Rise To Stardom - Chapter 145
Chapter 145: New CEO?
[BEST EPISODE EVER!]
That was the simple post Queen Galactica had made and yet, as if everyone else shared her sentiments, the tweet started getting a shit ton of engagements within seconds of her posting it.

Queen Galactica: BEST EPISODE EVER! BEST CURATOR EVER! BEST SEASON EVER!
Princess Peach: Exhibit. Watch, internet denizens. @Queen Galactica; is fangirling, hard.
The 100th Curator: I love how even the 5th and 6th Curator’s all share the same sentiments as the 10th Curator regarding his younger face. The ‘Young. I don’t like it.’ gets me every blessed time. And how ironic is it that the 10th Curator, far younger looking, would call two older counterparts, ‘youngsters’ and it’d still make sense!? This show’s amazing!
Youngster_Professor 91: Read about Nikola Tesla during my younger years… it’s really lovely to see this great man being honored in the best way possible from the few clips I’ve seen online, even though I don’t follow [The Curator].
WeDoABitOfTrolling: Give it a whirl @Youngster_Professor 91. Just ensure to skip season 7, 8 and 9… well except for the last episode of season 9 so you’ll at least understand the contexts in the first episode of this new season properly.
Adam With An A: The prophecy has been fulfilled! We got a Multi-Curator moment bois!!! And man was it such a fever dream to see Collins and William back in their roles as the 5th and 6th Curator!
ManFromMars: @Adam With An A; Really sucks that they were only there for a brief moment though. Would’ve been amazing if they actually got about to conversing with each other! But then again, they’re time travelers. We don’t want any wibbly-wobbly timey-wimey rapture in space-and-time-continuum-type-shit-stuff happening again…
The 78th Curator: @ManFromMars; Man! Now I need to go re-watch the entirety of season 6 again! We were so against William’s casting back then as the 6th Curator but now, we realize just how great he was, coming off of Collin’s legendary performance as the 5th. And then there’s K.K. The outlier who stole our hearts from the first episode. Perfect casting, period!
Peter_Writes_Fantasy: It’s such a paradox to see the newest and less experienced actor, play the role of the oldest and most experienced Curator, yet still, even to us as viewers, the older-looking actors, feel far younger in comparison to Kyle’s acting. I can’t state it enough that Kyle’s amazing really. Oh and speaking of paradox, [Paradox] is currently playing on my playlist as I type!
DumblingDore: Big congratulations to DreamLand Inc. for absolutely smashing their all-time highest ratings! This season has been fant-… I mean brilliant!
Boy_By_The_Table: @DumblingDore; The only other possible episode in my opinion that could probably top this, would be the final episode. Speaking of final episode, it’ll be here in a month’s time. Man, I don’t want to see The 10th Curator go…

Once again, [The Curator] was trending again on TweetTalk… as it had been doing every week for the past month now.
Considering the company’s net worth was roughly about $7.86 billion dollars before the 10th season of [The Curator] started airing, DreamLand Inc. stocks, had risen by about 12.9% and was still steadily increasing.
That was roughly $1 billion dollars extra in revenue, solely due to the show’s massive popularity.
Licensing fees and syndication, in the form of re-broadcasting on various other channels around the world, had practically skyrocketed beyond the predictions of the company’s analysts and investors!
Added to that, advertising revenues had exponentially increased!
Many different brands of products and merchandises, were constantly looking for ways to capitalize on this widespread fame and get their own royalties as they pitched their ideas to the broadcasting company to have the main cast, advertise some of their products.
For the most part, only the most tangible and profitable were accepted by Quentin and Bruno, while most, were still being contemplated upon.
That said, as of the moment, the broadcasting company was practically swimming in money and other broadcasting channels and OTT platforms could only wish they had a massively popular series like [The Curator], one which was capable of being their own cash cow, even after ten whole years!

(Two days later…)
[Well, you’re not obligated to come really but, considering you’re the star of the show…]
“It’s going to be my first red carpet event Jon. I’ll ensure to be there.” Kyle chuckled as he and the DreamLand Executive, conversed over the car’s wireless speakers.
[That’s more like it. Wear your best outfit too.] Jon’s voice was noticeably ecstatic, as opposed to his typical reserved and cool demeanor.
“Roger that.” Kyle chuckled again, only to laugh heartily when he heard Jon’s next words;
[By the way, do let Oliver know that we’re looking forward to the wedding. I saw a video of the bridal throw ‘incident’… and then there’s Tiana who has been extra springy in recent memory…]

To that, Oliver himself who was also inside the vehicle alongside his ward, shared in Kyle’s warm laughter.
After a few more seconds of other mundane conversations, Kyle got off the call, a light smile on his lips as the car’s audio, switched back to a random radio channel.
“Next month’s slowly getting packed…” Oliver whom was sitting in the passenger’s seat stated, eyes locked onto his phone’s screen as he scrolled through his planner for his ward’s schedule.
“Yeah. Still can’t believe I’m going to opening three out of Carl Finch’s five mini-concerts though…” Kyle responded, a strong hint of excitement, present in his tone as he made a left turn.
“It does feel quite surreal…” Oliver nodded in agreement as he raised his gaze up whilst continuing;
“Still, this is another great opportunity for you to gain a lot of experience. GrooveFest 10 was a nice learning experience for you I’m sure but, the audience never exceeded past 6000 people tops at most venues…”
“I’m pretty sure Carl’s mini tour, will have triple, if not quadruple that number per show.” the agent thoughtfully stated as he glanced over to his ward who simply smiled in response;
“Can’t wait, to experience it!”
Honestly, Kyle really was looking forward to the event.
First off, excluding the audience at the wedding, the young man, hadn’t performed live before so many people in such a long while and he was really, really stoked to finally get that chance again to reach an even higher stage in his music career.
Secondly, Kyle as of recent memory, had started contemplating over making an album… an album he hoped he’d also be able to go around his very first music tour with.
Opening Carl’s mini-tours, would contribute greatly to him having the feel for it when the day eventually came for him.
As for the third… Kyle was curious yet hoping to see, if he could quite possibly squeeze out a few levels in the instrumental mastery of his guitar skills since he’d be performing before so many people.
That said, bringing the car to a halt at the parking space before an ergonomically built, two-storey building, Oliver commented with an acknowledging tone;
“And then there’s you been the new CEO of SpawnPoint Studio…”
“Proudly.” Kyle grinned with a strong hint of pride in his contented gaze.
“Investments are inevitable when you own a company Kyle… and so are losses.” Oliver said to his ward as they both got out of the vehicle, Kyle remotely locking the doors as he replied with thin smile;
“I know. But then again, profits are also a thing, aren’t they?”
“That is correct.” Oliver lightly smiled, slightly nodding in agreement as they both made their way up the stairs that led to the automatic doors.
“So, asides from any unforeseeable circumstances, I’m fairly certain that as long as I don’t do anything stupid or unrealistically risky, I should make less losses and more profit.” Kyle continued as they walked through the empty lobby.
“Spoken like a true business man.” Oliver clicked on the elevator’s button, chuckling as the doors opened.
“I have a subscription-free class where I educate aspiring businessmen. Feel free to drop by every now and then.” Kyle playfully stated with a smug grin, earning a small laughter from Oliver as they stepped into the elevator which was taking them to the top floor.

The moment Dahlia had arrived at work today, she had been shocked to hear everything that had happened just a few minutes after she had left for home.
Carlos’s furious outburst at Griffin, their now former CEO!?
The sudden eviction notice with practically all of them instantly getting fired!?
The studio almost getting absorbed into a bigger company!?
That would’ve meant that SpawnPoint Studio would’ve shut down, rendering all the efforts they had been putting into the [Tech Wiz] videogame void in an instant.
She personally, would’ve felt extremely heartbroken and disheartened as that was the only reason she had even bothered to accept the company’s mediocre pay in the first place.
However, having spent a few months here, SpawnPoint Studio and its employees, had really, really grown on the lady.
That was why, she had been extremely relieved to hear, that the company had been bought back by another investor whom, crazily enough, had been willing to retain all the employees in the company.
To be fair, this was something most investors and game publishers would avoid doing as it meant extra costs for them to constantly keep paying said employees after already owning the studio when they could, practically, have them all laid off and restructure a new bill and salary to work with for fresh, new employees.
However, the lingering question still remained in all of the employee’s minds, all of whom were curious as to whom bought out the company and was simultaneously also, their new CEO.
Dahlia, and most especially, Carlos, was extremely curious as to whom said person was.
But at the same time, the Studio Head, was also wary yet concerned since he knew Griffin to be a complete douche… even from their time together in college…
And so were the people he rolled with.
That was why, presently, Carlos, even amidst the curious chatter of his colleagues at the top floor’s mini lobby, all of whom were currently gathered while waiting for the arrival of the new CEO whom had informed them he would be coming over today, the Studio Head, hoped to high heavens that said CEO, would at least be a decent person.
That was why, the moment the elevator dinged, hinting that their new CEO was now on the floor, everyone instantly cut their chatter off, eyes trained on the elevator’s doors as it opened up.
