Rise of the Rejected Luna - Chapter 67
Chapter 67: _People Are Talking
As expected, Phoebe and Kaene gave me quite the show without knowing that I was peeping from the windows.
Kaene brought his ‘A’ game, playing it rough while Phoebe took it like a good little Luna.
“Hehe… That was a show.” I muttered to myself when they both reached orgasm and were now lying on the bed.
Just then, Phoebe got up from the bed and stretched like a cat.
My eyes trailed her body, from her long hair that touched her waist to her boobs that seemed to jiggle with every movement she made, and then her long legs.
Phoebe was gorgeous, I wasn’t going to lie.
And watching the both of them in action had caused a certain little soldier of mine down below to awaken a bit.
“Not now…” I spoke to myself, trying to control my urges.
It seems there was nothing of much importance for me to see here.
I was about to get out of the window when Kaene suddenly spoke up with an awkward cough.
“So, how did your meeting with Negan go anyway?” He asked.
Phoebe, who had stepped into the bathroom by now, spoke up. “Uh… It went fine. We got interrupted along the way, but I learned a few useful things.”
Oh no…
The idiot!
I told her not to tell Kaene about the Delta’s traitorous schemes yet. She’s going to ruin everything at this rate.
Meanwhile, Kaene seemed confused as he sat up. “What kind of interruption?”
I tensed up, contemplating if I should sneak in there and use a spell and shut Phoebe’s mouth up.
Luckily, her next words made me relax a bit. “Oh, don’t worry, it was nothing much. We got into a little argument about werewolf ranks and how disregarded the lower class is. We got carried away in the process.”
Phew!
But wait, why was she telling Kaene all this? She could’ve just told him that the meeting ‘went good’ and left it at that.
Sigh… And I thought she was smart.
“Got carried away?” I could pick up the change in Kaene’s tone.
It was possibly because of all the rumors flying around thanks to the ‘seeds’ I planted in Miranda’s head, but he was getting jealous of me and Phoebe.
I first noticed it the other night at the Luna Ball and now I could hear it in his voice again.
Perfect.
“Yes, Keane. We had a conversation in which we were both passionate about apparently and then kept on talking about it and got carried away.” Phoebe spoke up from the bathroom.
The rain had reduced by now, even though I was a bit soaked from the position I stood.
But it was worth it if it meant getting a first-class view of this drama.
Suddenly, Kaene stood up from the bed, giving me a view of his naked body.
He had muscles to get envious of, I would give him that. But what I may lack a bit in muscles, I made up for in the magic and intelligence department.

Anyway, he soon blurted. “Passionate is an interesting choice of words, Phoebe, don’t you think?”
If he didn’t get her attention before he definitely got it now.
Phoebe walked out of the bathroom with a towel wrapped around her body. It was clear that she wasn’t done with bathing but the annoyance in her eyes made it known that she didn’t care.
“Really, Kaene? What are you driving at?” She folded her arms in front of her chest. “If you have something to say just spill it out already.”
Yes, Kaene, spill it out.
Spill out how you’re a pathetic, insecure bum who rejected his mate but gets jealous because she was getting attention.
Hmph… This was all too amusing.
“Fine.” Kaene nodded, chuckling dryly. “People are talking, Phoebe. And in case you haven’t been hearing, they’ve been talking about you and Negan.”
Oh, snap!
My lips curled into a grin. It seems Miranda was’nt a complete waste of a good spell after all.
“What rumors, Kaene?” Phoebe queried even though she glanced around nervously.
Ugh, come on, girl!
At this rate, I wouldn’t have to do anything because Phoebe would rat herself out.
It would be a shame if that happened since I wanted the drama that would come with Catherine showing her son the video evidence.
Just then, after a few seconds of hesitation, Kaene sighed, looking away. “That you two’s closeness is suspicious, Phoebe.”
And there it was…
Phoebe’s face scrunched up with surprise as she blinked speechlessly.
But she was soon able to regain her composure as she muttered. “So, you believe these rumors, huh?”
Kaene remained silent but kept his gaze on her.
The tension was so palpable that I was bubbling with excitement from here.
Who cared if I was being drenched under the rain? This was peak cinema.
Suddenly, Phoebe scoffed, shaking her head with disappointment when Kaene didn’t answer her question. “I guess I have my answer.”
She looked away, gesturing at the door.
“This is my suite. You can leave.” She stated plainly.
However, Kaene remained silent, gawking at her and scrutinizing her intently.
When it seemed like she couldn’t take his awkward staring anymore, Phoebe groaned dramatically.
“Fine! I’ll leave.” She walked toward the door, clutching closely to the towel wrapped around her.
Unfortunately for her, she couldn’t catch a break as Kaene grabbed her by the elbow, forcing her to come back to him.
She gasped in surprise, her gaze going from his face to his hand wrapped around her before that surprise turned into anger.
“What in the blazes of thunderstorms do you think you’re doing?” She hollered, struggling to pull away from his grip.
Meanwhile, it seemed Kaene was coming back to his senses. “I’m sorry if my questions were… Overwhelming to you. But you have to understand where I’m coming from–”
“No! I don’t understand, Kaene!” Phoebe snapped, her teeth gritted with anger. “What is the meaning of this? Negan is your best friend for the moon’s sake! You don’t see me questioning you unnecessarily despite all the times Elsa has thrown herself on you.”
Well… She made a fair point.
Anyway, I was getting bored watching their argument and was about to hop out of there when a knock sounded at the door.
