Chapter 179: Circus
The news regarding Kyle’s album being released had only been out for a few hours and yet, it was already one of the most talked about topics on various social media platforms.

One of the most read articles regarding it, was ‘created’ by a popular Hollywood Magazine that attached the written article on their website to their TweetTalk post for the day with the caption;

HOLLYWOOD’S HOTTEST RISING STAR, KYLE KESTIS, ANNOUNCES DEBUT ALBUM RELEASE DATE.

Breakout roles in recent blockbuster projects!

Charismatic, on-screen presence!

And best of all, a fantastic music career that has earned him as much fame and aplomb as his acting career has, Kyle Kestis has once again, cooked up a storm in the industry, dropping another exciting news from the blue!

His very first debut album!

Although the multi-talented artist is yet to drop a single teaser pertaining to what we could be expectant of, he did, leave us with a poster of the album’s cover art with the title; Kaleidoscopes.

This, definitely, has fans excited but that isn’t the only thing that has them excited.

Earlier today, the trailer for [Level Up 2] dropped and fans, couldn’t help but get even more ecstatic after finding out that their favorite star was going to be starring in the movie.

Sure concerns are up as to whether the dance-movie will be a success considering [Prom Perfect 3] is being released on the same day but, nevertheless, the hype from fans are undeniable.

Back to the album though, reports from a trusted source, have informed us, that Kyle will be featuring a fair number of artists, with R & J and Steven Andersson already confirmed!

This comes as no surprise really considering all four still kept in touch even after their time together on the popular singing reality TV show, Rising Voices.

Still, we here at Pop Verse, can’t help but be curious as to whom the other featured artist… or artists in the album will be.

Guess we’ll have to wait like everybody else to find out!

That said, Kaleidoscopes, which has been rumored to have seven songs in addition to the other seven Kyle has previously released, will apparently be dropping next year, on the 9th of April, 2021!

And just like that, more and more comments piled into the post, each denizen with something of their own to say.

Yet, as if that hadn’t been engaging enough, other Hollywood tabloids, magazines, bloggers and influencers, soon began coming out with different variations of their own articles and even short clips, further spreading the news rapidly.

As Gwen tracked all these articles and short TicToc clips, she couldn’t help but smile, her expression content.

“Good. That should do for now…” she muttered to herself in satisfaction as she scrolled through her various social media feeds.

At the same time as this was happening, an intern from Pop Verse, the very first magazine to have covered the story, contacted the woman to give her appreciation for providing her with such precious info and even, creating a well-tailored, template for a written article to match.

To that, Gwen simply replied;

No biggie. We’ll be working together in the long run so I hope we stay in touch.

Having replied, Gwen then refocused her attention on her laptop, pulling up a different tab to watch the Hollywood’s Star Awards livestream.

Despite all the debacle last year, especially with their reputation and credibility scalded irreversibly with no hope of redemption, the Awards Show was still, unsurprisingly, quite popular as most celebrities, still attended while streamers making content and other denizens of the internet, tuned in via livestream.

Even though Owen had informed them all that Kyle wasn’t interested in attending the event, they as his team, still wished he did as it would’ve led to more PR by the time the news about Kaleidoscopes dropped.

“Oh, are they about to announce the Best New Artist?” Camille questioned as she got up from the couch.

The lawyer had just come back from her firm a few minutes ago and had been relaxing on the couch before she began sorting through some of Kyle’s other proposed endorsement deals and contracts.

“Yeah. Kyle didn’t win the Best New Song Award, unfortunately.”

“But I’m certain he’ll win this.” Gwen confidently stated, her attention on the screen as all the names of the nominees were called.

Leaning over Gwen’s shoulder, Camille also watched, her expression hopeful;

[And the award for Best New Artist goes to…]

With bated breaths, the ladies waited in anticipation…

[Justin King!]

“What?!” Gwen and Camille simultaneously exclaimed in confused disbelief, the facial contours on their visages contorting into a deep, deep frown.

And then, just as Justin went on stage to receive his trophy, almost everyone else in the comments section, let out a similar string of confused and annoyed comments…

Only to watch as Justin joked a few seconds later;

[We should at least try to honor our invitations, right? Even if we know we might never win, we should keep staying humble as celebrities…]

[And, who knows, maybe that’s why I even won the award…] the young artist joked even further, his face all full of smiles as he then laughed it off, after which he then proceeded to give his appreciation speech.

To that, Gwen and Camille turned to face each other slowly, a more pronounced look of disbelief on their faces.

This same disbelief, was shared by the denizens livestreaming in the comments section.

I Ain’t Pleased: Um, what?! A celebrity has every blessed right to reject showing up at an award show, especially an award show that has lost all fuggin’ credibility and has now denied him his due award, twice!! Like who the heck is this Justin guy do pray tell (Yes I’m being sarcastic if you can’t tell)?!

JustFacts: This guy’s a circus. I’m pretty certain the only reason Kyle isn’t here, is because he has to work on his album… you know… the one he just announced a few hours ago?!

“You know what? I’m actually glad Kyle declined the offer to show up.” Gwen stated after a while, a subtle fury in her tone as she immediately closed the tab with a pissed smile.

“Same here Gwen. Same here.” Camille, with a similar expression on her beautiful features face, agreed with a brief nod.

Sure they knew artists calling out other artists wasn’t a new thing in Hollywood but even then, they couldn’t seem to fathom why Justin was suddenly beefing with Kyle out of the blue.

And so would Kyle himself, when he eventually found out…

Still, Gwen and Camille were equal parts furious at Justin’s comments yet somewhat glad that Kyle didn’t have to face such unwarranted ridicule from a fellow artist.

Meanwhile, in the recording studio, completely oblivious to the Award Show proceedings, Kyle raised the lyric sheet for his completed fourth song, up into the air while stating;

“I’ve obtained happiness!”

To that, Oliver, Owen, Jennie and Christina, all of whom were in the recording studio as of the moment, burst into laughter at his sudden, out-of-the-blue declaration.

(A few days later…)

A bunch of back-up singers that Oliver had hired for Kyle, were currently in the recording booth, harmonizing together as Jennie, occasionally gave them a few instructions as per Kyle’s guidelines for the fourth song.

Kyle himself was also seated by the consoles, although his headphone was hanging on his neck, his attention elsewhere.

“Gymnastics are fine and all, but…”

“… I haven’t sung in a very long time, Kyle. Last time I did, was in a musical I acted in six years ago.” Jasmine commented in slight anxiety, her gaze occasionally reading through the lyric sheet in her hands.

“Oh don’t worry. Your part’s really short so it’ll be easy to hit a fairly high note once.” Kyle responded to the lady whom was still obviously anxious, to which he then assured;

“Besides, the bulk of where you come in, isn’t in the song itself really, but the music video.”

To that, the lady nodded reluctantly and then questioned curiously a few seconds later;

“Why a circus though?”

“Why not a circus?” Kyle replied with an easygoing smile instead, fingers interlocked as he watched the lady squint at him, hands resting on her hips.

Eventually, after a few seconds of holding his gaze, Jasmine then sighed in resignation and stated;

“Honestly Sapphire, I wonder how you even come up with crazy ideas like this.”

“Me neither Jasmine. Me neither.” Kyle honestly replied with a light shake of his head, after which he then returned his attention, back to the singers performing in the recording booth.
