Rise of the Rejected Luna - Chapter 111
Chapter 111: _She’s A Distraction

After I’d killed Brittany, I hung her on a tree in the garden to make it seem like she killed herself.
However, when I went back to my private residence… I couldn’t sleep.
And it wasn’t because I was disturbed by what I did. Nah, that was simply a normal Tuesday.
I couldn’t sleep because, for some reason, my mind kept going back to one person.
Phoebe.
“Rowland?” I called out for my assistant when I couldn’t take it anymore and decided to come downstairs to have a drink.
The living room was dark, but I was able to see thanks to my advanced wolf sight and headed to the in-built bar at a corner.
However, I paused when I heard moans of pleasure coming from that direction.
My brows furrowed into a frown as I called for the moron again. “Rowland?!”
Suddenly, I heard some bottles clanging at the bar, and a few seconds later, Rowland popped his head from the back alongside a female partner.
I tilted my head, arching an inquisitive eyebrow.
“What? Can’t a man have some fun?” Rowland asked with a roll of his eyes, grinning mischievously as he planted kisses on the girl’s neck.
He was shirtless and so was the girl who had black hair that flowed to her waist and had breasts that Rowland squeezed as he kissed her.
I grew annoyed and yelled. “Couldn’t you at least get a room to have your fun with this…”
I trailed off, sniffing into the air.
“G– Good evening, Beta.” The girl stuttered shyly, twirling her hair with her fingers.
Huh… The girl was a she-wolf.
Well, that makes sense. It would’ve been problematic to bring a human into the estate.
Rowland finally let go of the girl and turned his gaze to me. “Jeez, if you want to join in, come here. There’s room for a third.”
How enticing…
I stared at the pair for a bit before shaking my head and turning my back to them.
Suddenly, Rowland sniggered. “I guess you now only have sights for that rejected Luna. At least, she’s back now after that accident.”
Accident?
My brows snapped into a frown as I turned my gaze back to Rowland. “What ‘accident’?”
He hesitated at first, glancing at his companion, who was too busy tracing a line around his chest.
However, when I glared at him, my fingers already cracking with magic, Rowland sighed and placed his hand on the girl’s shoulder.
“Go wait for me upstairs. Daddy has some important things to discuss.” He gave her a wink, spanking her ass when she began walking away.
I watched her leave, noticing the sensual way she moved her hips. It seems Rowland got himself a wild one.

“Since when do you mess around with your meal?” I couldn’t help myself from asking, a sly smirk on my face.
Rowland’s half-werewolf and half-vampire physiology allowed him to feast on the blood and flesh of a pure-blood werewolf.
He usually didn’t play around with werewolves… For good reasons.
Anyway, Rowland’s grin deepened. “Oh, I’ll be having a little snack once I’m done with her. And by ‘snack’ I mean I’ll be draining her of–”
“I get it, Rowland.” I interrupted, quickly losing interest. “You were talking about Phoebe. What happened to her? What sort of accident did she have?”
To my annoyance, he walked up to me and poked me on my nose. “Gosh, you’re such a lover boy. Look at you getting all riled up because of that rejected Luna.” He teased me.
Riled up?
I scoffed, looking away from him. “You must be delusional. I’m not riled up about anything. I just simply want to know the recent happenings in the pack. I’ve been too occupied with Brittany to notice.”
Rowland kept his gaze on me for a bit before he shrugged. “Oh well. She got hit by a car last night, apparently. But I decided not to say anything because you…”
He paused, squinting his eyes as he scrutinized my face. My expression remained stoic as I waited for him to finish.
Finally, he muttered. “Well, because of what you’re doing right now.”
I knew this conversation was a waste of time.
“You’re speaking in riddles, Rowland. Go back to your prostitute and leave me alone.” I stated, walking to the bar and grabbing a drink.
I poured myself a glass but then decided to mix it up a bit and make myself a cocktail. I deserved something sweet after a job well done with Brittany.
“Oh, come on, you know exactly what I’m talking about, Negan.” Rowland’s steps were almost silent as he leaned against the bar’s counter. “Even the Elders of the brotherhood have noticed. You’re getting distracted and it’s all thanks to that… Rejected Luna.”
I didn’t quite understand why, but hearing him call her ‘rejected Luna’ over and over was scratching the back of my head in a not-so-good way.
Luckily, I was done with making my drink and gulped down a glass, choosing to ignore Rowland while drumming my fingers on the counter.
If Phoebe was around then I could use this to my advantage to create more chaos. If she found Brittany’s body first, that would create doubt in her mind.
She already had the Delta as a suspect and might not be quick to believe Brittany just casually killed herself mere days after Miranda was ‘mysteriously’ slaughtered.
I smirked at the simple yet effective plan, pouring myself another glass and taking a sip.
“Oh, no…” Rowland muttered from behind me all of a sudden, forcing me to glance at him.
“That smirk.” He pointed at my face while shaking his head. “What diabolical plan are you cooking up now?”
My smirk widened as I gulped down the rest of the drink before stepping away from the counter. “Why, I’m going to see Phoebe. I’m sure she’ll be stunned to see yet another of her maids mysteriously dying.”
However, Rowland clicked his tongue and sighed. “You can’t be serious right now.”
