Runemaster in the Last Days - Chapter 231
Chapter 231: Requests
“Another promise?” Riya looked at Samuel blankly and then shrugged. “It’s fine. To be honest, I would rather ask for some weapon blueprint from the nation if they’re willing to give it.”
“Weapon blueprint?” Samuel was stunned when he heard that. He knew very well that despite some people owning hot weapons, their number was limited in their nation. After all, the higher ups didn’t want to cause so much chaos.
The only thing they could do was to limit it.
And the blueprint for ordinary weapons might not be that hard to find because some designs were outdated. But for the newest weapon and so on, Samuel was sure that they would not be willing to hand it over.
“Yes.” Riya nodded and looked at Samuel with a faint smile. “It’s not going to be easy, isn’t it?”
Samuel shook his head with a sigh. “Depends on what weapons you want. If it’s the outdated weapons such as handgun, rifles or assault rifles should be possible too. But if you’re asking for bombs and so on, it’s unlikely they’ll give it.”
“Handguns, several types if possible since I’m not very familiar with it,” Riya said after some contemplation. “Rifles… well, the lighter types if they exist.”
“I know some.” Samuel nodded.
“As from the Martial Arts Association…” Riya pursed her lips and then said, “Just tell them to collect some medicinal materials and books about it. I want to see how mana affect these medicines.”
And if possible, replicate those medicines that she was familiar with in that world.
Otherwise…
Riya really felt that that she had to study biology from the very beginning again, which was very painful.
“Ok.” Samuel nodded.
Seeing him agreeing so quickly, Riya arched her eyebrows. “You’re surprisingly easy to talk to.”
“Do you want me to disagree? Your request is just a small request compared to the effect of the formation and runes that you will give to them,” Samuel replied with a shrug. “I’ll prepare the well first, is there any specification of the size, height and so on?”
“No. You don’t even have to build it too high and you can also make channel from the top so that when the water overflow from the water source, it could directly enter your water storage,” Riya replied. “It’s nothing more than a temporary holding place in the shape of a well. Of course, try to make it as similar to a real well as possible.”
“Alright.” Samuel nodded and then walked out. It seemed that he had to call his old friend to help him with this matter because he was not very familiar with architecture. “I’ll call you later when it’s done.”
“Ok. I’ll prepare the drawing first.”
With that agreement, Riya walked back to her room and sat down on her bed. She sighed heavily.
‘Is this the right choice?’
To be honest, Riya herself didn’t know whether her decision was the right one or not. But Riya also knew very well that she didn’t want to see everyone die just because of such a trivial matter.
Life is already very difficult…
There was no need to add more difficulties.
‘Besides, living by herself is not fun.’
Riya smiled faintly and looked at the ceiling.
Even if many people might be able to integrate the mana through this method, it was also a very violent method and they would damage their bodies to a certain degree. This method should not be used unless they were desperate.
‘Time to draw.’
Heading to her table, Riya took out a paper and started drawing on it.
The first one was the drawing of the runes on the magic core. The water runes were very simple, only consisting of three strokes and looked like a word. Well, it was indeed a word, in the runes language.
Riya looked at it for a moment and smiled as she drew a circle and then pointed at it, noting how to draw it and the importance of mana control. The size of the runes were also recorded by Riya because for many beginner rune master… they couldn’t control the size well.

To be honest, the size of the runes itself were not very important.
The most important one was their proportion in regards to their shapes. After all, runes were not formed of one straight lines. They were formed through several strokes and each of these strokes had to be of certain proportion.
Otherwise…
Well, the meaning will be different.
Like this water runes, if the last stroke was too big, it would turn into storm and there was no need for her to say about what would happen. Rather than water, what came out would be storm from that water runes.
Riya shivered when she imagined it and silently wrote the precaution and importance of the proportion.
Unless they wanted to die, they should not try other combinations.
Riya looked at the drawing and after she was satisfied, she took another paper and started drawing the purification formation.
This one…
Was a bit more complicated but simple at the same time.
There were two methods for the simple purification formation.
The first method was for them to draw the entire runes, carving them on the wall of the well from inside to outside. This method was also the best, ensuring that the entire structure would be heavily protected by the formation. At the same time, this method was also the most difficult because even the slightest mistake of the runes would cause the entire formation to collapse.
Riya drew the entire formation on several paper before it was done and then she noted their placement after numbering the paper.
There were also some precaution that Riya wrote to make sure those rookies would not accidentally cause explosion…
Some formation was indeed that dangerous and those who were not careful enough might die.
The second method was easier because they only needed to draw five smaller formation, which only consist of three runes each and put them in star position on the well, fixed these stones on the well and then pour mana whenever they wanted to get water.
