Runemaster in the Last Days - Chapter 34
Chapter 34: Temporary Peace
Riya put the phone aside after she chatted.
It was mostly thanks to this group that she was able to find out some news about these rich people’s lives. But they all still knew that there were some things that they couldn’t say to outsider.
So only bits and pieces were thrown in the group.
“Little Riya, is there any food left? I’m hungry.”
“Wait a minute.”
“Ok~.”
…
In the end, Riya didn’t know what happened with Jones Family that day. When Samuel come the next day, his expression hadn’t eased and there was faint killing intent lingering around him. It was so sharp that it could kill people if they got close to him.
Amelia couldn’t sense the killing intent, but she felt that her older brother was dangerous.
“Brother…”
“Have you pack up?”
“Y, yes!”
“Let’s go.” Samuel handed a gas mask to Amelia. “It’s safer with this than an ordinary mask.”
Amelia actually didn’t want to use this gas mask, but she knew better than to provoke her older brother when he was angry.
Riya picked up Amelia’s bag and put it near Samuel but she didn’t dare to get close. She knew that Samuel’s realm of control over his killing intent was high, but he was currently very emotional.
With his current magic rank, it wouldn’t be easy for him to perfectly control the overflow of the killing intent when he was angry.
This was the backside of inheriting part of the magic through his soul but his body was unable to hold it.
“See you later, Little Riya!” Amelia waved her hand and followed her brother while he took her luggage.
Riya watched them left and then turned around. She had no interest to pry into Jones Family business. It would be better for her to arrange the formation again. If only her magic was higher, she would be able to arrange a better formation for her own training.
For now, the advance was good enough.
Of course, if other magician were to hear what she said, they would want to smack her head. For them, even the beginner mana Gathering formation was hard to get.
Riya also prepared a formation plate that she could bring along. This would help her to set formation easily because all she needed to activate it was to inject some mana and then let it continue.
When she was finished, she can just throw it to her world.
The mist disappeared.
Everything felt like it had returned to normal aside from many people who had lost their loved ones during the incident.
But time couldn’t be turned back.
They had to continue to live.
Be it for themselves or the people who had left them first.
After Amelia left, Riya paid a visit to the restaurants nearby and found that some of them were already open. She bought some food and also ordered takeaway to her dormitory in the evening.
‘Now, let’s borrow some books first. I had already forgotten some key knowledge.’ Riya rubbed her forehead.
Follow new episodes on the "N0vel1st.c0m".
If only she went to that world after she had graduated, she wouldn’t need to worry about this knowledge because everything had been returned to her teacher.
*ahem*
It was not a good attitude, but Riya’s interest in study had long since disappeared. Having to fight for her life, who would have the time to care about study and lessons?
At least, she couldn’t spare the time.
But now that she was back, Riya wanted to learn things that she had forgotten before. Even if she would not look for jobs in related field, at the very least, the degree had to be obtained.
‘I can also look up for some information about magician in this era. Perhaps there will be some records in the library?’ Riya thought to herself.
The chance was low, but it was not like there was no chance at all.
At the very least, she could try to look for them.
As she walked to the large library, several other students were also there. Riya swept her gaze and then ignored them all.
“Sister.”
