“Because the amount of contribution points would be lacking if you don’t follow to work,” Mr. Thompson snorted.

He might pamper his son on daily basis but now that the world has changed, he couldn’t let his son stayed that way. If they wanted to live well, they had to work and Mr. Thompson couldn’t let his son relax all the time like he used to be.

Pera had to work too.

“But…” Pera frowned but he found his father looking at him coldly.

“You’re 18 years old, not 8 years old.” Mr. Thompson snorted.

Hearing this, Pera could only stay silent. He actually wanted to go to his mother and file a complaint about his father. But knowing that his mother would side with his father rather than siding with him in some cases, he chose not to.

If he did, his father might only punish him.

These days hadn’t been easy.

Before long, Mrs. Thompson returned with a bright smile. “We can eat in the canteen today. Tomorrow, I’ll try to find that b*tch again.”

Stephen looked at his younger sister and sighed. “Didn’t I tell you before that if you choose this path, you have to train Melly?”

But the Carson Family had no intention to raise a powerful magic beast. They had heard from Samuel that raising the rank of a magic beast consumed a lot of resources.

This was one of the reasons why these magic beasts were rampart outside.

They would kill other magic beasts for the sake of themselves to become as strong as possible.

Now that Sophia formed a contract with Melly…

Stephen sighed.

“I know, Brother,” Sophia said and patted Melly’s head. She was sitting beside Sophia, acting very obedient and quiet.

“Then…”

“You mean that I have to fight against those magic beasts,” Sophia interrupted her brother before he finished speaking and she looked at her brother deeply. “I don’t like fighting but I don’t want to be weak either.”

If the Carson Family was still the leading family, then there was no problem with Sophia not doing anything and only enjoying her life.

But the Carson Family is not the leading and powerful family like how it used to be.

And Sophia didn’t want to stay behind all the time.

So she made this decision.

Stephen looked at his sister’s determined look and then nodded. “Tomorrow, you’ll come with me to pay a visit to Riya and Samuel. They should be able to know how high is Melly’s talent and how to train him better.”

Even if those two were not professional beast master, but they have more knowledge than them. Rather than training Melly’s blindly, it would be better to leave it to someone who knew this matter better.

Sophia smiled brightly. “Thank you, Brother.”

Hearing the way Melly called Stephen, Sophia almost laughed out loud. It turned out that Melly always called Stephen that way.

He sighed deeply and could only shake his head. “Go back to rest. I’m going out first.”

“Where are you going, Brother? It’s late.” Sophia looked at his brother suspiciously.
