like a springboard.
His figure cut through the air like a black comet and shot straight toward the demon prince Aram, who had been rolling across the ground and mud while bracing from the earlier fall from the snake’s back.

But just as Ethan neared within five metres, the prince looked up and grinned.
A savage anf bloodthirsty smile twisted across his face as he planted his feet and leveled his red-tipped spear.
He muttered unintelligible syllables and suddenly five fireballs erupted from the weapon’s tip in rapid succession.
They looked like miniature suns, the size of a muskmelon, as blazing heat curled around them in coiling spirals.
The ambush at such close range caught even Ethan slightly off guard.
His DarkStorm wings flared in a violent snap as he flipped sideways in the air and dodged the first fireball by a hair’s breadth as it streaked past his chest and seared a line across his shirt.
Twisting mid-flight, he swung his chained arm and with a thunderous crack, he punched the second fireball heading straight for his skull.
It exploded in a burst of blinding light and heat, but Ethan emerged unscathed due to a chilling mist that flared outward from his skin simultaneously like an ethereal icy barrier that absorbed the blaze and phased through it like ghostly frost.
The sheer contrast of elements lit the air in a dazzling but deadly display.
Without wasting a second, an ice pike materialized in his other hand.
But instead of hurling it at the prince, Ethan’s gaze flicked sideways.
With his soul sense, he had pinpointed a lackey desperately attempting to slip away through the chaos just an instant earlier.
And with a flick of his wrist, he turned sharply and launched the pike with the force of a cannon.
The air screamed as it tore toward its mark.
The fleeing demon barely had time to register the incoming threat as the spike rammed through his chest with brutal precision and slammed directly into his heart.
He gasped and staggered with his eyes wide in disbelief. He clutched at the wound, but it was too late.
A layer of frost spread from the puncture point and encased his heart and lungs in crystal.
One heartbeat later, it shattered into powdered ice.
He dropped without a sound with his body limp and face frozen in a silent scream.
Just moments ago, he had dreamed of bounty and glory, but now, he was nothing more than another corpse on the battlefield.
His greed had clouded his judgment and in war, there was no antidote for stupidity.
After throwing the icy projectile, Ethan didn’t even look back.
But the demon prince did.
His red eyes ignited with fury and veins bulged on his temples as he realized that Ethan hadn’t even deemed him worthy of attention.
“YOU—!!” he roared.
But before he could charge, the world darkened for Ethan.
A black blur sliced through the air like a thunderclap and descended from above with terrifying speed.
The demon knight had returned.
A jagged arc of black lightning tore through the sky and slammed into Ethan’s head with unrelenting force.
Ethan had been on guard, and his instincts had remained sharp after losing track of the knight, but even then, the attack hit like a divine hammer.
