Runemaster in the Last Days - Chapter 53
Chapter 53: Luck
“I can’t see anything good.” Amelia felt rather distressed. She wanted to pick some that she thought quite good, but it didn’t seem to be possible. Besides, she was not good at this and mostly only trying her luck.
But there were many rocks that she felt was only thrown here to make up the number.
It was very annoying.
Riya looked at Amelia helplessly. “This is the lowest section, so you might not find the one that looked promising. However, you can go to the better location.”
“Hmph! I won’t believe that I can’t get pass this. I can do this!” Amelia clasped her fingers into a fist and began to look carefully.
Riya no longer paid any attention to Amelia.
Instead, she was looking at these stones in front of her. After testing for a bit, she only found some that was not particularly valuable. She knew that if she wanted to get a good jade, having abilities alone were not enough.
She also need luck.
Thankfully, after searching for a while, Riya had some luck. She felt the thick mana coming from one of the stone. The raw material itself was also quite big, as big as a basketball ball.
But she was not entirely sure what kind of jade was inside.
After all, what she searched was simply any kind of jade that she could possibly use for her formation.
The kind of jade… didn’t matter.
After putting that jade, Riya picked up a few bunch of relatively ordinary stone that contained jade inside. The mana was not much, but she should be able to obtain some jade inside that she could use to make some repeatable talisman.
Talisman had two kinds, one was one time use and the other could be used repeatedly.
If she used ordinary paper… she could only make the talisman that could only be used once. There should be some better paper, but Riya didn’t know for sure where she could get it.
Anyway, using jade or other valuable items, she could make good talisman that could be repaired with mana after use.
That way, it could last for a long time.
It didn’t take long for Amelia to return. She blinked her eyes when she saw more than 10 stones of various sizes on Riya’s cart.
“This is the D section and normally, there wouldn’t be many good jade. Are you sure you want to buy so much?” Amelia asked, her tone uncertain.
She didn’t care about what Riya wanted to do with the jade, but she would feel heartache if she spent so much money for nothing more than stone. Even if this was the D section where the price was the cheapest, it was still quite expensive for them to buy so many.
“It’s fine. It can be taken as learning experience even if I get nothing.” Riya patted Amelia reassuringly.
Amelia pouted and nodded. “Okay then. I only pick this one stone from here. After this, accompany me to the other section.”
“Got it.”
Riya brushed against the stone that Amelia picked. She could feel the faint fluctuation of mana from inside, which meant that the content inside should contain jade. But it was not a particularly valuable one.
“I’ll checkout first.”
“Yes.”
The price of those at the D section was priced at 250 NA currency per kilo. The total weight that Riya bought was 30 kilos, so she had to pay 7,500. It was not particularly expensive for Riya who still had a few hundred thousand.
‘Maybe I can try my luck in the next section?’
In the end, Riya followed Amelia to the next section after securing the stones in Amelia’s car. Naturally, Riya put the few most valuable stones in her own space while the rest was placed in Amelia’s car.
These were not particularly valuable but useful for Riya to make a few talismans.

Amelia was surprised to see that Riya didn’t want to cut them, but she didn’t pester Riya. Anyway, it was Riya business about what she wanted to do with these stones that might contain jade.
She would only help the other party.
The two of them went to the C section and this time, Riya found two that had good mana and a few that was not very bad. She didn’t pick all of them and only picked four, leaving the rest for others.
At the same time, Riya also bought other stones that contained a bit of mana for other uses.
She repeated the same on the B section.
In the end, Riya spent more than 100,000 NA currency in the C and B section.
As for A section…
Sorry, the price for one stone could cost more than 100,000. Riya was not so extravagant that she was willing to spend so much money.
