Phoebe’s face reddened with a blush when my fingers trailed her chin, my lips curling into a smirk as I drew closer to her.

“Uhh, what are you doing?” She asked with a flustered expression, her eyes darting around as if there was someone hidden watching us in the suite. “You still haven’t eaten this morning and I–”

“Oh, I have strength in abundance, Mi Esposa Caliente. As long as you’re right here with me, anyway.” I teased, my hands going to her lap.

She flinched at first, her lips parting with surprise. A soft gasp escaped her mouth but she covered it, her face reddening further.

“Why are you acting so shy?” I asked, tilting my head with a questioning look. “You think I wouldn’t be able to–”

“You’re just recovering, Kaene.” Phoebe blurted all of a sudden, shifting away from me while trying to catch her breath. “I– I don’t want you to hurt yourself. The fact that you were poisoned by a crazy amount of wolfsbane AND silver and yet you’re still alive is a miracle. I don’t want you to complicate your situation further.”

Oh… Well, how do I respond to THAT?

I paused, withdrawing my hand slightly from her face.

I found her concern heartwarming, but I couldn’t ignore the need from my wolf to have her in every way possible.

I missed the feeling of driving my length into her. I missed the feeling of having her underneath me, of taming her feistiness while having her begging for more.

“I understand your concern, Phoebe,” I muttered, using my fingers to caress her face as tenderly as possible.

This time, she didn’t flinch but closed her eyes, feeling the warmth of my hand on her face and even wrapping her hands around mine.

Time seemed to freeze at that moment, our gazes locking in an intense passion that made me wish to kiss her.

I felt like kissing her would be the elixir I needed to cure whatever might be wrong with my system.

“Our mate bond allows us to heal faster as long as we’re close, Mi esposa Caliente,” I mumbled, grabbing her hand and placing it on my chest.

I allowed her fingers to explore the contours of my chest, while still keeping my gaze fixed on her.

“Whatever we’re about to do wouldn’t hurt me. On the contrary, it just might help me in healing faster.” I tried to sound humorous, hoping to get at least a giggle from her.

Luckily, she did just that, looking away from me while placing her hand on her mouth, her laughter echoing around the suite.

Her laughter was like hearing an angel sing. It might sound disharmonious to some but to me, it was the most beautiful sound in the universe.

After letting her laugh to her satisfaction, I placed my hand on her face again, parting her hair aside, giving me a better view of her gorgeous face.

She stared into my eyes, her succulent lips parted, seemingly inviting me to explore.

Well, don’t mind if I do.

Leaning in closer, I grabbed the back of her head, pulling her closer to me.

Soon enough, our lips met in an explosive kiss that ignited something that I thought was dead ever since I discovered the affair with Negan.

All that was now buried inside me.

It all belonged in the past and all I could think about now was the breathtaking beauty in front of me.

Gosh, my mate was gorgeous!

I couldn’t hold myself back anymore and pulled out of the kiss, my chest rising and falling as my eyes explored every inch of her face and then her body.

“You’re beyond what mere words can describe, Mi Esposa Caliente,” I muttered, caressing her cheeks and slowly trailing my hand to her shoulder.

I squeezed her shoulder slightly with my right hand, watching her face redden once again with a blush.

I didn’t let her expression stop me from stating what I had in mind. “You’re a work of art, one not made by mere mortal hands but by the gods themselves. If I could spend every second of the rest of my life admiring your beauty I’ll still have a thousand words to say.”

Her eyelids fluttered as she gawked at me, seemingly speechless.

Honestly, I didn’t know where all that came from. I never knew I could get so passionate, especially with words.

I’ve never been much of a talker anyway.

Finally, Phoebe chuckled, looking away from me before she turned her gaze back to me. “You flatter me too much, my Alpha. I’ve become speechless for once.” She remarked.

My lips curled into a grin as I brought my hands to her face again, cupping it.

We didn’t say anything again. There were no words needed for what we mutually felt right now.

I took the lead, drawing Phoebe closer to me and engulfing her lips in a kiss that took both our breaths away.

But I didn’t end there, slowly bringing my hands to her body and trailing my hands down her waist until I got to her thighs.

I used my fingers to caress her thighs, exploring and just enjoying the feeling.

Phoebe seemed to be getting riled up as well, bringing her hands to my trousers before trailing her fingers around my lap and then finally to my rock-hard dick.
