Chapter 67: Going Out of the Building
Ruby frowned and wanted to say that it was dangerous, but seeing Riya’s look, Ruby could only nod. In this situation, it was not good if she were to stay by herself and she didn’t know what the situation outside was.
Besides, she would also feel safer if she was with her two good friends.
“Ok.”
Ruby held the blanket and came out while still wrapping herself tightly. It was clear that if there were to be aftershock, Ruby planned to use this thick blanket to cover and protect herself.
For her action, Riya didn’t say much and only brought Ruby to her and Amelia’s dormitory.
At this time, Amelia was already packing up and do some basic cleaning.
“Ruby!” Amelia smiled. “Are you alright?”
“Yes, are we going out?” Ruby asked and looked at the window in front of them. Seeing the devastating scene, Ruby took a deep breath and felt that the world was truly unkind to them right now.
But the strange thing was…
There was no early warning whatsoever.
The technology should have developed enough for them to develop the early warning for earthquake and many other disasters. But this time, there was no warning whatsoever, which was rather strange.
Is this a sudden earthquake?
“Well, do you want to stay here?” Amelia frowned. Looking at the building that seemed to be on the verge of breaking down, Amelia truly didn’t want to stay here any longer.
She was afraid that this building would collapse and eventually caused them all to die in this building.
“No.” Ruby shook her head decisively. She frowned. “I’ll pack up quickly.”
Thankfully, she had only arrived here not long ago, which made her hadn’t had the time to fully unpacked yet. Her belongings were all still in the bag.
“Ok, you should hurry.”
“Yes.”
“Are there any other people in this building?” Riya asked. She didn’t really come out of her room, so she didn’t know if there were other students who stayed in the dormitory aside from them and Ruby.
If there were other people here, then it would be quite troublesome since they might be forced to go together.
“Not that I know of.” Amelia frowned. “Wait, my cousin might be here.”
Amelia’s cousin?
If Amelia’s expression was like that, then the cousin she meant should be Valeria and not Victoria. Victoria was I’m a Baby in their chat group and had a good relationship with them. On the other hand, Valeria was Victoria’s sister, but she has a bad relationship with them all.
They had several conflicts lately such as the one when Valeria came and demanded food or the time when they conflicted in the stone place.
“Do you want to help her?” Riya asked.
Amelia shook her head. “Anyway, pack up and then let’s go. Don’t take too long.”
“I won’t.”
There was nothing important here and Riya simply put her laptop and other things into her space. After that, she took her bag and put some of her clothes there while the rest of her clothes were put in the space. She then brought some of the food into her bag.
When they were done, they came out of the room and then walked towards the stairs.
“This…”

Part of the stairs were broken and they couldn’t come down normally.
“How should we go down now?” Ruby asked.
They all only carried one backpack, which was considered small and light. Even if they wanted to bring a lot of things, it would not be possible. They were at the fourth floor.
Riya looked at the part of the broken stairs and calculated. “You can jump to the side instead.”
“My sports skill is not very good and I’m afraid I can’t make such an action.” Ruby raised her hand weakly. She was not very good at sports and if they were to be forced to jump, she couldn’t guarantee that she could do it.
“Then I’ll do it first.”
“Eh, wait, Riya, aren’t you…”
Tep.
Before Amelia could finish speaking, Riya had already coated her body with mana and then jumped to the side.
Even though mana was said to only be used by magician for spells, it was not entirely true.
Mana could be said to be the nature’s energy.
By drawing mana into their body, they could use it for various things.
Spells were only one of them.
And through using mana, they could also strengthen their body to a certain degree. For Riya, whose physical talent could be said to be really bad, she was using the mana in order to enhance her physical strength.
Even if this work temporarily, but it was good enough.
“It’s still sturdy enough,” Riya said as she stepped on the stairs and then looked down. There were some ruins on the third floor, but it was not that bad.
