Chapter 140: [Now & Forevermore]
Following the hilarious incident at the wedding vows, it took a few more tries before Katie, finally stopped laughing and the vows were finally tied.

Ryan and Katie, were now official as lawfully wedded, husband and wife.

What followed after all that, were the typical traditional wedding proceedings, the wedding recessional, following after as the newly wedded couple, walked down the aisle with claps, cheers and applauses from family, friends and guests alike.

At the same time, the bridesmaids, sprayed petals of flowers, adding to the overall blissfulness and jubilation of the entire scene.

A few seconds later, after a few pictures were taken, everyone, moved over to the hall for the wedding reception to begin.

The mood was jolly and the atmosphere was merry as glasses clinked, delicious aromas of food wafted around and guests mingled, their lively chatter and laughter, filling up every corner of the hall.

The soft, classical music of the hired session musicians, also encouraged people to sway to its rhythm as heartfelt toasts and speeches from both family and friends were made to the newlyweds.

All in all, everyone seemed relaxed yet eager to keep the festivities going, well into the night.

However, in addition to all that, the wedding was literally a treasure trove of some of the most popular celebrities at the moment.

And as a result, a lot of these celebrities, occasionally had people, politely come up to them for light, casual conversations and autographs.

Kyle especially, had the most people come up to him at intervals.

Yet, unperturbed by it all, he casually mingled with everyone else without drawing any actual attention to himself.

As at the moment, he was even sitting amongst some of the guys and ladies from the theatre club alongside Christina, all of whom were having a pretty interesting conversation.

“So, who’s getting married next?” one of the groomsmen asked the rest of the people whom were sitting around the round table with curious interest, a bit of mirth in his tone as he glanced over to each of them.

“Definitely not me! Me and love, just don’t get along.” one of the ladies responded with a sigh of acceptance.

“Honestly, I understand how you feel. Cupid shot me in my leg recently and I tripped on fell on my face.” another lady, one of the bridesmaid this time, casually stated, causing everyone at the table to share a hearty laughter.

“Trust me dear. It’ll only get worse from there…” one of the guys, casually chipped in whilst sipping on his cocktail with a mix of a playful yet nervous chuckle, further adding to the wave of laughter.

“Kyle. What about you? Any special someone you’re planning to tie the knot with?” one of the ladies, curiously asked with an arched eyebrow as she watched the young man, take another sip out of his fruit punch.

Instantly, the young man became the center of attention, everyone including Christina, landing curious gazes on him.

In response though, Kyle, quickly put on a concerned expression and then spoke;

“I don’t know if you guys have noticed by now but, it could be raining ladies, and I’d still be single…”

Dangerously chuckling a bit to himself with a slight hint of denial in his tone, Kyle then added;

“This is fine…”

No sooner had he said that though, everyone else at the table, burst into another bout of laughter.

The fact that Kyle wasn’t taking the question too seriously like all of them but instead, found the opportunity to make fun of himself for not being in a relationship, had been genuinely hilarious yet unexpected.

At the same time, all of them couldn’t help but acknowledge his satirical wit as he currently grinned alongside them, their conversation moving on to other interesting topics.

Needing a refill of his fruit punch though, Kyle soon excused himself from the group, making his way over to the fruit punch bowl.

Meeting him halfway through his destination though, was Lily.

“Oh perfect! Kyle, meet Amy. My younger sister.” Lily, introduced a young lady who bore a striking resemblance to Lily herself, albeit younger and with long, black hair.

Smiling warmly in response to her, Kyle extended a handshake as he spoke;

“Hello Amy. It’s a pleasure to meet you. I’ve heard quite a lot about you from Lily.”

“It’s my pleasure to meet you too! You’re my favorite actor!” Amy excitedly grinned, staring at Kyle with star-struck eyes!

“Not Lily?” Kyle amusedly asked her in response.

“Close second.” Amy playfully waved her sister off as Lily herself squinted, both at her traitor of a younger sister and Kyle himself who was currently giving her a subtle yet smug expression.

Having given her sister what she wanted though, Lily, after a few seconds of conversing with them, stealthily slipped away, leaving both individuals to their conversation.

A few minutes later, having had a pretty casual yet engaging conversation with the young star, Amy requested for a photo, one that Kyle was more than willing to oblige to.

“Thank you so much Kyle!” Amy beamed at the young man who responded with a warm smile;

“You’re most welcome Amy. Have fun!”

Following that, both individuals parted, each making their way to their respective destinations.

Amy though, quickly whipped up her phone the moment she was out of Kyle’s vicinity and posted on his fan group;

No sooner had she posted that though, the fan group, instantly exploded and yet, the lady, instead of explaining how she got a picture with Kyle, withheld the information with a proud gloat.

Lily who glanced over to her sister from afar the moment she noticed this though, simply shook her head in resignation as Jasmine, whom had been sitting on her table, alongside Tiana and Oliver, left for the fruit punch bowl too.

Unfortunately, she was held up by a polite fan who came up to speak with her.

Finally reaching the fruit punch bowl though, Kyle, just as he had his refill, watched as the MC for the wedding ceremony, called up the newly wedded couple to cut the cake.

Around the exact same time, Joe and Steven, having had a refill of their champagnes for the toast, walked over to Kyle, situating themselves in the same space as the trio of best men.

Gazing at him from afar, all three, once they noticed Ryan’s eyes, darting about the reception in search of them after cutting the cake, raised their voices a few decibels louder above the other guests, earning a genuine grin from Ryan once he spotted them.

Katie on the other hand, having noticed all three too, soon focused her gaze on Kyle, her eyes gleaming in excitement as she did.

To that, Kyle simply nodded in response, understanding just exactly what she meant.

The Bridal Waltz would be happening in a few minutes.

Casually engaging in small mundane conversations with both Steven and Joe, both soon left a few minutes later, Kyle already refilling his third cup of fruit punch.

“I fear that at this rate, the entire bowl’s gonna go empty before evening comes around.” Jasmine whom had finally reached the table where a massive bowl of fruit punch, was placed, stated with a chuckle as she added;

“And there’s only one culprit in this entire hall capable of doing that.” she zeroed in on Kyle with her gaze, slightly grinning at him as she did.

The young man however, simply smiled in amusement, casually drinking his fruit punch without batting an eye… although a few certain pairs of eyes, frequently glancing over to him was getting concerning.

Jasmine, as if noticing this too, spoke almost instantaneously again, a curious expression on her features as she stated;

“In other news though, even though you’ve practically being the most eligible bachelor all day here, there’s been a certain group of ladies who constantly keep staring at you. That’s curious, I guess…”

Glancing over in the direction of Haley and her friends, Kyle wasn’t particularly surprised that they were here at the wedding, although they did have their own dates and plus twos.

In fact, he had noticed, back when they had arrived earlier in the day but never paid it any mind.

Haley after all, had been part of the theatre club so Kyle wasn’t surprised that Ryan and Katie extended invites over to her since they basically did to every other person in their theatre club too.

As for the other three… now that really was a curious case…

Sighing a bit as he placed his emptied glass cup on the tray though, Kyle lightly smiled as he responded to Jasmine;

“Long story short, they’re just strangers I don’t have particularly fond memories of. That’s all it is really…”

“Oh…” the sexy actress quietly muttered, realizing that it was more of a personal incident for Kyle.

Smiling at him, respecting his boundaries and not willing to prod deeper into the matter, the lady nodded her head in acceptance as she drank her fruit punch, her and Kyle, watching the lively reception in comfortable silence.

Yet, Kyle, having seen the MC, going up on stage to announce the Bridal Waltz a few seconds later, swiftly moved from where he was, one that caused a puzzled Jasmine to wonder what he was up to.

Widening her eyes in a bit of realization though, remembering that Kyle wasn’t just an actor alone but also a popular musician, the actress swiftly moved towards where her table was, taking her seat in anticipation for whatever song Kyle wanted to sing.

Considering that only a select few knew about this (the newly wedded couple, Oliver, Lily, Christina, Joe and Steven), almost everyone else who was unaware of this, casually kept socializing, not even realizing when the young man sat by the piano.

Even the session musicians, were kept in the dark pertaining to this, although Kyle had simply gestured to them to relax as only he, needed to perform the song he was about to sing.

And so, waiting for his friends, the newly wedded couple to take center stage, Kyle then spoke, garnering everyone’s attention.

“I will tell you this; This, was the most fun I’ve ever had, writing a song so I really hope that you both love it.”

“We will!” Ryan and Katie, responded in unison with beaming smiles as they responded to Kyle who then nodded in acceptance before speaking again;

“[Now & Forevermore]. I dedicate this song, solely to both you.”

No sooner had Kyle said that, his hands, danced on the tiles of the piano, a soft, delicate melody now filling up the entirety of the hall as the newly wedded couple, slowly waltzed to it.

At the same time, Kyle’s soft vocals, soon entered the song which had already set an intimate and emotional atmosphere in the hall.

The first verse of the song, had literally almost everyone, stop and pay full attention as the couple danced, eyes locked onto each other in tender affection.

The melody of the song, despite being so simple yet heartfelt, was bolstered further, solely by Kyle’s sincere and emotionally-charged voice as he sang the chorus.

There was a sense of genuine affection and devotion in Kyle’s voice that perfectly encapsulated the song’s romantic tone, one that was evident by how resonant golden threads had extended from him, over to everyone in the reception hall as he moved over to the second verse.

Katie, as of this moment, already had tears of happiness, streaming down her eyes as she lovingly gazed at Ryan who reciprocated with an affectionate gaze of his own.

The lyrics of the song Kyle was performing, was something they could both resonate with strongly, especially because it perfectly, encompassed their current state of mind.

And in continuation to this, Kyle sang the chorus again, his powerfully emotive vocals and the emotion of the song, swelling to a crescendo as the song, peaked once again.

Waltzing with the most beautiful of smiles adorning their features, everyone else in the hall, feeling extremely moved by the song, Kyle sang the outro, one that bore an exact similarity to the first verse as the simple melody of the piano tune, slowly faded…

Ending the song on that powerful note, Katie and Ryan, indulged in a sweet kiss as Kyle, had the warmest of smiles, bloom on his features.

Kyle’s song, one that followed a classic ballad structure with simple, stripped down verses, was a beautiful expression of unconditional love, focused on the idea of being devoted to one’s partner, no matter what challenges they would face as they moved forward together.

Standing up from the piano stool, completely ignoring the ringing in his head, the young man, moved towards the duo who instantly, pulled him into the tightest and warmest of hugs, the reception hall, standing up to give all three a standing ovation, blissful smiles on their features.
