Chapter 28: The Outside World
The night passed by quietly.

The next day, Amelia was browsing the news with interest. “Brother, it’s said that because the mist had lightened, many people had become braver and come out.”

“That’s because they’re stupid.” Samuel was very direct.

Amelia: “…”

Riya chuckled but she didn’t participate in their conversation. She was checking her thesis and continued to gather some other documents that she might need. With Samuel standing here, she felt a bit uncomfortable to meditate in the morning.

She will wait until it was time for Amelia to start practicing.

“When I can come back? I miss Mom and Dad.” Amelia flopped on the sofa and looked at the phone in her hand. She was so bored here and could only chat with her parents through phones.

While it did alleviate some of her loneliness, it couldn’t replace the time when she spent her time with them personally.

“They’re doing fine.” Samuel glanced at his younger sister. “If you’re doing training properly, they will be happier.”

Amelia’s face nearly collapsed.

Riya listened to the brother and sister quarreled while continuing to do her thesis. Once she had finished arranging the few documents, she turned to browse about some other matters that she was interested in.

“Alden Family Miss is still busy killing sick animals?” Riya found the news and arched her eyebrows, feeling that this was somewhat interesting.

“Yes. Oh, right, there’s also some internal news. Let me share the video with you.” Amelia sighed. “There are several crazy people during this mist. That Alden Family miss is still rushing to be a butcher but the animals were all sick and couldn’t be more dead.”

“She’s killing sick animals in great fanfare?” Riya was stupefied. She thought it was just a few of them like what was reported in the news.

“Not exactly, but there are several videos from people who watched from their home nearby. It’s controlled by the people from Alden Family, but it spread in our circle. I’ll show you.” Amelia handed the phone to Riya. She often forgot that her circle was a bit different from Riya.

Looking at the screen, Riya watched as the Alden Family Miss carried the big bull by her own and pull it towards the culling machine. After that, she raised the large knife and cut it across the bull to kill it.

The move was extremely violent but also beautiful.

Who would expect that there would be a young and beautiful young lady who could kill a big bull on her own?

“When did she learn martial arts? I didn’t know she’s so strong,” Amelia muttered in a low voice.

On the other hand, Riya’s eyes constricted when she watched it. The process was extremely bloody and violent, but she could also faintly see that there was some blood mist around Alden Family mist.

It was also captured by the camera, but ordinary people wouldn’t really notice it because it was very faint.

But Riya knew that very well.

But some of them also liked to kill human’s magicians because the blood essence was purer and easier to absorb.

Riya forced herself to calm down.

She’s in a peaceful world. The government wouldn’t let her kill other people without restrain, so the only method for her to get blood essence was through killing live stocks. For these sick animals, it was indeed the best method to kill them directly and she was making use of this to get more blood essence.

From what Riya knew, ordinary animals’ blood essence was actually very dirty and could hardly help these demonic magicians to grow.

“Do you think there are truly warriors in this world?” Riya suddenly murmured in a low voice.

Amelia, who was beside Riya, and Samuel, who had heightened sense due to his magic, naturally heard Riya’s words. Samuel’s pupil constricted slightly while Amelia’s eyes showed surprise.

“What makes you think that way?”

“Because she can lift that big cow on her own.” Riya looked at Amelia helplessly. “I can only think that she’s learning martial arts or something but I thought that normal martial arts can’t even reach that point.”

“You don’t even learn martial arts, how do you know?” Amelia rolled her eyes at Riya.

Riya smiled faintly. “It just look magical.”

She turned her eyes to the video in front of her again.

Seeing two types of warriors and magician at such a short period of time, Riya almost confirmed that there were truly warrior and magicians in this world. Perhaps, it was indeed time for these things that previously only hidden in the darkness to come forward.

She had heard that people in the ancient world said that they were all magicians, but it was nothing more than stories.

History had spanned for more than 10,000 years and there were many periods that was missing.
