Rise of the Rejected Luna - Chapter 136
Chapter 136: _Out Of A Fairytale

The past three days feel like it’s been right out of a fairy tale.
Elsa and her bitchy ass were missing and so was her father.
Also, ever since I saved Kaene’s life and the revelation of how our mate bond made us heal faster was brought to light, Catherine has been… Nicer.
It was weird to imagine but she no longer made it her life’s mission to make my life hell. She also stopped the sarcastic remarks and responded to my greetings whenever we came across each other like a normal person.
She was warming up to me and the peace was satisfying but not as satisfying as my moments with Kaene.
After we met with the Alpha Council on the third day since Elsa tried to kill him, we had one of the best sex ever.
Sure, we’ve done wilder and more exciting things in the past but THIS? Him letting me take control?
It was refreshingly new.
I reminisced all these moments while taking a bath in his suite, my face heating up with a blush.
After our sensual moment, we had a bath together before he rushed downstairs to see what the maids had prepared for breakfast.
“Is this really happening?” I asked myself, placing my hand on my chest and leaning against the wall.
The best part of all of this was probably him telling me ‘I love you’ for the first time on the night of Elsa’s attack.
My stomach still danced with butterflies anytime I remembered that.
Smiling to myself, I turned off the shower, grabbed a towel, and dried my hair and body before wrapping another towel around my body.
I proceeded to step out of the bathroom, humming a tone from my childhood as I made my way to the bed.
However, a knock soon came on the door, forcing me to turn my head there.
“Who is it? Come in!” I blurted, scanning my gaze around the suite.
Ugh, right… This was HIS suite. He didn’t have any of my hair or skin care products.
Anyway, the door swung open and to my surprise, my brother Caleb walked in.
My family was still staying around, surprisingly, after Catherine herself insisted.
They wanted to stay behind anyway, especially after their daughter and her mate were almost killed.
Heck, they would’ve been killed as well now that I thought about it.
“Caleb, what’re you doing here? This is the Alpha’s suite.” I remarked with a sigh, grabbing one of Kaene’s colognes and sniffing it.
I sighed satisfactorily, enjoying the scent and imagining he was right there in front of me, fondling my face and telling me words of endearment.
However, before I could fall deeper into my fantasies, Caleb coughed awkwardly, bringing my attention back to reality.
A mischievous smirk curled up his lips before he spoke. “Well, I’m sure our dear Alpha wouldn’t mind, big sis. If you ask me, the only person who might have a problem with me snooping around her mate’s suite is you.”
My face heated up with a blush as I decided that I wanted to scent like Kaene today and sprayed some of his cologne on my neck.

“Caleb, stop being ridiculous. Kaene and I have been… Having our moments these past three days. Getting closer and all.” I muttered, trailing off a bit when I stared at Kaene’s full-size mirror.
My fingers subconsciously went to the mark he made on my neck several nights ago, caressing it fondly.
It seemed to send a tingle around my body at my touch, making me feel like no matter where I was, I’d always have a part of Kaene with me.
Gosh, I was falling hard!
“Right…” Caleb muttered just then, folding his arms in front of his chest. “You’re literally spraying his cologne on your body for whatever creepy reason you might have. But oh well, I–”
Before he could go any further, I grabbed a hairbrush nearby and flung it at him.
He yelped, managing to use his arms to block his face, but the hairbrush still hit him.
“Jerk!” I snapped, rolling my eyes as he giggled like a little kid.
Seeing my brother laughing filled me with even more warmth, causing me to laugh as well.
After several seconds of us laughing, he finally sighed, raising his hands in defeat. “Fine. Forgive my intrusion in your love life, big sis.”
I smiled, teasing the little runt by giving him a curt bow. “Thank you.”
Gosh, I missed our little banters. It reminded me of our childhood, except now fate seemed to be smiling brightly on us.
“Anyway, breakfast is ready and the Alpha asks for your presence,” Caleb announced, pointing at the door. “Also, Mom and Dad and Her Royal Highness, former Luna Catherine, will be there.”
I placed my hand on my mouth, giggling again before walking up to Caleb.
He flinched, probably thinking that I was going to hit him but all I did was place my hands on his shoulders before shoving him toward the door.
“If the former Luna hears the interesting title you’ve given her, I wouldn’t step in to stop her from sending you to the dungeons this time,” I warned jokingly after I successfully got him outside.
He grinned, giving me a wink. “You’re my sister. I know you’ll always have my back.” He responded.
Now that was the truth. We’ll always have each other’s backs, no matter how bad it gets.
That’s how it’s always been and hopefully, that’s how it will always be.
Without another word, I shut the door behind me, shaking my head.
However, when I brought my gaze back to the suite, I sighed.
Kaene’s stuff just wouldn’t do.
I shrugged, opened the door again, and stepped out of the suite, hoping to head to my suite without attracting much attention.
Finally, I got to the door of my suite after navigating the hallway and answering the greetings of a few maids, sighing to myself when I opened the door and shut it while facing my back to my suite.
Just when I swerved my gaze around, however, I gasped when I saw the person standing close to my window.
