Chapter 142: Just Business
As the wedding finally came to an end, guests, friends, families and loved ones, leaving for their respective homes, Amy, crashed onto the bed the moment they arrived at the rented hotel for the night, her mood still at an all-time high because she had met her favorite star today.

Added to that, she had been amongst the very first to hear Kyle’s brand new song [Now & Forevermore], live!

Nothing really could top that in her opinion.

Kicking her feet on her bed like the elated teenage girl she was, Amy soon remembered the chaos she had sowed in the fan group, prompting her to roll over and pull up her phone, curious interest in her eyes as she navigated over to read the messages;

Wendy The Witch: I can’t wait for Kyle to officially release this song! Also @Princess Peach, I’m so jealous of you! You got to hear the song live!

WeDoABitOfTrolling: Alright. We shall now get a cauldron and add a fizzle of peach dust to summon that slippery, pink princess!

As the lady chuckled lightly in response to all the comments which had been sent about a few hours back, more and more still to be read as she scrolled through almost 500+ messages, the lady, after reading through it all, finally responded.

No sooner had she responded to some of the messages though, the fan group, as if waiting for her to have arrived all day, instantly became lively as people started tagging and bombarding her with back to back questions about Kyle, whom the wedding was for and how she had gotten to meet him.

Lily on the other hand, now draped in a towel as she walked into her into the room after taking a shower, shook her head in amusement as she watched her sister’s legs, swing back and forth, a light grin on her features as she continued responding to all the messages.

Dahlia had once again been pushed out by her boss and co-workers, all of whom cajoled her to take the weekend off again.

The lady too, after a bit of resistance, agreed to their wishes.

To a certain extent too, Dahlia had been really looking forward to her weekends for the past few weeks now.

Once again, she would have enough time to watch the newly released episode of the [The Curator]’s 10th season and then re-watch all the episodes from scratch again.

Fortunately for her co-workers though, due to a certain unfavorable and frankly unwelcoming incident occurring right now in the studio, they were at least glad that Dahlia wasn’t around to witness it.

“This is bullshit!” a man with messy dark-brown in his mid-thirties retaliated with a furious shout as some of his co-workers, kept trying to hold him back!

“Fuck you Griffin! I should’ve never trusted you!” he continued furiously, trying his best to move forward and sock their company’s biggest investor and CEO in the face, even as people kept trying to hold him back!

“The game’s returns were more than double the investments and yet, for some fucked up greed of yours that was never met, you’re shutting down the studio?!!” Carlos bellowed at the good-looking dude with a defined jaw and dark-brown irises who simply directed a condescending gaze in his direction.

“Let me, go!” he fought against his co-workers who kept holding him back from bashing Griffin in the face!

“Well, I alone didn’t come to this decision.” the CEO in his mid-thirties, his black hair, gelled and slicked backwards, casually responded, checking his gold-plated wrist watch as he did.

“Rather, it was a unified agreement from the board of investors. SpawnPoint Studios would be better off, sold and assimilated into a bigger company that can better utilize your resources.” he concluded, turning around to take his leave.

“Eviction starts tomorrow morning at 9:00 am prompt. Ensure to pack your stuff before then…” Griffin waved with an air of dismissal as he made his way towards the elevator.

Forcefully pushing through everyone that was holding him back, Carlos, his face red from anger and hurt, yanked a mouse from a computer desk and hurled it straight at Griffin who had a smug expression as the elevator’s doors closed…

“Remember Carlos. It’s nothing personal. Just business.”

That was Griffin’s last words as the doors to the elevator, closed off, the flung mouse, destroyed as it crashed onto its closed, metallic doors.

Casually getting off of his bed the next morning, Kyle stretched like a lazy cat on a weekend.

It had been quite a while since he had woken up without any major things to delve into for the day so the young man, simply went about doing his daily routine.

Added to that too, Kyle was feeling as if he was on top of the world despite all the stress of yesterday.

‘Absolutely worth it though.’ Kyle smiled as he changed outfits and made his way out the door a minute later.

Coming back from his cardio about an hour later, Kyle wasn’t surprised to realize that he didn’t even feel tired, and neither was he sweating heavily like he usually would’ve.

Taking his bath and casually dressing up for the day, Kyle decided to finally check out his two new skills, alongside his current stats since he had instead, opted to crash onto his bed and sleep the moment he got home yesterday.

Gazing at his status screen for a few minutes, Kyle’s eyes, lingered on his guitar stats and dancing stat especially for a few seconds.

“Should level those up really…” he muttered to himself with a small nod.

Bearing them in mind, the young star made a conscious decision to put in the work to elevate both to higher levels.

Closing off the panel though, now preparing some toast while patiently waiting for the timer, Kyle pulled up his phone and switched on his wi-fi connectivity while navigating over to TweetTalk, even as his phone was instantly bombarded with a crap ton of messages.

In more recent memory, roughly the past few months now, the young star who mostly stayed offline, had actually been coming online for a certain reason, one which was very much related to a certain game he had read about last year being in production.

Yet, before he could even navigate over to the studio’s account to check if there were any new updates on the game’s progress, Kyle soon realized that [Now & Forevermore], even before official release, was already trending as Number Five on the platform.

As for the Number One trending topic though, it was the 5th Episode of [The Curator] which was also yet to be aired but would be in an hour’s time.

Apparently, DreamLand Inc. had released a promo short, solely for the new episode, yesterday evening.

The short, had featured what seemed to be a flickering lightbulb in a room that then, went on to stabilize after a while once it’s switch was flipped off and then on again, but this time, alongside three other bulbs, one, far brighter than the other two.

This obviously, had garnered fans attentions as they wondered what exactly that simple teaser meant.

As a result, a lot of people were discussing about it prior to the actual episode being released, their excitement for the episode heightened and their curiosity, piqued.

Slightly shaking his head in amusement though, especially since he understood just what the short had meant when he had viewed it yesterday evening, Kyle soon clicked on the account he had been searching for.

Instantly, upon reading the latest post from the account, an immediate frown, graced the young man’s features.

Yet, without even a single second wasted, Kyle swiftly dialed Oliver’s number!

Nothing, not even SpawnPoint’s Studio’s tweet about being sold off and possibly acquired by a bigger studio was going to stop him from playing a [Tech Wiz] videogame!

‘Not on my watch.’ Kyle inwardly declared as his call to Oliver, went through.
