Rise To Stardom - Chapter 139
Chapter 139: A Wedding To Remember
The next few weeks, passed by pretty fast.
And yet, every week, [The Curator] would trend on every social media site without fail, most especially on TweetTalk and TicToc.
The second episode especially, which brought about the #Conjecture! fever, was an episode that fans had really liked as it explored The 10th Curator’s particularly spontaneous and mad persona.
Still, the episode also reminded them that he was different, yet not that different from his other iterations when his shell was stripped away.
Just older, more cunning and less forgiving than his younger counterparts.
Added to that though, news soon got out as the third episode had aired, that Kyle and Jasmine literally never did more than one take for most of their scenes, further cementing both youngsters, Kyle especially, as actors who could work under pressure without breaking a sweat.
This too, got Kyle a whole lot of attention as almost every director and producer in Hollywood, knew that Tiana was infamous for doing that as a way to keep her actors on their toes.
So, the fact that Kyle literally never had a single issue with her on set despite all these, instantly made him a viable choice for most of them, a lot of whom were now looking for ways to have him star in any of their more recent projects.
Honestly, the amount of scripts Kyle had been receiving in recent memory was slowly getting a bit out of hand.
However, as if his fame wasn’t already erupting in such insane fashion, by the time the fourth episode rolled around towards the end of the month, something Kyle had completely forgotten that he had even done, got revealed to the public by a paparazzi whom had been digging into his past.
Him dashing out bonuses to everyone on the set of [Epoch One] and his frankly magnanimous donation to orphanage he grew up at in Minnesota.
This undoubtedly, had earned him a lot of love, respect and adoration from the general public again, especially because it wasn’t something he made public or literally ever planned on doing.
As a result, currently unknown to the young star, his already increasing fan group of now roughly over 100K+ fans with the well-earned hype of [The Curator], started increasing dramatically again towards roughly 150K+ fans.
That said, to a certain extent, Kyle and Oliver, were getting very concerned about all of this.
Too much attention, especially the good kind that the young star was receiving, was never a good thing in Hollywood as it could spell trouble for one’s career, especially when random people tried to frame certain actors and actresses for scandals, just to smear and dirty their clean image.
Yet, at the same time, the agent especially, knew that his ward really was a good person in and out and at least, for the most part, he wouldn’t have to be wary of any name-destroying news or rumors, circulating about him as long as they kept being vigilant.
Putting all that aside though, Oliver, dressed in his finest gray tuxedo today, escorted a gorgeously dressed Tiana who was wearing cream pleated midi dress, out of his Porsche, both walking side by side from the parking lot till they made their way to the congregation whom were already seated.
White, ornate yet beautiful rustic chairs, adorned with seasonal artificial flowers, were arranged in neat rows on the grassy plains, giving a stunning view of the picturesque lakeside where an even more adorned arch with actual seasonal flowers, garlands and greenery was situated.
A white carpet, still rolled up and yet to be unfurled, was placed at the foot of the adorned arch, yet to separate the grouped rows of well-arranged chairs as the couples were yet to take center stage.
People, most of whom included friends, families and select industry peers that Katie and Ryan had invited, gave the atmosphere a sort of intimate yet still, lively and accessible atmosphere.
The morning air was also fresh and damp, with the clear blue skies reflecting on the serene backdrop of the lake.
As Tiana took her seat, she then whispered to Oliver who sat beside her;
“I haven’t seen Kyle, Lily or Christina all day… I presume they’re part of the best men and bridesmaid?” she curiously asked.
“Yes.” Oliver quietly responded with a nod.
No sooner had he done that though, he watched as Jasmine whom had also just arrived, sat on Tiana’s other end after giving her pleasantries to both of them.
The sexy actress, dressed in a beautiful off-shoulder, mermaid slit, formal dress, was unsurprisingly, Lily’s plus two to the wedding.
Considering Lily wasn’t interested in the dating scene as of the moment, she had opted to invite a friend instead.
That said, even though the wedding ceremony itself, was going to be taking place outdoors, just nearby, was a wide, luxurious hall with floor to ceiling windows that was rented for the reception.
It was also in one of the smaller rooms of this luxurious hall, that Ryan’s best men were conversing with the man of the hour.
“I haven’t been this nervous in ages.” Ryan said to his best men who were adjusting some parts of his fitted white tux.

All three were dressed in well-fitted black tuxedos of their own, artificially painted, sage green flowers in their front pockets as they listened to Ryan continue speaking;
“Have I ever told you guys that I stutter when I’m extremely nervous?”
“You? Nervous… hmmm… interesting stuff…” Steven joked, grinning at Ryan who directed a slightly annoyed squint at him.
“Well, I think being nervous is perfectly understandable…” Kyle patted his buddy on the shoulder.
“Yeah. Just don’t stutter today though…” Joe, who obviously had become one of Ryan’s closest buddies, leisurely advised him with flexed eyebrows and pursed lips.
No sooner had they done that though, one of the wedding planners, peeked in through the door and informed the guys that the proceedings was starting.
Quickly, all four made their way out and met up with the rest of the groomsmen whom had been patiently waiting for their arrival.
As they did though, Steven sized Kyle up for a few moments before he then stated with a jab;
“Not wearing a long coat today, Kyle?”
“I will knock you, Steven.” Kyle quipped back in an instant, earning a hearty laughter from the entire group of men.
Evidently, Steven had been trying to ease up Ryan’s nervousness and both Kyle and Joe knew that.
Luckily, the quip from the young man had worked and Ryan, now in his typical merry-go-round mood, walked with joy and confidence as he made his way out of the hall…
Seemingly at least.
He was still actually pretty nervous but was trying to keep his nerves under control.
At the exact same time though, the best men, watched as the bridesmaids, all of which included Lily, Christina and Kiara (Katie’s mentor), alongside ladies from the theatre club Kyle hadn’t seen in the longest time, filed out of the other room where the bride was.
All of them were dressed in beautiful, sage green, ruffled chiffon dresses with a side slit, a similarly colored, sage-green flower, present in each of their hair.
Unknown to the best men, the ladies, just before coming out, had been drawing lots on whom they were going to be pairing up with during the procession.
It was just a random decision they had come up with on the spur of the moment before they left the room so there wasn’t any ‘major’ underlying agenda attached to it.
That said, most of the other bridesmaid had been cursing their luck when Christina drew Kyle’s name, even though the lady herself was a bit concerned that she forgot something everyone else was wearing during her preparations this morning.
The same happened when Lily drew Steven’s name and Kiara, drew Joe’s.
But it was all fun and games so no one took it seriously as they linked themselves up with other groomsmen.
Meeting up with each other though, following up the due processions as they waited for the groom to head out first, Kyle noticed that Christina was a bit nervous as she cuffed arms with him.
‘Oh…’ Kyle after scanning her for a brief second, inwardly muttered in realization, noticing that the lady’s silky smooth blonde hair, didn’t have the sage-green flower that every other bridesmaid had.
Checking his periphery, noticing that no one seemed to be focusing on them at the moment, Kyle casually removed one of the flowers in his front pocket and tucked it into her hair.
Widening her eyes in shock, Christina soon glanced over to him, her ever-green irises thankful.
However, Kyle warmly winked at her in response, causing a beautiful smile and a strong blush to bloom on the lady’s features.
Yet, no sooner had that happened, they along with the rest of their paired up bridesmaid and groomsmen, soon moved towards the procession, following in accordance till the bride, eventually showed up.
Now walking up the isle alongside her father, an Indian man in his late 50’s who bore a striking resemblance to Katie, kissed his daughter on the head before taking his place at the front chairs with his wife, Katie’s mother, who was obviously, American.
Now standing side by side, gazing at each other as the priest read the wedding vows, Ryan, after receiving the ring from Kyle, slipped it onto Katie’s fingers as he repeated the wedding vows;
“I, Ryan Troy Parker…”
“Do take Katie Singh Chopra…” he repeated after the priest.
“To be my lawfully wedded wife…” the priest read the vows and Ryan proceeded to do the same;
“To be my waffley- lawfully- …”
However, the damage had already been done as everyone at the venue, burst into laughter in an instant, the best men, bridesmaids and groomsmen included.
Lily was already shaking her head in resignation as she laughed and so was Christiana, Kyle, Joe and Steven.
Katie herself, not even minding that she was the bride, burst into laughter, tears quickly brimming on her eyes.
Ryan, already realizing he had botched the vow, simply accepted his fate as he casually added;
“And pancakey, wedded wife… I’ve been nervous all day, what’d you expect?”
Instantly, Katie’s laughter rang the loudest at that, the lady reeling her head back in complete laughter.
At the same time, her infectious laughter spread like a cascading wave, over to everyone in the venue, causing every blessed soul at the venue to similarly burst into another wave of laughter.
Even the priest didn’t hesitate to join in this time.
As Kyle watched it all happen though, he couldn’t help but think to himself while laughing from the belly alongside his bros;
‘Oh this is going to be a wedding to remember!’
