Rise of the Rejected Luna - Chapter 127
Chapter 127: _Sweet, Sweet, Chaos
Once I got out of the event hall, I decided to keep an eye out for Elsa.
She shouldn’t have gone far, especially if she was the one sent to give Kaene the finishing blow.
I didn’t exactly have any reason for wanting to hunt her down… Other than the fact that she’s been an eyesore for a long time.
“Ahhh…” I sighed when I got to the window of Kaene’s suite.
There he was, lying on the floor lifeless and surrounded by a pool of his own blood.
It would be outrageous to think he could be taken out by someone as puny as Elsa, but once Wolfsbane was brought into the picture… His death was sealed in stone.
Well, that’s if the moron had done a good job trying to kill him.
My eyes dimmed when I saw Phoebe beside his body, sobbing with shaky hands as she stared at her fallen mate.
The silver dagger stuck to his chest was a nice touch.
“Sorry, honey. I guess you’ll have to find a way to cope without your mate.” I muttered with a smirk before jumping back to the ground.
I landed softly, my eyes already picking up a scent I’d gotten from the suite.
The suite was filled with the scent of blood— one from Kaene and the other from Elsa.
Meaning the moron was out there, probably wounded by silver.
“How does one get injured by a wolfsbane-weakened Alpha?” I asked myself as I walked through the estate, tracking Elsa by the scent of her blood.
If Kaene managed to land a blow on her even in his weakened state, that said a lot of his strength.
Getting rid of him by myself would’ve been a hassle.
Anyway, I drew out my phone, dialing Rowland’s number.
“What did you do?” He asked as soon as he picked up the call.
I ignored him, going straight to the point while still using my handkerchief to wipe the blood that was still stuck to my face. “We’re going for a little hunting. Alpha Kaene was brought down… It’ll be a miracle if he survives, talk less of recovering.” I explained calmly.
Rowland sounded excited. “Really? I didn’t think those idiots would have it in them. That’s great, now all we have to do is–”
“Let’s focus on what I’m saying, Rowland.” I sighed, rubbing my forehead. “We need to hunt down the people involved in this. I’ve taken down Delta Asher and Kaene’s assistant, so–”
It was Rowland’s turn to interrupt me. “You did what? N– Negan, what for? If we let them live longer, they could bring the pack into chaos a little more and make our job of taking over it easier.”
Yeah, that was a good point.
But I was growing increasingly bored, not to mention I was still a bit pissed that they planned on killing Phoebe with Wolfsbane.
“We don’t have time for all that, Rowland,” I stated calmly, getting to the front of my residence and stepping in. “You know the Elders of the brotherhood are still on my neck over this mission. Not to mention, Elsa and her father both need to be deleted.”
Before he could speak again, I hung up and yelled out instead. “Rowland, get your ass here let’s go!”
Soon enough, he walked out of the house with dimmed eyes. “Oh well, at least I’ll get to eat them once we kill them.”
He fluttered his eyes, trying to do the equivalent of puppy eyes.
I glanced at him briefly before shrugging. “Whatever. We need to make it seem like they just disappeared without a trace.”
“Can you imagine the terror that’ll spread among the werewolf masses of the world when one of the most influential men like Mr. Thatcher mysteriously vanishes?” Rowland mused with a wicked grin on his face.

I also grinned as we hopped into one of my cars, and I took the driver’s seat. “Yup… Sweet, sweet, chaos…”
.
.
We ended up tracking the scent of Elsa’s blood to a private manor in a secluded section of the city.
The place was serene at this time of the night, the building itself surrounded by a vast expanse of land that was filled with nothing but acres of greenery and hills.
“Damn, they’re rich,” Rowland muttered when we got out of the car and managed to slip into the Thatcher family’s land.
Meanwhile, I scanned my gaze around the place, searching for any guards.
Soon enough, I spotted a lot of them, scattered at different spots around the manor.
“It seems daddy dearest increased security after his wounded daughter came running home.” I scoffed before turning my gaze to Rowland. “Remember, we have to be as discreet as possible in killing them. You go for Mr. Thatcher and I’ll go for Elsa. If the guards or other staff find out about this, we’ll have to kill them and you know that’ll be a hassle.”
Rowland rolled his eyes, stepping out of his hiding. “Alrighty, boss. I know the drill, this isn’t my first rodeo.”
Without another word from the two of us, we ran straight to the manor, maneuvering our way through the vast field and the guards that dotted it.
We scaled the walls and got into the manor through one of the room windows.
“Looks like we’re in luck. Elsa’s scent is close and if she is, so is her father.” I whispered, scanning my gaze around the brightly lit room.
As if my words were a signal, we soon began hearing some bickering from outside which eventually became coherent after we focused more.
“Dad, maybe it was a bad idea.” The voice belonged to none other than Elsa who seemed like she was fighting for her life with her heavy breathing and shaky voice.
Anyway, after a few seconds of pause, she continued. “I… I killed him. I actually killed him. What if… What if they aren’t able to kill Phoebe and she–”
“Oh, be quiet, girl!” Mr. Thatcher bellowed, causing a smirk to curl up my lips.
They’re all here.
