Runemaster in the Last Days - Chapter 54
Chapter 54: A Little Drama
“Whoa, you picked a lot by yourself.” Amelia sighed that her car trunk was completely filled with the stones that Riya bought. It seemed that she should have brought a truck instead.
“Don’t worry, it still fit.” Riya smiled.
She put the rest of the stones inside her space, so the trunk only contained some stones that was not particularly valuable. She bought a lot and it would be hard for her to fit everything inside Amelia’s car.
Amelia nodded. “Let’s go to the main section. Sophia should be happily picked some stones by now.”
“Ok.”
Riya entered the store again. She felt that Sophia’s store was quite good, but with so many valuable jade there, it was estimated that they would lose a lot of money if it was bought outside.
But if they cut it here, it could also count as promotion, so it seemed to be fine.
The two went to the main store and saw Sophia was done and had already packed the stone away.
“You’re not going to cut it here?” Amelia joked as the two women walked inside.
Sophia glanced at the two of them and rolled her eyes. “Why should I? I’m just picking additional stones for my store. If there’s any jade there, it’ll be thrown directly into my store.”
“It can be a good promotion.” Amelia smiled.
“I only have share of this store and this didn’t belong fully to me.” Sophia had no interested to cut her jade here. She had done so many times in the past and this store was already famous a few times because of it.
There was no need to add more drama to it.
Even if it was good for publication, it was only a small scale and Sophia’s family didn’t lack this little bit of promotion. Besides, Sophia was not interested in making a headlines with her own photo. She was already famous enough and the price of fame was that there were many stalkers.
Sophia was tired of those.
“Are you done?”
“Yes, I packed them into Amelia’s car.”
“Will her car fit?” Sophia laughed in surprise. “If you had said that you planned to buy a lot, I would have prepared a special car for you instead.”
“There’s no need for that.” Riya shook her head.
She didn’t want to trouble other people so much. Since the trunk was enough to fit those stones, there was no need to trouble Sophia.
“How about if we play a game…” Amelia hadn’t finished talking when there was a call from the back.
“Amelia!”
Turning around, they all saw Valeria stood there. She had a great figure and beautiful face, but her current expression was a bit distorted after seeing Amelia and the others. Looking at her expensive clothes, other people knew that she’s rich, but Riya knew that they were out to date because Amelia had shown the picture of similar clothes before the mist happened.
Riya thought of the problems in the Jones Family a few months ago.
It seemed that the branch family failed to take advantage of the situation and ended up being oppressed instead. Knowing Amelia’s cousin, she knew very well that Valeria would not want to wear outdated clothes.
“Oh, what is it Second Cousin?” Amelia asked.
“You think you’re so good, huh?” Valeria gritted her teeth. “Because of you, I ended up in the hospital for several weeks.”
At that time during the mist happening, Valeria was so hungry that she went to Amelia’s room to knock. But Amelia didn’t open it at all because she didn’t want to be entangled with this annoying cousin of hers.
Not to mention, she herself was also eating Riya’s food.
What right would she have to share other people’s food when it was precious?

They could try to get out and bought some outside, but it would be quite risky because of the mist and all. There was no way anyone would want to take the risk when they knew that the mist would disappear within a few days unless they have no other choice.
“What? You’re blaming me for not sharing food when I have none?” Amelia sneered. “Do you think I’m a Mary Sue who will give you my food when I barely have enough myself? Sorry, I’m not so kind.”
Because of entering the mist, Valeria got sick and was hospitalized. The virus itself had caused Valeria to be so tormented to the point that it was not easy for them to get out.
Her family was distressed, but they also had to split their time for their plan and take care of their daughter.
In the end, their plan bitterly failed.
They achieved nothing and instead wasted a lot of money until Samuel pushed them back and they could only try their best to do something.
