Chapter 88: The Association Information
“What?” Sean was stunned.
“Wait! Riya!” Amelia was not any better and quickly held Riya’s shoulder to shake it. “Are you serious? Can you even get out of here with the group of magic beasts outside? You better stay in the base honestly and…”
“Amelia, I told you before that I have some skills, right?” Riya interrupted before Amelia started an hour long lecture.
She knew that her action would look reckless in front of others, but she really couldn’t stay in this base.
At least, not now.
There will be a time when her strength and ability exposed for the world to see. But right now, Riya was unwilling to let others find out about her skills.
At most, she would explain a bit to Amelia to make sure the other party would not worry.
“But, the outside world is so dangerous.” Amelia frowned.
If this was the ordinary world, then Amelia would not care what Riya was doing. After all, there was no danger of dying at any moment. They could also contact each other through their phones and so on.
But in this changed world, Amelia knew very well that Riya might be killed by those magic beasts at any moment.
This made her unwilling to let Riya go.
What if…?
“I can take care of myself,” Riya replied. “Besides, it’s not like I can do anything if I were to stay here.”
Didn’t she say that she has some ability?
Sean’s lips twitched when he heard Riya’s contradicting words. He shook his head and patted Amelia’s shoulder. “I’m going back first. You should go back inside too soon.”
In any case, it was not his business. Riya is not his friend but his sister’s friend and he had no interest to get involved in her matter and decisions. If she wanted to leave, then he would not stop her.
With that, Sean entered the house first.
Riya and Amelia were still in Amelia’s house courtyard, standing not far from where Amelia unloaded her resources not long ago. The gate was closed, so the people outside couldn’t really see them but if they were louder, the people outside could definitely hear them.
“Ok.” Amelia nodded at her younger brother and then looked at Riya firmly. “I can’t let you go out and die out there…”
“I have some magic skills, Amelia,” Riya said slowly.
Magic skills?
Amelia, who wanted to persuade Riya to stay, was stunned when she heard that and looked at Riya in disbelief. The so called magic was something that Amelia had only known after her brother suddenly given the order for them to learn it.
So when she heard Riya’s words, Amelia was in disbelief.
Why does everyone around her seem to know magic while she only know the most basic spell that her brother taught her?
And from the way Riya looked like, she didn’t seem to be afraid of these magic beasts. Coupled with Riya’s explanation, Amelia seemed to understand the reason.
How could RIya be afraid if she’s stronger than them?
The main reason why Riya didn’t make a move was for her training and because she didn’t want to show her skills?
“Can you use magic spells?” Amelia asked doubtfully.
If this was a year ago, Amelia would never believe that there would be a day when she asked this kind of question. After all, she didn’t believe in magic at all at that time and would think that the other party was crazy.
But after seeing her brother’s skill, learning some basic skills herself, and then watched the world changed…

Amelia had to believe it even if she didn’t want to.
Otherwise, she would be eliminated by the tide of time and might not be able to survive in this world.
“No,” Riya replied.
She didn’t use magic spells but magic runes. There were clear differences between them. Magic spells were basically using words to sing the rhymes needed to cast the spells along with the hand and feet gestures.
To be honest, it looked a bit like dancing and singing, which looked really good.
Of course, sometimes, it looked a bit too fancy and Riya felt embarrassed just watching these movements.
On the other hand, magic runes didn’t use any singing and instead through forming the runes directly in the air through their mana. The moment the runes were finished, it would launch their effects such as elemental attack and many others.
Her skills were more simple and direct.
And to be honest, it was also more boring to watch.
Other people were dancing and singing… *cough* casting spells, Riya directly raised her hand to form the runes.
“Then…”
“I have these…”
Riya took out one cooling talisman and handed it to Amelia. “Try to inject mana.”
“Huh?” Amelia looked at the piece of paper in front of her with strange snowflake like drawing on the surface and infused her mana. She might be a magic warrior, but she still has mana and could use it to form simple magic spell.
The problem was that the amount was really small.
It was hard for Amelia to use magic spells so his older brother only taught her the counterattack shield spell.
Other spells?
Wait until she increased her mana.
Amelia was basically the laziest in the family and Samuel had headache when he thought about this sister of his.
“Hmm?”
After the mana was infused, Amelia was surprised to find that she felt really cool. There was a faint cold wind from the paper in front of her and she turned it around but she couldn’t really see anything from this paper.
It’s really a genuine paper.
But it can produce cold temperature?
Amelia raised her head to look at Riya. “This is…”
“You can call it talisman or magic scrolls,” Riya replied. The difference in terms were because the people in that world lived in different areas. One areas were filled with magic and the other was filled with more ordinary people.
For Riya herself, she was used to call this as talisman.
