Rise of the Rejected Luna - Chapter 110
Chapter 110: _Case Solved
Silence fell in the garden as all eyes landed on Delta Asher, who continued laughing cynically.
If there was any doubt of him being a psychopath before, they had definitely dissipated now.
The dude was straight-up insane!
Soon enough, he stopped laughing, dabbing off tears from his eyes. “Why are you all looking at me like that?” he scoffed, looking away from us. “Any child with a functioning brain will easily be able to tell that there’s foul play involved in this girl’s death.”
Huh?
Before I could say something snarky, Beta Negan spoke up. “Aren’t you the one who stated that it’s ‘obvious’ that she committed suicide, Delta Asher? What’s with the change of heart after this piece of written evidence?”
Once again, all eyes fell on the Delta who blinked awkwardly at the Beta.
“Well… well, it’s obvious now that someone did something to this poor girl and forced her to admit all that bullshit.” He finally uttered, pointing at Brittany’s body once again.
Seeing the way her body just dangled up there as we argued over whether her letter was correct or not made me feel weird.
Her eyes were closed shut, her pale face seeming rather peaceful. As if she’d found some kind of peace in death.
Suddenly, Gamma Thane brought out his phone, a frown soon showing on his face. “A video is trending on social media.”
A video?
I glanced at Negan and it was obvious then that we were both thinking about the same thing.
Dear moon goddess, please don’t tell me it’s–
“This Brittany girl is in the video talking more extensively about what she wrote in the letter.” The Gamma added and increased the volume of his phone so we could all hear.
In the video, Brittany was sweating profusely, tears streaming down her face as she stared directly at the camera.
Seeing her in such a state caused my heart to drop as I instantly began feeling pity for her.
She looked like she had a lot going on in her mind and like she had reached a breaking point.
How did I not notice that during the times she worked for me?
“I am posting this video so it can reach every online forum with werewolves from our Blue Moon pack.” She sniffled, her voice quivering.
My brows snapped into a frown just then.
Hold up… was that fear in her voice?
“Why the heck does she look and sound like she has a gun pointed at her head?” The Lycan asked the same things going through my head as we stared at the video expectantly.
But soon, Delta Asher added with a scoff, glancing at Negan and me. “I wonder why.”
Was this bastard trying to insinuate that Negan and I had anything to do with Brittany’s death?
I clenched my fists and was about to lash out at him again.
However, Negan held my wrist without anyone noticing, subtly shaking his head.
That action alone was enough to calm me as I placed my focus back on the video.
“I didn’t mean to hurt anyone.” Britany sniffled, using the back of her free hand to wipe off the snort from her face. “I’m just… I’m just so in love with the Beta and wanted a way to get his attention. When I heard the rumors going around about him and the Luna, I decided to make that video and spread the information to the whole pack through a few gossips here and there.”
She had nothing but guilt and regret in her voice, which had begun cracking at this point in the video.

I couldn’t take it anymore and looked away, muttering. “That’s enough. Please, turn it off.”
Luckily, Gamma Thane didn’t show any hesitation and turned off the video, placing his phone back into his pocket.
“So, all the recent drama in this pack was caused by this one girl?” The Lycan glanced at Brittany with disbelief on his face.
The Gamma sighed, nodding his head. “It seems so. I wouldn’t blame her… love is capable of making anyone do the craziest things.”
Why did I feel like that sentence was speaking to me?
I remembered Kaene just then, wondering how he was doing right now.
Meanwhile, Delta Asher yawned, scratching the back of his head. “Well, case solved. I’ll call some guards to take her body to a morgue or something.”
He waved dismissively and turned his back on us, not even bothering to glance back again.
Traitorous bastard!
“I knew there was something wrong with that video from the start, Luna.” The Lycan suddenly placed his hand on my shoulder, a smile curling up his lips.
He’s got to be kidding me.
If anything, Lycan Davos was one of the elites alongside the Delta who judged me the most after the video leak.
But I managed to smile at him awkwardly, nodding my head in a forced show of gratitude and acknowledgment until he left.
Negan and I soon followed, leaving Gamma Thane behind to inspect the body one last time and bring it down from that tree.
“How’re you feeling?” Negan glanced at me as he walked me back to the mansion.
I sighed, stretching my arms. “I feel like a century of sleep wouldn’t be enough for me at this point,” I remarked.
Beta Negan chuckled, managing to get a wry smile from me.
However, there was nothing funny about this situation.
“I still feel like something isn’t adding up and the Delta killed Brittany and made it seem like suicide,” I muttered.
Negan glanced at me before he sighed, shaking his head. “And I think you should get some sleep. Get Delta Asher off your head and start preparing yourself for whatever challenges that might be coming next.” He said.
Prepare my mind for more challenges?
There was more?
I shuddered at the thought as Negan finally brought me to the mansion and snuck me to my window, helping me climb into my suite.
“Good night, Phoebe,” he whispered, winking at me before he jumped down and disappeared into the night.
I stared outside, my heart tensed up as I thought about what he said.
Could there really be more threats after this? Would our pack even be able to survive them?
