Chapter 100: _Struggle For Survival
(Warning: Disturbing scene ahead)
“Oh, and let’s not forget when I manipulated and killed your dear friend, Miranda. Just like I’m about to do with you.”
Brittany froze after I whispered that into her ear.
I withdrew my mouth from her ear to see her reaction, a cold smirk curling up my lips.
She did not disappoint.
Her cheery smile turned into a frown, her eyes quivering with fear as she shook her head repeatedly in disbelief.
“Y– You’re just joking.” She chuckled dryly, taking a few steps back. “Y– You didn’t kill Miranda. You couldn’t have. You’re… You’re too–”
“Kind?” I asked, playing with my fingers while letting out a sigh. “Yeah, it’s been a hassle keeping the ‘nice Beta’ facade, to be honest. But don’t be deceived, love.”
She blinked rapidly, her eyes searching the garden for an exit.
Unfortunately for her, there was no escaping this.
I got to her within a second, grabbing her by the neck and lifting her off the ground.
She gasped for breath, clutching her hands around my wrist tightly as she struggled to escape.
But it was futile.
“Miranda had a similar expression when I drove my hand through her chest,” I remarked, drawing in a deep breath as I recalled the fond memory. “I can’t imagine how grueling it must be for someone to struggle for something so basic as getting air into their lungs.”
Brittany’s eyes still shone with disbelief, her mouth opening and closing as she tried to catch her breath.
Eventually, I got bored and flung her forward, watching as she landed several meters away close to the pond at the side.
I smirked, walking toward her calmly like a predator confident in catching its prey.
Brittany managed to sit up on the grass, turning her gaze to me as her chest rose and fell with each breath she took.
“P– Please. Please, Beta Negan, you can’t do this to me.” She begged, her eyes glimmering with tears.
I paused, placing my hand on my chest. “Aww, darling. Don’t worry, I’m not going to kill you.” I blurted.
Her face lit up with a smile as she crawled pathetically on the ground and bowed her head. “T– Thank you, Beta… Beta Negan. M– My life is yours and I promise to–”
“Yet,” I stated casually. “I’m not going to kill you yet.”
Once again, despair fell on the poor girl’s face as she began to shed tears, fiddling with her fingers while fixing her gaze on me.
It was as if she was scared that if she looked away or blinked for one second, I’d kill her in an instant.
I mean… Yeah, I could easily do that if I wanted. But I had one last use for her.
“Before you die, you’re going to make a little videotape,” I announced, stretching out my hand to her as I got closer. “Your phone, please.”
She hesitated, her face deforming with dread. “V– Videotape?”
It didn’t take me long to understand her fears. I couldn’t help myself from laughing, placing my hands on my stomach while wheezing to catch my breath.
“Oh, dearie me.” I chuckled, placing a hand in front of my mouth. “I don’t mean THAT type of videotape. I’m not about to put myself in another scandal, love. Yikes, and they say I’m the one with the dirty mind.”
Brittany’s face reddened with an embarrassed blush as she tried looking away.

But I had grown impatient and finally got in front of her, placing my hand on her cheeks and forcing her to look up at me.
“The phone. Don’t let me ask twice.” My voice became a little more husky now as I stretched out my other hand forward again.
Brittany gazed at my outstretched hand one last time before reluctantly bringing out her phone from a pocket in her dress.
This should be fun.
.
.
By the time I was done with making the video I desired with Brittany’s phone, I smiled satisfactorily, watching it again.
Meanwhile, Brittany shivered with trepidation, refusing to look me in the eyes as she sobbed uncontrollably.
I glanced at her, sighing to myself. “Oh, relax, you did the right thing. Now your death wouldn’t be as meaningless once I post this on all your social media handles.”
I went to work and posted the video on all her social media, taking my gaze away from her.
However, I heard a noise that caused me to turn my gaze back to her just in time to see her running away.
“Shit…” I muttered, stretching out my right hand and clenching it into a fist.
“H–” Brittany was about to scream for help but before it could get out of her mouth, a telekinetic force projected with my magic held her in place and stopped her from speaking.
I twisted my wrist, causing her to float back to me.
“Nice try. You almost had me fooled there.” I smirked, releasing her from my telekinetic hold when she was a meter in front of me.
She dropped to the ground, groaning in pain.
“P– Please, my Beta. Have mercy on me.” She pleaded, sobbing and trying to look at me. “I– I’ve loved you for years, my Beta. I’ve watched you from the sidelines and admired your charisma. You’re an inspiration and all I’ve wanted is to be yours.”
Ugh, was the sob story necessary?
I rolled my eyes, placing my hand into my back pocket and bringing out a pen and paper.
“You’re wasting my time, love. And unfortunately, while I would love to see what punishment the Alpha Council gives you, I can’t afford Elder Gita noticing me using magic on you or you ratting me out.” I shrugged, patting her shoulder.
She still shook in fear, tears rolling frantically down her eyes as she took the pen and paper with shaky hands.
“Now, write a suicide note explaining how pathetic you are and how you reject your actions,” I instructed calmly.
A few annoying sobs later and she was done, handing the letter to me.
I grabbed it and read through it, nodding my head with satisfaction.
“I’ll make sure to drop this somewhere anyone can notice. The Alpha and his Council should be after you after seeing that video of you.” I remarked, placing the letter into my pant pockets.
Without another word, I grabbed her by the neck and dragged her to a nearby tree.
She resorted to hitting me and even brought out her claws in a last effort of self-defense, but my grip on her neck was too strong.
I threw her to the tree, smirking when her head hit the bark.
She was dazed, her eyes blinking rapidly as she struggled to keep her focus on my approaching figure.
I spotted a garden hose nearby and picked it up, straightening it with my hands.
“Please.” She whispered weakly, gritting her teeth probably due to the pain of hitting her head on the bark.
But I ignored her, dragging her forward and tying her neck. She struggled and tried screaming but I placed my hand on her mouth, shushing her.
The only sound that could be heard apart from the night insects was the squirming and muffled screams of the girl as she struggled for her life.
But eventually, that same life was snuffed out of her, leaving the night peaceful again.
