Chapter 73: Going Out
There were two types of formation.

Ones that used runes and the other one only used the position. To be honest, the one that used position was simpler, but the effect was generally weaker because they couldn’t control the mana so accurately. They were also usually used in wider place and could be used to cover a large area.

Many people used positional formation because it was easier to learn. But at the same time, they would need magic tools to form this formation effectively otherwise it would be hard to make a formation in this world with thin mana.

The other formation that used runes were more complicated because they had to recognize the runes and also made sure it was stacked well. There were thousands types of runes and memorizing each and every single one of them was more than enough to make many people crazy. Because even the slightest bit of difference in the rune shape could change the rune’s meaning.

So people without good memory and talent would never be able to learn these runes and become formation maser.

Riya learned both formation.

But the one she mainly learnt was the rune formation, so she often called herself as Rune Master. This formation did exist in that world and it was also the name that Riya chose to identify for herself.

Because her best skills were indeed in these runes.

Meditating for a while, Riya soon recovered her mana and inspected her heart. She could sense her mana was growing quickly and then looked outside.

She was using her Advanced Mana Gathering Formation but at the same time, mana concentration of the world had increased sharply after the earthquake.

‘So the mana source should be deep down below.’

The mana source should have been blocked, which was why the mana in this world was really thin in the beginning. But after Riya and a few others returned from their ‘journey’ in the other world, there might be some changes.

Riya didn’t know how many people transmigrated into that magic world.

“Riya?”

Hearing the call, Riya raised her head and looked at Ruby who had woken up. She smiled and asked, “How are you feeling?”

“We can try or we will be stuck here for the rest of our lives,” Riya replied.

She could deal with these magic beasts and had already cleared up this area. But she couldn’t possibly protect Ruby and Amelia for the rest of their lives. What Riya wanted was to let them find a save place to stay for the time being while she cleaned up the areas.

At the same time, Riya wanted to investigate the cracks.

She had set up the formation and next time she came here, she would be able to go inside. Hopefully the formation would kill enough magic beasts.

And Riya wanted to know whether there were rank 1 or above magic beasts.

These magic beasts have magic cores, which would be very useful for her.

Riya guessed that there might be other cracks, so she also planned to check it out.

“Right.” Ruby took a deep breath and took out a bottle from her bag. “This is the zombie potion I mentioned to you before. Do you think it’ll be useful for the magic beasts?”

“I see.” Ruby sighed and put the bottle away.

“Maybe you can try to use other potions you make?” Riya asked with some hesitation. She was not sure what kind of potions and medicines that Ruby had made.

“I don’t make medicines for the sake of fighting,” Ruby said quietly.

The two of them looked at each other and sighed.

After that, they turned to look at Amelia, who had woken up and looked at the two of them. She blinked her eyes in confusion.

“Why are you looking at me like that?”

“How’s your strength, Amelia?” Riya asked.

“Uh, my brother said that my strength is barely rank 1 magic warrior, but I’m not sure what ranking he used,” Amelia replied.

Before she ran away, her brother had tested her and gauged her current strength. It was not very good in Samuel’s opinion but in the ordinary world, it meant that Amelia was strong and they didn’t have to worry about her safety.

Now that they were facing these magic beasts…

‘Facing a group of magic beasts wouldn’t be possible, but if it’s just one…’ Riya looked at Amelia and pursed her lips.

She could only apologize to Amelia in her heart.

Because she didn’t want to expose her skills and the only way for them to reasonably get out was through using Amelia’s skills. But in this way, Amelia would have to fight these magic beasts.
